Researchers have found several pieces of alleged ‘technology’ that point towards a time when our planet was inhabited by sophistical and advanced societies that somehow, mysterious vanished from Earth.

In Labinsk, Russia, researchers discovered what appears to be some sort of microchip embedded into stone. According to scholars this discovery marks the beginning of a completely new history, one that many ancient alien theorists have been talking about for years.

After countless tests, researchers have come to the conclusion that this antique piece was used as some sort of microchip in ancient times. The million dollar question is, who and what used a microchip that dates back 250 million years? Is there a possibility that this is in fact the remains of ancient technology? According to a statement from a Russian geologist: these traces were left by vehicles that belonged to an advanced ancient civilization that inhabited our planet 14 million years ago.

Geologist Alexander Koltypin believes that the mysterious markings that extend along the Phrygian Valley, in central Turkey, were made by an intelligent race between 12 and 14 million years ago.

“We can assume that ancient vehicles with “wheels” were driven into the soft ground, perhaps a wet surface,” said the geologist. “Because of the great weight of these vehicles, they left behind very deep grooves which eventually petrified and turned into evidence.”

The masses can no longer escape the knowledge that they’re being taken for a walk down a dark alley. The way money is created in our global society benefits the so-called elite at the expense of the 99.9%. It doesn’t have to be this way though, all we have to do is stand up and demand that it change.

Of course we can. If so, we could genuinely attempt to finally overcome poverty, homelessness and other socioeconomic disadvantage. In fact, there are some places on earth that have already taken the lead in transforming the way money is created and distributed in their society.

"To what, then, are the remarkable achievements of this lone public bank attributable? The answer is something the privately-owned major media have tried to sweep under the rug: the public banking model is simply more profitable and efficient than the private model. Profits, rather than being siphoned into offshore tax havens, are recycled back into the bank, the state and the community”.

Last week, something remarkable happened;

The Bank of England let the cat out of the bag. In a paper called "Money Creation in the Modern Economy", co-authored by three economists from the Bank's Monetary Analysis Directorate, they stated outright that most common assumptions of how banking works are simply wrong, and that the kind of populist, heterodox positions more ordinarily associated with groups such as Occupy Wall Street are correct. In doing so, they have effectively thrown the entire theoretical basis for austerity out of the window.

To get a sense of how radical the Bank's new position is, consider the conventional view, which continues to be the basis of all respectable debate on public policy. People put their money in banks. Banks then lend that money out at interest - either to consumers, or to entrepreneurs willing to invest it in some profitable enterprise.

True, the fractional reserve system does allow banks to lend out considerably more than they hold in reserve, and true, if savings don't suffice, private banks can seek to borrow more from the central bank.

The central bank can print as much money as it wishes. But it is also careful not to print too much. In fact, we are often told this is why independent central banks exist in the first place. If governments could print money themselves, they would surely put out too much of it, and the resulting inflation would throw the economy into chaos.

Institutions such as the Bank of England or US Federal Reserve were created to carefully regulate the money supply to prevent inflation. This is why they are forbidden to directly fund the government, say, by buying treasury bonds, but instead fund private economic activity that the government merely taxes.

It's this understanding that allows us to continue to talk about money as if it were a limited resource like bauxite or petroleum, to say "there's just not enough money" to fund social programmes, to speak of the immorality of government debt or of public spending "crowding out" the private sector.





What the Bank of England admitted this week is that none of this is really true. To quote from its own initial summary:

"Rather than banks receiving deposits when households save and then lending them out, bank lending creates deposits" … "In normal times, the central bank does not fix the amount of money in circulation, nor is central bank money 'multiplied up' into more loans and deposits."

In other words, everything we know is not just wrong – it's backwards.

When banks make loans, they create money. This is because money is really just an IOU.

The role of the central bank is to preside over a legal order that effectively grants banks the exclusive right to create IOUs of a certain kind, ones that the government will recognise as legal tender by its willingness to accept them in payment of taxes.

There's really no limit on how much banks could create, provided they can find someone willing to borrow it.

They will never get caught short, for the simple reason that borrowers do not, generally speaking, take the cash and put it under their mattresses; ultimately, any money a bank loans out will just end up back in some bank again.

So for the banking system as a whole, every loan just becomes another deposit. What's more, insofar as banks do need to acquire funds from the central bank, they can borrow as much as they like; all the latter really does is set the rate of interest, the cost of money, not its quantity.

Since the beginning of the recession, the US and British central banks have reduced that cost to almost nothing.

In fact, with "quantitative easing" they've been effectively pumping as much money as they can into the banks, without producing any inflationary effects.

What this means is that the real limit on the amount of money in circulation is not how much the central bank is willing to lend, but how much government, firms, and ordinary citizens, are willing to borrow.

Government spending is the main driver in all this (and the paper does admit, if you read it carefully, that the central bank does fund the government after all). So there's no question of public spending "crowding out" private investment. It's exactly the opposite.

Why did the Bank of England suddenly admit all this? Well, one reason is because it's obviously true.

The Bank's job is to actually run the system, and of late, the system has not been running especially well. It's possible that it decided that maintaining the fantasy-land version of economics that has proved so convenient to the rich is simply a luxury it can no longer afford.

The word “mortgage” comes from the French “mort-gage”, literally death-pledge. The French peasants were working until they died for the privilege of owning a house. Same Game! Same People! But politically, this is taking an enormous risk. Just consider what might happen if mortgage holders realised the money the bank lent them is not, really, the life savings of some thrifty pensioner, but something the bank just whisked into existence through its possession of a magic wand which we, the public, handed over to it.

Historically, the Bank of England has tended to be a bellwether, staking out seeming radical positions that ultimately become new orthodoxies. If that's what's happening here, we might soon be in a position to learn if Henry Ford was right.

In the case of politics, the phrase is used to describe the generation of public approval, not through exemplary or excellent public service or public policy, but through diversion; distraction; or the mere satisfaction of the immediate, shallow requirements of a populace, as an offered "palliative." Its originator, Juvenal, used the phrase to decry the selfishness of common people and their neglect of wider concerns. The phrase also implies the erosion or ignorance of civic duty amongst the concerns of the commoner.

How do they maintain this illusion? Mental conditioning is the name of the game for the designers and propagators of the matrix.

Once the pattern is established in its captive subjects, the more you can pour the lies on without them being noticed. Also disguised is the fact that their every intention for humanity is for control and exploitation....at any cost or consequence to these expendable "human resources".

To achieve this conditioning requires quite an effort on their part, because we are ultimately irrepressible and they know that. It's like chemtrails. If they don't keep spraying the required concentration of their toxic soup the effects start to wane, like the fluoride dosing and the rest. To keep the vast majority sleep walking they use all kinds of methods and have to maintain them.

Basic Simple Questions

Some fundamental questions that beg answers that are evident before any clear thinking individual:

How can a government usurping monstrosity like the United Snakes Corporation and its affiliate thugs gang rape a planet and make it look benevolent?

How can obviously lying elitist politicians bought off by the highest bidder be taken as serious entities in governing institutions?

How can known secretive government sponsored agencies pull off assassinations and staged bombings and shootings in plain sight?

How can the most murderous, supremacist, fascist, arrogant, racist people on earth be called "the chosen ones" and given title to anything they want including their own sanctioned Zionist territory and ravenous, genocidal agenda and be given complete religious, social and political immunity and massive financial support? All supposedly based on clearly misguided insane religious zeal?

How can sweeping freedom destroying measures be instituted by "executive order" and other means in a representative republic, or any supposedly democratic regime?

How can the food, water and air be deliberately poisoned in public knowledge and in plain sight?

How can the genetic modification of not just plants and animals but human beings be tolerated, no matter the stated justification?

How can technocratic electro-surveillance, artificial intelligence, robotic warfare and social and mental manipulation be known and accepted as legitimate human altering science and in full implementation for mass control?

....and on and on...why wouldn't people in such an abused situation not go virtually berserk in protest, or a least speak out on a massive scale?

The Hypnotic Rhythm of Anesthesia

Every day I'm just amazed that so few seem to notice what's going on. The business as usual behavior and shallow chatter about nothing and the complete dependence on routine behavior for money and phony goals is just mind-boggling.

Clearly, there won't be a world in which to live even those shallow goals if things aren't changed drastically.

The day we hope our children and grandchildren to grow up in is quickly becoming not just night, but a literal nightmare.

Who's Behind This?

I'm convinced there's something very occult and spiritual that is ultimately behind all this, and these described techniques are just to augment the signal from the bowels of the matrix, be they archontic or some other form of inter-dimensional influence perpetrated by willing psychopaths amongst us. Just as how chemtrails are used by the EMFs to manipulate weather patterns while serving other purposes, they provide an enhanced medium for these spiritual influences to take effect.

Comment: There has been an enormous effort to promulgate disinformation regarding chemtrails which includes inducing the belief, against the evidence, that the government is "in control of the weather."

Certainly, there is some kind of atmospheric spraying going on in many places, but this activity is mainly aimed at:

1) providing a bounce screen for HAARP mind control waves;

2) providing fuel for the rumors that the government is in control by dribbling a few toxic substances onto the masses which

3) can make people sick and thus more susceptible to the mind control waves.

The question arises, is something else being perpetrated on a massive scale? Are we subjects of another realm?

I don't know. But does it matter where this oppression originates? I'm sure aware of the possibility and inclined to think so, but that doesn't excuse or distance me from the very real struggle we find ourselves in.

A BBC journalist, John Darvall, has lambasted his own career at the BBC.

“This poor piece of journalism made Tuesday probably the worst day of this whole episode so far."

This provoked wider criticism of traditional media from Darvall.

“This week TV and newspapers have proven to me why they are not the future of news."

Darvall then hailed the internet as the bastion of real media.

“The internet allows us to come to our own conclusions by checking our own facts. We really can’t trust the traditional outlets to do it right or properly."

He specified social media as the future of of news.

“If they can’t even get their facts right, be trusted with clear information and then report it accurately is it any wonder that we are all turning to Facebook, Twitter and other internet sources for our news and information?"

He said this of his own career:

“I am ashamed to be a journalist."

And left us with a piece of advice:

“Trust nothing you read or watch."

Can we trust the BBC?

The BBC is the envy of much of the world: a media free from vested interest; free to serve the public for the greater good. We observe the likes of Fox News in the USA and are thankful. A properly informed public is the foundation of any meaningful democracy, and a publicly owned media outlet can circumvent the position of the powerful as the ‘gatekeepers’ of information.

This is the concept of the BBC, but the reality is far from it. A major content analysis from Cardiff University reveals the BBC is in fact pro-business and conservative leaning in its coverage, contrary to George Osborne’s claims that the BBC has an ‘anti-business’ slant.

The study found that on BBC News at Six, business representatives outnumbered trade union spokespersons by a ratio of more than 5-to-1 in 2007, and of 19-to-1 in 2012. Research into the BBC coverage of the 2008 financial crisis revealed similar pro-business sentiment. Opinion was almost completely dominated by investment bankers, stockbrokers and other city voices.

Not only does the corporation give disproportionate voice to big business, but it gives Tories more airtime than Labour. When Gordon Brown was in power in 2007, his coverage exceeded that of David Cameron by a ratio of 2-to-1. This is to be expected: the current Prime Minister will get more airtime. But, in 2012 Cameron’s coverage exceeded that of Ed Miliband by double that ratio (4-to-1).

One might say Labour’s reluctance to put Miliband front and centre is the reason for this. However, the study found much the same disparity when comparing cabinet members and ministers to their counterparts in the shadow cabinet.

Under a Conservative government in 2012, coverage of Tory ministers exceeded that of their Labour counterparts, again by more than 4-to-1. Meanwhile, under the 2007 Labour government, Labour ministers’ exceeded that of their Conservative counterparts, again by only 2-to-1. Factoring in who is presently in power, the Tories still get double the airtime Labour do.

A root cause of this is the way members of the BBC Trust are selected. The BBC Trust is the body that governs and regulates the corporation. Currently, the monarch appoints BBC Trust members on the advice of government ministers. This has led to a public service run by people with strong business and political affiliation.

Rona Fairhead was made Chairwoman of the BBC Trust on the recommendation of former Conservative culture secretary Sajid Javid. She serves on the board of directors of several large corporations, including PepsiCo and HSBC. She is also the business ambassador for the UK Trade and Investment governing body.

The Vice-Chairwoman, Diane Coyle, sits on the advisory panel for EDF and is managing director of ‘Enlightenment Economics’, an economic consultancy for large corporate clients, such as Vodafone.

The presenter for the BBC’s flagship political programme Daily Politics is Andrew Neil, chairman of the conservative news outlet ‘The Spectator’ and publisher of London global business magazine, ‘The Business’.

The business editor is Kamal Ahmed of the right-wing Sunday Telegraph, who was rebuked by the Guardian’s Nick Davies for ‘banging the war drums’ over the invasion of Iraq.

We might avoid such disproportionate coverage were the regulatory body not spearheaded by tycoons. While they may not actively seek to advance a particular agenda, they are predisposed to the ideology behind their affiliations.

The BBC is worth fighting for. The concept is incredible, but it needs huge reform. The government should not simply dictate who sits on the regulatory body. The BBC Trust should be representative of the public it is supposed to serve, not the vested interest it is supposed to bypass.

When Darvall tells us to trust nothing we read in the media, his advice penetrates even the BBC, which is often considered the global standard of honest journalism.

It is. It’s outdated programming and the engineers of deceit can’t keep up. The vibrational changes are exceeding their capabilities. You know how your phone or computer’s software goes out of date, and new programs can’t operate? It’s the same thing.

First of all you’re in the wrong mindset if you’re looking only for data or left brained evidence, although it’s out there for those who can see.

When we come to understand the vibrational workings of our holographic reality everything takes on new dimensions and opens us up to understanding these more esoteric notions.
  
Those with hearts that can see, feel this. I say hearts because much of what we need to grasp or at least track is intuitive. Taking all of the information and dot connecting and personal spiritual experience together paints very clear pictures, we just need to trust what we’re seeing and learning. When we explore these realities we’re sensing we start to notice how they’re manifesting.

But it’s kind of a conscious or spiritual symbiosis we’re experiencing. They all work together. But ignoring the spiritual and metaphysical as “evidence” in conjunction with such obvious manifestations is why this world has devolved to its current state.

Previous enlightened civilizations and earth connected tribes took this to heart. Our current imposed paradigm does nothing of the sort.


The Computer Analogy

It’s just like expired or outdated software. Their programs can’t keep up with the changes the cosmos is bringing to our planet and race. That’s exactly it. While they’ve literally gotten away with murder for millennia and are working furiously to enforce their “programs” at so many levels, the time’s up.

Sorry Charlie, but you’ve been superceded, or should I say “super seeded”. The new upgraded paradigm is taking over fellas.

It’s just a matter of time before your whole wicked system crashes.

No savior, no galactic battlestars. It’s us, and an organic consciousness evolution at the deepest level with a living, expanding and enveloping Universe. Awakening with Creation Itself.
  
Anyone who’s woken up to almost any degree understands everything is interconnected. Even “modern” physics is arriving at this reality, all while mainstream thinking ignores the profound ramifications.

That we’re all interconnected not just as a race, but with the earth and the cosmos in such a fundamental way is a game changer.

While this has been known for eons, our current control model cannot even begin to acknowledge this fact. To these oligarchs and self-appointed maniacal masterminds, no matter what powers they’re summoning, that truth is something apparently well beyond their debased comprehension.

Sure, they have their satanic rituals and tap into other dimensional entities, but it’s child’s play compared to the True picture of our all Powerful Creative Universe. That they live in rebellion against this Force is a known reality for millennia, and even alluded to by spiritual traditions and native shamanic teachings alike for ages. Bringing this understanding “down to earth” is another story.  
  
This is why the transhumanism agenda is so important to them. This merging of man with machine has been in the works for a long time. Clipping the link with our humanity by short circuiting the human creation is an obvious next step for these would-be controllers.

Agreed, they’ve made it a fad and carefully groomed acceptance of such a trend, but it’s going to fritz and die in the junkyard of temporal existence. It can’t stand, never mind last, in such a creative force field.
  
Time will bear this out, as has happened to previous off-course civilizations.


Is This For Real?

It’s up to us. We have everything going for us. But our will and actions need to be aligned with this transition. We can ignore it or respond.

The sanctity of our free will cannot be violated. Either we get paddling and ride the wave or it crashes on us and perhaps dissipates on the shores of time for lack of recognition or response.

And the whole cycle may need to be repeated. Not a nice destiny. I don’t know.

I know I’m not coming back. I’m done with this insanity and am doing my damnedest to change things this time around. If we all did it won’t get repeated, but time will tell.

Not many seem to be willing to respond, even though their lives and their children and grandchildren’s lives are at stake. Talk about self imposed defeat and debilitation.
  
Either way, the matrix will collapse. But the true civilization of love, peace, harmony and abundance awaits manifesting.

So, when they said that we must be ruled by law, they actually mean “bend down to our will, whims and caprices.” A strange lady bearing the corporate name of KAREN HUDES has had a long spat with common law practitioner, Anna Von Reitz, and it is interesting where these two ladies stand as it would shed light more on the former as a person and her real role as “World Bank whistleblower” and should also provide as a good review of how Corporatocracy thrives.

We have been made aware also of a PDF document where HUDES accused us as a CIA front, just like she accused Neil Keenan and Ben Fulford of the same crime much earlier. We, of course, consider HUDES a nuisance and of no value to the global freedom movement whatsoever. The Jesuits should have silenced her a long time ago for poor acting performance.

Judge Anna von Reitz has been dueling with former World Bank attorney Karen Hudes for some time. Ms. Hudes claims to be a “truther”.

Congress is corrupt, and pretty much always HAS been corrupt. The government has always been working for themselves, not for The People. They are criminals, and it’s time we rounded them up, stripped them of their assets and locked them up in their own prisons.

Researchers in the Lufkin Case discovered another Motherlode of evidence involving more deliberate corporate semantic deceit and fraud. (Southern District of Texas, Houston Division No. 4:14-CV-0027 and Eastern District of Texas, Lufkin Division No. 9:14-CV-138 - the “Lufkin Case”). I am not sure who to credit for this snippet of case analysis, so will just point out that the next three paragraphs are quotes from a discussion of the case and they present the source of an absolutely crucial bit of information: In Congress on June 30, 1864 (described in detail in both the Houston and Lufkin Record): On that date, Congress quietly decreed that the word “state” (and shortly thereafter “State” and “United States”) means “the territories and the District of Columbia” (13 Stat. 223, 306, ch. 173, sec. 182, June 30, 1864 [Go to “Turn to image” 306]) - but ultimately translates to the District of Columbia only and excludes by design all commonwealths united by and under authority of the Constitution and admitted into the Union . Since June 30, 1864, any Joint Tenant in the Sovereignty (you) who innocently believes or admits that he resides in a state, State, or the United States, unwittingly confesses or concedes that he is a resident of the District of Columbia - and subject to the absolute, exclusive legislative power of Congress and jurisdiction of District of Columbia executive and bench officers (Department of Justice attorneys and United States District Judges and Magistrates).” The upshot of all this is that no “US District Court” has jurisdiction outside the actual District of Columbia. It is just a matter of time before the entire “federal” court system is recognized as a crime syndicate and liquidated. All the millions of people jailed over income taxes? Karen Hudes is now advocating “The Rule of Law” and claiming that failure to maintain “The Rule of Law” will land us back “in the Dark Ages”. Where in Heaven’s name does she think we have been? Americans have clearly and forever stated that we don’t live under “The Rule of Law”. We live under the Rule of the People - of the people, by the people, and for people. The phenomenon known as the Dark Night of the Soul is something which many spiritual seekers experience on their journey to re-enlightenment.

Peeling the Onion

The word ‘night’ is misleading. This is a process, and thankfully so. I doubt you would want to experience the purification process all at once. My own Dark Night journey began in 1994 and culminated this year (2013). While that may seem like an inordinate amount of time, I didn’t go through the process continually, thank heavens, but rather in stages. The length and intensity of the process is determined by the degree of purification one requires.

You feel totally alone. You don't know many, if any, people that have gone through this. You don't feel like being bothered with loved ones and friends that don't understand because they either think you are crazy and need help or their own fears arise about it and it make matters worse. You barely have any energy or interests anymore.

Think of this as peeling an onion. Each layer you strip away brings tears to your eyes. You stop for a while in order to recover, and then you proceed to the next layer. Once you reach the core, you are at the heart of your angst. This is often the toughest part of the process which is why it comes last. You build up your strength and your ability to face your core issue(s). Your higher self will not let you access this core until you are ready.

The good news is you have already faced the worst. Nothing that you unearth during this process will ever be as bad as the original pain you experienced. You were strong enough to face it once, so you are more than capable of releasing it now. And, once it’s purified, it is gone for good.

Ego Death

Essentially, the Dark Night of the Soul is the death of the (malignant) ego. I say ‘malignant’ because the ego is not inherently bad or in need of extinguishing. The ego provides the soul with the illusion of separation so that we may explore creations that differ from the unified field of Love from which we originate.

The ego in its present form, however, is overly dominant. We live in an egocentric era. The Cult to Self is celebrated through our worship of celebrity, fame, fortune, superficial beauty and power. Narcissistic behaviors are often rewarded in this ego-driven climate. The external world is a projection result of the malignancy of our collective ego state.

Needless to say, the ego does not take kindly to the awakening and enlightenment process. It sees the spiritual awakening process as a threat to its very existence and, in many ways, it is right. As you begin to remember more about your spiritual origins, the allure of ego lessens. This eventually breaks ego’s hold over you, and the ego begins to shrink away.

From the ego’s perspective, this equates to death. It, therefore, isn’t going to surrender without a fight. The key is not to resist the ego. That being said, non-resistance is not easy. In fact, your ego will do everything in its power to cling to the old, but your higher self knows better.

Existential Crisis

As we awaken from the shadows of our dream life on Earth to the limitless, formless, eternal nature of the Soul, the form and thought-based illusions of our life begin to dissolve. The very foundation of one’s human existence crumbles, leading to an existential crisis of faith.

Symptoms Include:

Deep introspection and angst

Questioning the meaning and purpose of life

Feeling that life is meaningless

Isolation; feeling alone, cut off from others

Facing mortality

Feeling empty, devoid of joy

Your existential crisis can cut you off from others. The battle you’re fighting is internal. It’s akin to depression, except that it is spiritual rather than mental in nature. The ego is fighting for its life, and thus it resists the purification process.

Remember though, these symptoms stem from the ego’s perspective on life. The soul knows that everything has meaning, pleasure and beauty. Once you supplant your ego with your soul, life becomes vibrant again.


Purification by Fire

As your ego’s domain is dismantled, your external world will reflect this internal process. That which does not serve your highest good falls away. While this stage may seem destructive and painful, it is actually helping to break ego’s hold over you by forcing it to surrender everything it holds dear.

It’s like the old adage says: “Beware the man who has nothing left to lose”. That man is absolutely fearless. When you lose everything your ego values, its fear-based hold on you shatters.

Please note, I’m not advocating that you must lose everything. I’m just explaining what sometimes happens during the process. For instance, if you find yourself facing loss (i.e. divorce, job loss, and bankruptcy) know that this has helped to shatter your ego’s hold over you. The more dramatic the loss, the more rapid the purification process.

As you empty yourself of ego/fear, you create more room to house your soul’s love, light, wisdom, beauty and joy.

The Phoenix Rises

At this point, things may appear bleak and hopeless; but, to quote another old gem, “It’s always darkest before the dawn”. I liken this to sinking into the murky depths. You feel like you will never see the light of day again, and that all is lost. Then, suddenly, your feet touch ground and you are able to push off the bottom giving you the momentum propel you back into the light.

You’re almost through this learning curve, and when you emerge on the other side of the Dark Night, you will rediscover the joy and beauty of the world. You are the phoenix, being purified by fire. Once you have rid yourself of the ego fears, you will be ‘reborn’ or transformed as a freer, happier higher-vibrational version of you.

When our thoughts/brain are not in harmony with our feelings/heart this creates strain and resistance within our own system on a physiological level. This efficient, optimal, and harmonious functioning of the various systems within the body is known as coherence.

The best way to increase global coherence is to increase it on an individual level.

Homeopathy is here to stay. Despite relentless criticism from skeptics and fundamentalists, homeopathy has withstood the test of time. 



Since its inception over 200 years ago, homeopathy has been the target of almost constant antipathy from the prevailing school of orthodox medicine. Given so much organized resistance from the mainstream, one would think that if homeopathy were much ado about nothing it would not have endured.

It would have withered on the vine a long time ago. And yet it has persisted. No, it thrives - all across the globe - for a number of very good reasons.

When a German physician named Samuel Hahnemann discovered that a miniscule dose of a medicinal substance designed to mimic the symptom pattern of a sick person could paradoxically provoke a healing response in that same person, a medical revolution was set in motion.

Dr. Hahnemann referred to this surprising phenomenon as the law of similars. As opposed to the conventional medical approach, which uses opposites to combat symptoms (antidepressants, anti-inflammatories, antihistamines, anticonvulsants, etc.), homeopathy represents a different approach to healing, one that uses "likes to cure likes."

The standard treatment for a bee sting or a case of poison ivy might involve the use of an antihistamine to suppress the inflammatory swelling, redness, and itching.

A homeopathic practitioner, on the other hand, might recommend a highly diluted dose of a medicine made from the honeybee in the former case, and a similar dose of a medicine made from the poison ivy plant in the latter. It's a little bit like the use of anti-venoms to treat snakebites, only the doses used in homeopathy are much smaller.

The homeopathic principle of similars can be used to treat not just physical illness, but also mental and emotional issues. For example, in my own practice I have used homeopathic doses of a plant called Stramonium to successfully help hundreds of children who had suffered from nightmares, were afraid of the dark, and were unwilling to be alone at night.

Ingesting Stramonium in its crude form can induce a type of delirium characterized by severe agitation and a tremendous state of fear. In its homeopathically diluted form, it is the antidote to similar states of fear and agitation. It can be a lifesaver for these kids and their families.

In its heyday in the latter half of the nineteenth century, there were more than 100 homeopathic hospitals in the United States, 22 homeopathic medical schools, 700 homeopathic physicians in New York State, and thousands more across the country.

Homeopathy in the U.S. experienced a decline in the early 1900s, largely due to increased regulatory pressure from orthodox medicine.

The same lack of vision regarding the future of health care is not necessarily true of other countries. Today, there are well over 200,000 homeopathic practitioners in India alone.

Is it possible that so many doctors and patients could be wrong about a medical therapy that they rely upon for their own personal health and well-being? I think not.


Criticism of Homeopathy

In spite of the remarkable growth of homeopathy and the testimony of millions of satisfied patients who swear by its effectiveness, critics insist upon spreading a number of unsubstantiated falsehoods regarding this unique healing modality.

The worst offenders are the ones who call themselves scientific "skeptics." Although they claim to speak for science, their willful refusal to consider the facts exposes them as anti-scientific defenders of scientistic dogma. Their pathological disbelief in all things holistic and unconventional is a violation of the open-minded spirit of genuine scientific inquiry.

Let me be clear; for those who seek to discredit homeopathy purely out of bias there should be no obligation on the part of homeopathy to defend itself. It is a waste of energy to quarrel with a relatively small band of medical fundamentalists who wish to argue their case using disingenuous tactics. The truth of homeopathy stands on its own merit for any open-minded individual to examine for him or herself.

Nevertheless, I will venture to answer skeptic's criticisms for the benefit of innocent bystanders, many of whom are puzzled by the Salem Witch Trial-like atmosphere that surrounds homeopathy. Let's examine these objections to homeopathy one by one and see how they stand up to scrutiny.


Objection 1: The Principle of Similars is Not Logical. It Does Not Make Scientific Sense

Some object to homeopathy on the grounds that treating an illness with a substance that can cause symptoms similar to that illness just doesn't make sense.

They fail to grasp that this is essentially the same idea behind many allopathic therapies including allergy shots and vaccines.

The same principle applies to stimulant drugs used to treat hyperactive children. Amphetamine analogs like Ritalin and Adderall are known to have a paradoxical calming effect on the nervous systems of children with ADHD.

The difference is that while these conventional treatments involve crude and potentially toxic doses that are administered uniformly to all individuals, homeopathy tailors its treatment to each individual with doses that are far smaller and, therefore, far safer.

Skeptics tend to dismiss homeopathy due to its so-called "implausibility." This is a fancy way of saying that, given our current understanding of biology, it is not plausible to assign a cause-and-effect relationship between homeopathic doses and their observed effects.

This is really just a tautological argument - a bogus use of logic - employed by skeptics to deny the validity of a phenomenon that medical science cannot explain in conventional medical terms. In essence, the claim is that, since homeopathy cannot be explained, it therefore cannot be possible.

If we were to adopt this attitude toward all new unexplained medical phenomena, then medicine would remain forever static and impervious to change. The implausibility argument amounts to nothing more than a ridiculous self-fulfilling defense of conventional medical dogma.


Objection 2: Homeopathic Doses Are Too Small to Have Any Effect. They Are Nothing More Than Placebos

Homeopathy-hating skeptics love to mockingly claim that homeopathic medicines are nothing but water. After all, they surmise, if these medicines are diluted to the extent that homeopaths claim, then they must be devoid of all medicinal properties. Any observed effects are assumed, therefore, to be placebo effects.

Now, this might be true if homeopathic medicines were just another class of conventional drugs. Drugs are pharmaceutical grade chemicals that act on a biochemical level to alter or arrest physiologic processes. Although homeopathic remedies are regulated by the FDA as if they are drugs, no homeopath believes that they act in the same manner as conventional drugs.

Unlike drugs, which must often be taken on a regular basis to maintain their suppressive effects, homeopathic remedies act as bioenergetic catalysts designed to provoke a healing response from the life force. Dr. Hahnemann, himself, attributed all genuine healing to the innate wisdom of the "vital force."

Homeopathy is based upon a stimulus-response model of treatment. An effective prescription acts as a stimulus that initiates a self-healing reaction from the bioenergetic field of the human organism. Once a healing response has begun, there is no need to repeat the stimulus unless its effect begins to wear off.

Although analysis reveals the presence of material nanoparticles in homeopathic medicines, their impact on the life force is a bioenergetic one, not a material one. The bioenergetic strength of a remedy is not something that can be measured in quantitative terms.

It is an energetic property that is gauged by the intensity, depth, and duration of effect that it has upon the living organism. As an energetic phenomenon, the mechanism of action of homeopathy is best studied by medical professionals with backgrounds in physics.

Chemical drugs have a reputation for the side effects that they can produce. As chemicals, their sphere of action and the extent to which they can influence biological systems is limited. Homeopathic remedies, on the other hand, can have a powerful and far-reaching energetic effect on the entire system.

Those who insist that homeopathic medicines are placebos because there is "nothing there" make the mistake of applying a biochemical model to a bioenergetic therapy. They simply do not know what they are taking about.


Objection 3. Homeopathy is Not Scientific.

It's not hard to see how someone who thinks that all medicinal agents must act on a biochemical basis, according to the tenets of mechanistic medicine, would automatically assume that homeopathy is unscientific.

But this would be a naïve conclusion based on lack of information. When critics who have already made up their minds hear that homeopathy is really a form of energy medicine, their eyes start to glaze over and they begin to chant that familiar mantra, "woo woo, woo woo."

The great irony is that most diagnostic imaging is energy-based. MRIs, CT scans, ultrasound testing, and thermography all involve energetics. They are made possible thanks to physics. I don't hear critics crying, woo woo, over MRIs and CT scans. Even a treatment like radioactive iodine therapy, used to destroy the thyroid gland in cases of hyperthyroidism, is an energetic intervention.

While radioactive iodine is an example of the destructive use of energy, homeopathy represents the cutting edge of the constructive use of bioenergetics designed to improve health and promote healing. Those who claim that homeopathy is unscientific because it is based upon bioenergetic principles demonstrate their lack of scientific understanding.  

Homeopathic methodology itself is the very definition of scientific method. Medicinal substances are gathered and their capacity to cause symptoms in the human organism is studied. These substances are administered in diluted form to volunteers who are not told what they are receiving.

The symptoms reported by these study subjects are then recorded in great detail. The symptomatic profile of each medicine is developed and documented in reference texts called materia medicas.

Highly diluted doses of these medicines are then given to sick persons who exhibit similar symptom profiles. The responses are noted and used to confirm the symptom profiles of these substances and to expand the database of information regarding their uses.

In this sense, homeopathy is the most empirically reliable medical methodology ever devised. It is based upon direct experience and real time, real life clinical outcomes and patient feedback. Just because the mechanism of action of homeopathy is as of yet undetermined does not mean that it does not qualify as a science.

No scientist in his or her right mind dismisses an unusual phenomenon simply because it cannot be explained. Homeopathy utilizes a sound scientific methodology that can yield remarkable results.



Objection 4. There is No Scientific Evidence to Support Homeopathy

This particular objection to homeopathy is perhaps the most egregious of all. It is simply untrue. By any objective standard, it is a flat out falsehood. There is a growing mountain of research that demonstrates the positive benefits of homeopathy.

Nevertheless, diehard skeptics who show no interest in factual evidence continue to spread lies to the contrary. When you hear the statement that there is no scientific evidence in support of homeopathy, you know you are dealing with someone who is either uninformed, willfully ignorant, a scientific zealot, or a mercenary for PhRMA.

Many who insist that there is no evidence are usually just parroting propaganda that they've heard elsewhere. At best, a skeptic will acknowledge the existence of a particular homeopathic study, only to then nitpick over the supposed flaws in that study.

This is a common tactic employed by fundamentalist devotees of scientism. In any event, the studies are there to examine for all who are genuinely interested. A small sampling of homeopathic research references is provided at the end of this article.

When it comes to medical research, there are some real issues worth discussing. One such issue is the increasing unreliability of scientific studies, which are often funded and conducted by vested interests. When drugs approved by the FDA are taken off the market with such regularity, then the research that justified their approval in the first place must be called into question.  

Another problem is the way in which we define scientific evidence itself. Modern scientists have convinced themselves that experiential evidence is not real evidence. Patient's reports of their own experiences and physician's firsthand observations of the patients that they treat have somehow become second-class forms of evidence.

Skeptics tell us that this type of evidence is merely "anecdotal." We are supposed to believe that direct firsthand experience is inferior to the abstract statistical data produced by modern research trials. A belief like this can only come from armchair quarterbacks who are out of touch with patient reality.

As far as I am concerned, I glean far more practical information from individual patient case studies than from artificially homogenized trials involving large groups of patients.

It appears that the Emperor of Research is wearing no clothes. Society as a whole is dazzled by quantitative data - and seems to have lost its capacity for common sense and sound judgment. We have been bamboozled into believing that our own experiences cannot be trusted.

This, to me, is the true crisis engendered by modern medicine. Its misguided beliefs regarding experiential evidence have had a dehumanizing and disempowering effect on doctors and patients alike.

This issue is particularly important to homeopathy because it is an empirical science. In other words, it places a great deal of emphasis on patient experience. Homeopathic evaluations are heavily influenced by the subjective information provided by patients regarding their own perceptions of their illnesses.

The standards of evidence used by homeopathy are much broader than those of conventional medicine. Homeopathy is more inclusive because, in addition to research findings and objective diagnostic information, it respects the value of subjective patient input.

Conventional medicine places much higher value on objective factors like lab results and imaging tests. It shows little interest in the subjective evidence that is so important to homeopathy. However, none of this mitigates the fact that there are numerous conventionally designed clinical trials that point to the benefits of homeopathy.



Objection 5. Homeopathic Treatment is Dangerous Because it Prevents Patients From Obtaining the "Real" Medical Care That They Need.

This objection is just another red herring. Homeopathic treatment is known for its lack of side effects and unparalleled safety record.

When compared side-by-side, allopathic medicine is far more prone to iatrogenic dangers including allergic reactions, side effects, adverse events, and complications.

Furthermore, the course of illness is not always predictable. Even a well-chosen antibiotic, for example, may not work, during which time the patient's condition can worsen. A doctor may diagnose indigestion in a patient who later turns out to have appendicitis.

These types of events occur all the time. And they can happen to practitioners of all stripes; allopathic, homeopathic, and otherwise. All practitioners have patients who take turns for the worse, and who get sick in spite of their best efforts. To argue that this is unique to homeopaths is ludicrous.

The reverse is also true. I have seen my share of patients who, in my medical opinion, could have avoided the side effects and complications from various drugs or surgical interventions had they chosen to consult me for homeopathic care in the first place.

In fact, homeopathic physicians have an advantage in the sense that they have training in both conventional and homeopathic approaches. As it turns out, "real" medical care is not the exclusive province of orthodox medicine.


Homeopathy is Here to Stay

In spite of relentless opposition, homeopathy has withstood the test of time. It continues to endure deliberate misinformation campaigns designed to undermine its good reputation. Hard core skeptical ideologues hurl epithets like "junk science" and "pseudoscience."

Much of the rhetoric coming from these anti-homeopathy mercenaries amounts to defamation of character. They need to be identified for who they are and held accountable for their libel and slander. These self-proclaimed defenders of science are the most unscientific hucksters of all.

Homeopathic remedies are manufactured by legitimate pharmacies, regulated by the FDA, and in popular demand among consumers. But few U.S. physicians show any interest in learning about how homeopathy can help their patients.

Furthermore, the corporate medical establishment views homeopathy as competition. PhRMA can't own homeopathic medicines exclusively because they cannot be patented.

You can draw your own conclusions about the motivating reasons behind FDA and FTC's recent scrutiny of the marketing of homeopathic products.

Homeopathic medicines are exceptionally safe precisely because the material quantities involved are so minute. As such, the likelihood of an allergic reaction or adverse event is virtually nil. One can quibble over whether homeopathic medicines act as bioenergetic catalysts or whether the life force is a real thing or not.

It doesn't really matter, because the final results are what count. Millions of doctors and patients around the globe can attest to the positive benefits of homeopathic treatment.

As bioenergetic catalysts, homeopathic remedies have broad and all-encompassing effects on human health. Homeopathy is truly holistic because it acts on the whole person. Because homeopathic remedies have such deep effects, they are capable of getting to the root of chronic health problems.

When a homeopathic remedy gets to the root of a problem, the life force ceases to generate symptoms because there is no further need to call attention to the problem.

Homeopathy is safe, inexpensive, and effective. It represents the cutting-edge of Space Age futuristic medicine precisely because it transcends the pitfalls of material medicine. In the immortal words of Bones McCoy, "I'm a doctor, Jim, not a car mechanic!"

The Magic of Money

Money is “created” in a debt-based monetary system. Money only comes into being when credit is established.

You walk into a bank, borrow $250,000 for a new Ferrari, a mark is made on the bank’s ledger, and VOILA! $250,000 exist where it didn’t exist before, simply by virtue of the fact you signed your name on a piece of paper promising to pay back that sum of money.

And now, by the magic of “fractional reserve banking”, the fraudsters can now loan out 10 times that amount to other unsuspecting victims. A thing of real beauty, isn’t it?

Here’s how it all started.

From Goldsmith to Money Maker

Back in the day, goldsmiths were an honest bunch, plying their trade like any other hardworking citizen of the realm. Having the ability to safely store valuables, the goldsmith’s vault was an obvious choice that people naturally gravitated to for storage of their own gold and silver.

It was much easier to hold a receipt than to carry around a ton of weight in gold and silver coin. Made your pants sag. Painted a big target on your forehead for muggers and thieves, too.

Soon, the goldsmith / banker got the bright idea to suggest to the people they could just trade the paper for their everyday purchases rather than make regular trips to the vault. Much more convenient, eh? And there’s still that ever-present highway robbery to think about. (“Muahaha” he chuckles in private, wringing his hands and licking his lips in gleeful anticipation).

For you see, the goldsmith turned banker had realized that by making the receipt payable to the bearer rather than to the individual depositor, it would be readily transferable without the need for a signature. He also realized that very few depositors ever came in at one time to demand their gold or silver.

So he began to think to himself (people hadn’t learned to think to others back then), “Why not take advantage of that little fact”? “Why not loan out more receipts than we have gold to back them and collect the interest on them? No one will be the wiser, nobody gets hurt, we get rich, and the world is indeed a very happy place”!

And thus, Fractional Reserve Banking was born. Or spawned, considering the source. And Jezebel, the bride of Baal, the Queen of Heaven, the Spirit of Babylon, dug her talons deeply into the hide of the world’s finance. And the world is indeed not a very happy place because of it.

How you ask? How do we come out of Babylon? Read this short history of the money changers’ control of nations first, then I’ll give you a couple of clues. As my Mama used to say, if the shoe fits, wear it. If the message isn’t for you, then I praise Yah you’ve begun clawing your way out of the clutches of the pervasive Babylonian system.

Money Changers – A Brief History

Around 50 B.C. Julius Caesar took control of the monetary system of the realm by minting coins to be used in daily commerce. With a plentiful supply of real money, the kingdom prospered, business flourished and everyone benefited. Everyone but the money changers that is, whose livelihood was turned upside down as their control over the nation’s finance was stripped out from under them.

Their power would not lie long dormant however. They set about scheming to retake control, and Caesar was assassinated shortly after. It wasn’t long that corruption returned, taxes increased and the money supply was reduced by 90%, causing businesses to fail, people lost homes and lands, and poverty became the norm. Sound familiar?

As an aside, the U.S. dollar has lost over 96% of its purchasing power since 1913 when the money changers (Federal Reserve) first took control of America’s money system.

30 A.D. Yahshua stormed the Temple with righteous anger, overturning the money changers’ tables and whipping them severely about the head and shoulders to run them out of the Temple, declaring “make not my Father’s house an house of merchandise.” These same money changers called for His death days later.

1000 A.D. The money changers had long ago discovered that control over a fraudulent money supply not only gave them control over the assets of the people, but in a very real way, control over the government of the people.

Here’s how they learned to make money on the backs of the people with the sanction of their own government:

Let’s say the goldsmith pays you, the depositor, 5% interest on gold you have deposited with him. He then charges you 5% interest for the “money”, or the receipts he loans you in return. A wash, right? Well, sort of. Except he now lends out ten times in fraudulent receipts what you have deposited with him.

You earn 5% while he’s earning 50%. ON YOUR GOLD! Did I say earn? Sorry. It’s theft, pure and simple.

They exacted their control by a process of easy money/tight money cycles. By making money easy to borrow, the amount of money in circulation is increased. When the money grubbers, err…changers are satisfied enough suckers have taken the bait, the trap is sprung.

Suddenly money supply is tightened. They make loans difficult or impossible to get which results in a decrease of money in circulation.

The end result was that a percentage of the people would be unable to repay their loans and being unable to make new loans, they went bankrupt, forced to sell their assets to the lenders for pennies on the dollar.

This trick is still being used to suck the financial life blood out of the people of the world to this day.

It’s called by sophisticated words like “boom and bust”, “the business cycle”, “inflation”, “recession”, “depression” and it keeps you and me confused and blind to their dark magic. The language has changed, but the fraud is the same as it always has been. And the world is indeed a much less happy place for it.

1100 A.D. The reign of King Henry I brings a new form of money that stripped the money changers of their unrighteous dominion over people and nations that lasted for over 700 years. He created a currency called a tally stick. It was a stick of polished wood with notches cut along one side, the number of which indicated the denomination of the amount of money represented by the stick.

It was then split lengthwise with each half bearing identical notches. One half went into circulation, the other half was kept by the king. It made counterfeiting impossible.

The system was a huge success, as the King’s taxes were to be paid by tally stick, which increased circulation and assured its acceptance as a legitimate form of money. It also kept the money changers from gaining control of the money supply.

Which didn’t sit well with them for a very long time. And the world was indeed a much happier place. More on the money changers in a future essay, which will deal more specifically with a certain Mr. Amschel Mayer Bauer and his progeny.

Meanwhile, back to the question of How To Come Out Of Babylon. Very simply in the words of our old friend Kaye Large - ADMIT IT AND QUIT IT! You certainly can’t “Come out of Babylon” if you don’t admit you’re in it!

Christmas and Easter are so obviously Babylonian in their historical roots that it astounds me so many Christians continue to celebrate them. Everyone has the internet these days. Do a search for the pagan roots of both of these holidays.

I say this in love, especially to those of my friends who have known me since then. For the sake of yourselves, your children, the God you say you want to please, let His Word speak to you and then do as He says!

And because Christ / Messiah Jesus / Yeshuah was a Threat to that Oppressive / Despotic system; both factions of these over-lapping "special-interest-groups" Conspired to have Jesus / Yeshuah Nailed to the Cross / Stake.



The Pharisees were Direct Participants in this Lawless Conspiracy to Murder this Innocent Man; even tho is seems that it was Roman Soldiers who actually completed the execution.

These same Pharisees base their entire Religious Belief-System upon a body of Laws which is Not from the Ancient Jewish / Israelite Laws, which reach back to the teachings of Moses. Rather these Pharisees look to a body of so-called "Laws" which derive from "Slave-Trading Codes" in Ancient Babylon; and quite probably reaching back to Nimrod himself.

The fact that the religion of the Pharisees has never been recorded as having become extinct, indicates that they and their Slave-Trading practices continue on to exist to this very day. In their own literature, the modern practitioners of "Rabbinical Judaism" Admit (quietly) that they are decedents from those ancient Pharisees.

In their own book entitled "The Jewish Encyclopedia", and "prepared by more than Four Hundred Scholars and Specialists", and published by the "Funk and Wagnalls Company", in 1905, Page 665; the following text is presented:

"With the destruction of the Temple, the Sadducees disappeared all together, leaving the regulation of all Jewish affairs in the hands of the Pharisees. Henceforth, Jewish life was regulated by the teachings of the Pharisees, the whole history of Judaism was re-constructed from the Pharisaic point of view, and a new aspect was given to the Sanhedrin of the past. A new chain of tradition supplanted the older, priestly tradition (Abot i. 1). Pharisaism shaped the character of Judaism and the life and thought of the Jew for all the future."

Here is shown clearly that the ancient Pharisees are still alive and well writing textbooks for Funk and Wagnals in 1905, and disseminating such beliefs among their followers.

The ancient counterparts of these modern Pharisees had schools in Babylon from a very early pre-Christian date. We may read concerning these matters from a scholarly work entitled "The Babylonian Talmud", by Sedner Nezikin, London; The Soncino Press, 1935.

In the Foreword to this book is an introductory few pages by (The Very Rev. The Chief Rabbi) J.H. Hertz. Herein he speaks on pages 13, 14, 15 to say:

"The beginnings of Talmudic literature date back to the time of the Babylonian Exile in the sixth pre-Christian century . . . When a thousand years later, the Babylonian Talmud assumed final codified form in the year 500 of the Christian era, the Western Roman Empire had ceased to be. . . When we come to the Babylonian Gerama, we are dealing with what most people understand when they speak or write of the Talmud. It's birthplace, Babylonia, was a autonomous Jewish center for a longer period than any other land, namely, soon after 586 before the Christian era to the year 1040 after the Christian era - 1,626 years . . . " "For a long time it was held that the language in which the Babylonian Talmud was written defied grammatical formulation. This is now seen to be nothing but prejudice. . ." "The style of the Babylonian Talmud is one of most pregnant brevity and succinctness. It is at no time "easy reading". Elliptical expression is a constantly reoccurring feature, and whole sentences are often indicated by as single word. In discussions, question and answer are closely interwoven, and there is an entire absence of demarcation between them. "Hard thinking and closest attention are required under the personal guidance of an experienced scholar, or of an elaborate written exposition of the argument, for the discussion to be followed or to be understood. And that understanding cannot be gained by the aid of Grammar or Lexicon alone. Even a student who has fair knowledge of Hebrew and Aramaic, but who has not been initiated into the Talmud by Traditional Jewish guides, will find it impossible to decipher a page!"

Here we have plain admissions from this J.H. Hertz (Chief Rabbi) wherein he reveals that the source of the material which is Codified within their "Talmud" is from "Babylon". Other sources affirm this also.

This "Babylonian Talmud" is that root-source-repository of so-called "Law" from which the modern Talmud draws its historical roots. J.H. Hertz (Chief Rabbi) and others of the same belief are all quite comfortable referring to it amongst themselves as the "Babylonian Talmud".



But as the ancient city of Babylon is clearly related to terms such as "Babble" aka: "Confusion", and as ancient Biblical texts indicate plainly that this is the source for all of the language confusion and much other problems which has spread throughout the entire world, it is understandable that these ones do seek to downplay the fact that "Babylon" is the spiritual source/center for Their body of "Spiritual-Law Codifications".

We here-in merely seek clear labels of what is going on with regard to this body of codifications which seemingly so significantly affect our modern sociological structures. We have a Right to ask these questions.

Everyone is affected by these concerns. And it seems clear that many who modernly claim to be "Jews" are following this set of Spiritual Codifications which have originated in ancient Babylon, and which thereunder are properly known and referable to as the "Babylonian Talmud".

We find similarly enlightening source material in a profoundly insightful work from a gentleman named Guy Carlton, Lee; of Johns Hopkins University in his work: "Historical Jurisprudence", 1922; Pages 12, 17, 18, 38-40, 188-189:

"The law of Babylonia has had an immense effect upon that of nearly all the countries of Europe . . . The literature of Babylon has perished; but the element of culture which has endured was greater than the literature. That element is law, an organized intelligible system of rights and duties enforced by the State. . . The great work of the nation was the production of a system of law, necessary to the extended commercial activity of the city . . . The complex Babylonian civilization, which produced a commercial law in advance of any other ancient system . . . was . . . the product of . . . its relations to the other countries of the world. The exercise of judicial functions, at least in matters of commercial law, seems to have been in the hands of the hierarchy. The reasons for this may have been in part those which, in the mediaeval period of European history, threw the control of legal procedure largely into the hands of the ecclesiastics. In Babylon, the custom of documentary evidence in almost all transactions . . . and the wide extent to which written contracts were employed, made the notarial and judicial functions of the priests very extensive. But the part taken in business transactions by the priesthood was appropriate for another reason, which perhaps had more influence in the time of the early law, before the purely commercial side had been developed. This was the part which was connected with contractual oaths, which at first were numerous. The contracting parties were obliged in their contracts to swear by the principal god of the country, and by the reigning prince, that they would abide by the conditions of the contract . . ." The Babylonian Law developed to the fullest extent the idea of a Contract. Almost any possible business transaction was reduced to the form of a contract and was executed with the same formalities - i.e., with witnesses, notary, and signature. Thus the points as to deeds, sales, mortgages, loans, and banking are in no respect different in form from the matter of hiring, rent and leases, partnership, testaments, and domestic relations, including adoption. Transactions so very different could be reduced to the same principle, or brought under the one head, only by a highly abstract conception of contract itself. From forms of contract . . . we pass to the relations of master and servant, leases, and future delivery of goods. Sub-section A. Master and Servant. . . a man might well make a contract with another whom he hired for a year, or whom he contracted to serve for a year. . . example . . . In connection with this contract, it should be noted that Ubarru was regarded as a free agent, hiring himself out. But since he enters into a relation to his master in which he is temporarily in the condition of a slave, he has a representative, or guardian . . . . . . In the case of a slave the name of the slave's father is never given. The slave is not regarded or spoken of as a man, but as a thing, and is reckoned in the same way as cattle. The actual point of this contract is the transfer of the right to a man's services. Such a transaction is but a part of the whole Babylonian system, whereby every credit or right was passed from one to another by means of contracts. . . The law was very strict as to the beginning and termination of these contracts. . . If the servant did not appear, he could be arrested and brought to his master, as he was his master's man. ... This species of . . . slavery was of great importance and very customary in Old Babylon. Babylon('s) . . . commercial customs . . . became . . . the commercial law of the whole known world. Of . . . these Rome was . . . possessed from the earliest period . . . "

Here-under, we see a number of significant items for our study. But at this point it seems best to re-visit Chapters 17 and 18 of the Book of Revelation in the Bible. Here in is Revealed that a particular Body of People are recognizable as a "Great Prostitute" who "Rules over the Kings of the Earth" through the use of "Deception", "Magic", and "Merchants". This "Great Prostitute" who uses Deceptive Magic is clearly labeled therein as "BABYLON".

The above work from Johns Hopkins University by Mr Lee clearly recognizes that Babylon's Religious Priesthood is commonly recognizable as the source of all of the modern so called "Laws of Commerce".

These "Laws of Commerce" are shown to be a specific body of Codes which authorize the Administration of the Compelling Force of the State in the En-Force-ment of Contracts, mostly for Payments of Debts.

The ancient Babylonian Priests were involved because Contracts were deemed to be a form of "Oath" entered into by the contracting parties; and the approval of their Gods were invoked so as to more effectively legitimize / bamboozle the entire process in the minds and the consciences of the contracting parties and all public witnesses.

These Babylonian Religious Codes recognized the ability to buy and sell contracts between merchants in "Commerce". They sold and "bought . . . slaves and the souls of men" in the time of Christ, and before and after, just precisely as is recognized in Revelation 18: 11-13.



Under this system of Babylonian Codes, contracted-debtor-people were Forcibly Compelled to perform the contract regardless of Conscionability, or who was the original contract-creditor. This Babylonian Religious Commercial-Code depended in large part on a deeper set of Slave-Trading Codes. And these all are still recognizable and very frequently enforced under what modern legal text-books refer to as: "Master-Servant Relationships".

Under the ancient Babylonian Religious Codes, "Slavery" is clearly facilitated. People were not recognized as People there-under, but were items in Commerce.

The Slave could be arrested and assaulted by government officers for not showing up for work on time. The text-book says that "The slave is not regarded or spoken of as a man, but as a thing, and is reckoned in the same way as cattle".



Not too long ago, in American History, "Slavery" was a very Common Practice, both against the Black Race, and also against all other races, including Orientals and the economically disenfranchised Caucasian / White Race. The Problem of "Oppression" is Not a Race Problem, it is a Economic-Class and Religious Problem.

In the above quoted text, and with reference to these ancient Babylonian-based "Slave-Trading" Codes; Mr Lee goes on to make it clear they were passed down to the Roman Slave-Traders in his statement "Of . . . these Rome was . . . possessed from the earliest period . . . ".

History seems to tell that many Israelites had been Captured into Slavery in Babylon. Yet by the time of Jesus / Yeshuah, many had returned. During that Captivity; many of the Babylonian Commercial / Slave-Trader / Merchant Codes seemed to have Infected Israelite-Society. It does not take a lot of intelligence to suppose that this worked to Under-Mine the Godly Principles of the more ancient Israelite Torah-Laws.



Yet the "Pharisees" Openly Embraced this Babylonian System of Slave-Trading Codes. Christ / Messiah Jesus / Yeshuah and his followers were Crucified for speaking-out boldly against these Evils of the Romans and their False-Israelite Pharisee Puppet-drones. As revealed above, the Romans were already followers of those same Babylonian Slave-Trading Codes.

This indicates that the Connection between the Roman Slave-Traders and the Pharisees was more than a mere coincidence. This indicates that at some point in the even more ancient history; the Roman Slave-Traders and the Pharisee of Israel; were of Common Cultural Ancestry.

As the name signifies, the "Babylonian Talmud" contains much of the Commercial Slave-Trading Mercantile Codifications of "Master-Servant Relationships" which originated in Babylon.

Those of the "Pharisee" (Rabbinical-Judaism) belief-system, refer in their "Babylonian Talmud" to those who are Not of their culture; as "Goim" or "Gois".

These words translate to mean "Human Cattle".

This is precisely how historical textbooks indicate that the ancient Babylonians referred to their Slaves. As Mr Lee stated in his above quoted text, "The slave is . . . reckoned in the same way as cattle".

Though the "Babylonian Talmud" seems to contain few direct citations to Slavery itself, it does set forth a significant amount of evidence showing that Non-Pharisees "Goim" are to be treated with all of the contempt of "Slaves". Citations from the "Babylonian Talmud" read:

"All things pertaining to the Goim are like desert, the first person to come along and take them can claim them for his own." Babha Bathra 45. "It is permitted to deceive a goi." Babha Kama 113b.

And though citations are not clear that this is directly from the Talmud, other Pharisaical Literature states:

"The Life of a Goi and all his physical powers belong to a Jew." A. Rohl. Die Polem. P.20

And articles published by Henry Ford's newspaper, the Dearborn Independent in 1920 - 1922 discuss the "Kol Nidre" as a Pharisaical:

"Prayer, named from its opening words, "All vows"," (kol nidre). It is based on the declaration of the Talmud: "He who wishes that his vows and oaths shall have no value, stand up at the beginning of the year and say: 'All vows which I shall make during the year shall be of no value.'""

The list goes on and on. The Historical Documentation is Massive of the Malicious Plunder-Oriented Slave-Trading Behavior of these people. Coke and others have defined them as "Infidels", precisely Because History has clearly Shown that the Sworn "Oath" of those ones Means Nothing to them.

They cannot be "Bound" by "Conscience", and they habitually "Lie" at every turn which may serve their own self-serving interests or those of their "Synagogue of Satan", as referred to by Christ Jesus at Revelation 2:9 and 3:9. This is the nature of their "Law", They Believe they have a God-Given Right to be "Slave-Masters".

They can-not be expected to be bound to tell the Truth. They feel that they are En-Titled by the Authority of their Evil God to Lie to others, so-as-to Control Them and there-by to reduce them to their unsuspecting Slaves.

Such "Infidels" were Expelled from almost every country in Europe between the 13th and 15th centuries for this precise Reason. Their tenacious adherence to this Dis-Honest Babylonian Master-Slave system of Human Conduct Codes, and their relentless Lying and Deception was the Direct Cause of their Ostracism from All of these European Nations.

The Sadducees apparently gave the Pharisees opposition against this corrupting influence, but their days were numbered, for after the destruction of the Temple by Rome in 70 AD, the religious belief system of the Sadducees had apparently met genocide and extinction.



The Pharisees (on the other hand) were conspicuously left in the position of authority over all Jews who did not profess Christianity. The ancient Religion of the Pharisees has been in Continuous Total Control of what is fashionably recognized as the "Jewish Religion", ever since the destruction of Solomon's Temple. Again quoted, but more focused and brief than above, it reads:

"With the destruction of there Temple . . . Henceforth, Jewish life was regulated by the teachings of the Pharisees . . . Pharisaism shaped the character of Judaism and the life and thought of the Jew for all the future." The Jewish Encyclopedia: (1905; Page 665)

With the extinction of the Sadducees, the only Jewish entity which thereafter stood in opposition to the Pharisees and their Babylonian Codified Talmud were the Christians. The powers in Rome itself were Compromised by this influence. As revealed else-where here-in, the Religion of the Pharisees continues to this day under their self-proclaimed banner of "Judaism" or "Jews".

These people are Not True "Jews". Nor are they Racial "Semites", or "Israelites", or even "Zionists". Rather they are of the "Synagogue of Satan", and they merely "Say they are Jews"; all precisely as Jesus/Yeshuah is declared to have clearly started in Revelation 2:9 and 3:9.

These modern Pharisees merely proclaim they are "Jews"out of a Strategy to effect their Ancient Plunder-Oriented Slave-Trading purpose. Approximately 85% of them are not even of the "Semitic" bloodline, but rather are of the Ashkenazi / Khazar Race / Bloodline.

They seem to have adopted the Pharisaical-Babylonian Talmudian Religion in about the year 740 or so, out of convenience. I am inclined to believe they are "Canaanites", in large part from the very obviously similar phonetics of their names. I also tend to believe this proposition because of the historically documented Evils of the Canaanite peoples. "Civil-Law" and "Municipal-Law" and Their History

Textbooks show plainly that Rome is the source of English and American "Civil Law". Civil Law is recognized in Black's Law Dictionary as synonymous with "Municipal Law"; as follows:

Civil Law: That body of law which every particular nation, commonwealth, or city has established peculiarly for itself; more properly called "municipal" law, to distinguish it from the "law of nature", and from international law. Laws concerned with civil or private rights and remedies, as contrasted with criminal laws.

"Many factors contributed to (Rome's) success; but more important than her military powers, were the political methods where by she contrived to . . . conquer. . . In 381, after overcoming the . . . town of Tusculm, she . . . admitted it to terms . . . (under which it was) compelled to pay the war-tax, and . . . a town thus treated was known as a muni-cipum or "burden-holder".

Many of the peoples conquered by Rome were reduced to Slaves. No reputable historian contests this fact. Webster's New International Dictionary (1950, 2nd Edition) links the above term "Municipum" to our modern term "Municipal"; as follows:

Municipal: . . . munia official duties + root capere to take. . . . Rom. Hist. Of or pertaining to, or of the nature of, a municipum.

It further goes on to make the following most note-worthy statement:

Municipal District: A subdivision of a region inhabited chiefly by non-Christians.

The Roman merchants engaged in much Slave Trade. The establishment of "Slave-Markets" was one of their top priorities. Contracts Exchanged hands among Merchants for the Delivery of Slaves. The Codes which Governed these Contracts for Slaves was based on the Same Codes which the Babylonians had developed.

"Of . . . these Rome was . . . possessed from the earliest period . . . ". ("Historical Jurisprudence" - Lee, above).

Such Babylonian Master/Slave so-called "Law" is modernly still recognizable under either term of "Civil" or "Municipal" Law. [Rome is the Seven-Headed "Beast" described in Revelation.

The "Great Prostitute" there-in described as sitting on or controlling the "Seven-Headed Beast" of the Roman Empire which has gathered within itself all the power and evil of the previous three Gentile world powers, is the Roman Catholic church.]

This Beast was in existence at that time of Christ as the Civil / Military Government of Rome. . .


The Norman Conquest of England in 1066-AD

The Norman Conquest over the Anglo-Saxon / Celtic People of England in 1066 is vastly under-rated in its significance for understanding modern models of good government.

From Rome, the "Norman Invasion" had the "Solemn Blessings of the Pope". This is shown in many citations, among which is the following:

"William had some difficulty in securing the help of his barons for his proposed invasion of England; it was necessary to convince them individually by threats and persuasions. Otherwise conditions were favorable. William secured the benevolent neutrality of the emperor Henry IV., and the expedition had the solemn approval of Pope Alexander II." Encyclopedia Britannica, Vol # 23, p.609; William 1: . . . Conquest of England . . .

The Pharisaical system of "Commercial Law", as codified in the "Babylonian Talmud"; was at that time Forcibly Imposed by the Romanistic-Normans over the previously Non-Romanized Christian / Common-Law Saxon-Anglo / English People.

"The Jews, whom the Normans brought to England . . . [or who financed and followed the invasion - Ed.] brought a refined system of commercial law: their own form of commerce and a system of rules to facilitate and govern it. . . Several elements of historical Jewish legal practice have been integrated into the English legal system. "The Shetar's Effect on English Law", The Georgetown Law Journal; V. 71, P 1179 - 1200); Judith A. Shapiro. Here-under; the Pharisees worked with the Normans under the "Blessing of the Pope" of Rome. Here-under, Roman Civil/Municipal Codes were Forcibly Imposed over the Non-Romanized Christian/Common-Law People of England. As this Pharisee/Roman-Catholic Military Machine was Forcibly-Imposed, the above text makes clear (seemingly happily) that a "Weapon of Socio-Economic Change that Tore the Fabric" of the Society of the Anglo-Saxon/Celtic Peoples. These ruthlessly shocking words are not composed by this author; but they are the words chosen by Ms Shapirro as they appear in her Georgetown Law Journal article. It seems that the aggressively warring nature of that Babylonian-Talmudian based Code of Pharisaical Conduct is not in question among that circle of scholars. It seems to clearly be a body of Master's Slave-Trading Codes, which are designed to "Tear at the Fabric" of any Society which it targets. [The invading Jews established the Exchequer - Ed.].

The "Shetar" is a corruption of the word "Star", and it refers to the infamously abusive "Star Chamber Courts". This is shown in the following citations:

"The name star chamber . . . has been thought to be . . . because the roof was originally studded with stars, because the Jewish covenants (called starrs or stars . . . ) were originally kept there." Bovier's Law Dictionary; 1860. "Starr or starra. The old term for contract or obligation among the Jews, being a corruption from the Hebrew word "shetar", a covenant, . . . and Blackstone conjectures that the room in which the chests were kept was thence called the "Star-Chamber"." "Star Chamber: A court which originally had jurisdiction in cases where the ordinary course of justice was so much obstructed by one party, . . . that no inferior court would find its process obeyed. . . In the reign of Henry the 8th, and his successors, the jurisdiction of the court was illegally extended to such a degree (especially in punishing the kings arbitrary proclamations) that it became odious to the nation, and was abolished." Blacks Law Dictionary, 5th Edition

These courts of Pharisaical Commercial Master/Slave Codes became so heinous for their "Secret Proceedings" and for their infliction of "Cruel and Unusual Punishments", that they were abolished. They are the essence of our modern Anglo/American so-called "Equity" Jurisdiction.

It was all run by "Chancery Priests", and they were referred to deceptively as "Courts of Equity". The only thing "Equal" about them, is that all Conquered "Slaves" there-under were treated as "Equal-Slaves".

"Civil Law" is from Rome. There was no "Equity Jurisprudence" in England prior to the Norman Conquest.

The Norman Conquest had the "solemn approval of the Pope" of Rome according to the above-quoted Encyclopedia Britannica, and many other sources.



The battle of Hastings

The obvious Conclusion is that the Norman's "War of Aggression" was jointly backed by the Pharisees and the Pope of Rome, all so as to Forcibly Impose the Roman Civil/Municipal Codes of Babylonian-Talmudian based Master / Slave relations. These were mere Tools for Slave Control which were early Imposed by Evil Men with great influence with-in the Pharisaical and Roman-Catholic religious communities.

All Conscience-Bound People will Recognize that No True Spirituality could Possibly have been brought in-to England at that time. The "Forces of Evil" Were In "Full Control" during the so-called "Norman Conquest". Just like at the Crusades; and at the Inquisition. The religious forces consistently behind these movements have a very consistently-evil track-record.



Evil men Aggressively made Religious War against the Christian / Common-Law - Anglo-Saxon / Celtic Peoples of England in 1066. The "Babylonian-Talmud" was completed well before the Norman Conquest of 1066. It's all the same basic Master / Slave Commerce form of Code of Human Conduct.

It all treats living / breathing People as "Merchandise" in Commerce to be bought and sold as those "Slaves and the Souls of Men" as referred to in Revelation 18:13.

This entire body of Codified Human-Conduct is all so amorally lacking in fidelity to the Supreme Laws of "Love of Neighbor" from YHVH, as taught by His Son Yeshuah; as to be clearly a policy of the "Synagogue of Satan" as referred to at Revelation 2:9 and 3:9.

It is easy to summarize that this is that precise same Code of Human Conduct of which the Pharisee "Money-Changers" were using to corrupt the Temple in Jerusalem, and of which Christ / Messiah Jesus / Yeshuah over-turned their tables and drove them out of His Father's House with the whip.

It is easy to summarize that this is the Code of Conduct upon which the Pharisees moved to whipp-up the mob into such a fervent state of Anarchy as to abort "Due Process of Law" and to have Yeshua the Christ/Mesiah Lawlessly Nailed to the Cross / Stake.


Modern Applications of Ancient Babylonian Slave-Trading Codes:

This Code of Conduct embodied within the "Babylonian Talmud" is very large, but it contains specific portions which are designed to "Tear at the Fabric" of the society which is its target. These are the words of Ms Shapirro, as set forth in the Georgetown Law Journal. This is not the wording of "Anti-Semitic Right Wing Extremists". Ms Shapiro's term "Tear" is specifically used to denote that process which obliterated the "Fabric of . . . Society", as it had existed prior to that War of Aggression.

It would seem Reasonable to conclude that this is a "Code of Human Conduct" based on "Terrorism". Certainly the word "Tear" seems related to "Terrorism". Certainly the Anglo-Saxon / Celtic Christian People were greatly Fear Inspired by the forcible imposition of this "Babylonian Talmud" based Code of Human Conduct.

The wording of Ms Shapirro Reasonably seems to be an acknowledgment that "Terrorism" was used by the Normans and the Pharisees "who call themselves Jews" as a "matter of Policy" under that Code of Human Conduct; all known as the "Babylonian Talmud".

This entire body of Roman "Civil-Law" is Designed to Centralize the "Decision-Making Authority" of the Entire Community in-to the Hands of a "Single Arbitrator".

This is How All "Contracts" were En-Forced in the "Court of Equity". It was early incorporated into what was known as English "Law Merchant", which many fine scholars have confused as being a true part of the English "Common-Law". Such happened only after the corrupting influence of the "Norman Conquest".

Contracts are only enforceable in Courts of so-called "Equity".

"Equity" jurisdiction was allowed to enter into American Jurisprudence by way of Article 3 Section 2-1 of the so-called "U.S. Constitution". Such was a slap in the face of Christ / Messiah Jesus / Yeshuah, and much Evil has worked its purpose in this land by way of that compromise of Godly Principles.

Tests conducted by the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) found that most air fresheners contain phthalates, which among other things interfere with male hormone production.

Instead of toxic commercial air fresheners, stick with all-natural essential oils, which can be applied to the skin or released into the air from a diffuser.


2. Candles. Similar to commercial air fresheners, many scented candles are also toxic. A study pioneered by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) found that nearly half of all scented candles on the market contain lead wiring in their wicks, which is released into the air upon burning. Wales describes himself as a communitarian (someone who could be said to be "radical center", meaning they agree with the left on issues relating to the economy, such as the need for environmental protection and public education, but not on cultural issues, but instead generally agree with the right or conservatives on cultural issues, such as support for character education and faith-based programs). The revisions have since been deleted by liberal Wikipedia administrators wishing to protect Jimmy's public image. Editors trying to make this point in Wikipedia are routinely profiled, stalked, harassed, slandered, and banned. An irony of internet history is that Jimmy Wales, despite being an atheist, refers to himself as Wikipedia's "spiritual leader."

Hillary's Wikipedia article consistently comes up near the top in a Google search for her name and earns hundreds of thousands of views each month. The New York Times may grow scandal-weary, but Hillary's Wikipedia watchdog remains steadfast in protecting her highly influential profile. Once again, therein lies the whole problem with Wikipedia. It is granted huge search engine credibility by Google, yet on many topics it is run by what can only be characterized as an "edit mafia" with a very definite conflict of interest. All the pages on GMOs, vaccines and pharmaceuticals, for example, are run almost exclusively by "volunteers" who actually have financial links to pharmaceutical companies and biotech firms. Jimmy Wales doesn't have a problem with Wikipedia functioning as a slander engine as long as it doesn't slander HIM or his political and corporate friends. And that is precisely what makes Wikipedia utterly non-credible on such topics.

What does psychiatry have in common with the US Congress? "Institutional corruption," concludes Psychiatry Under the Influence (Palgrave Macmillan, 2015), which investigates how drug company money and psychiatry's own guild interests have corrupted psychiatry during the past 35 years.

Whitaker and Cosgrove - as does Lessig - distinguish between "individual" versus "institutional" corruption, between a "bad apple" versus a "bad barrel." In individual corruption, a politician takes an illegal bribe. But in institutional corruption, nothing illegal may be occurring when, for example, politicians raise campaign money via special interest political action committees (PACS).

And just as elected officials develop dependency on special interests and become beholden to these funders instead of the citizenry, Whitaker and Cosgrove conclude, the same thing has occurred in psychiatry, which has had its social mission subverted by drug companies as well as by the psychiatry guild's self-preservation and expansionism needs.

Both authors responded to questions that I had about their recently published book.

Bruce Levine: The corruption of psychiatry by pharmaceutical companies has been widely known since the 2008 Congressional investigation of psychiatry, reported by the mainstream media including The New York Times; and this corruption has been bemoaned by major figures in medicine such as Marcia Angell, former editor-in-chief of The New England Journal of Medicine.

But what you are saying is that there is a second corrupting "economy of influence" that is not as well recognized by the public but which is even more problematic. Can you speak about that?

Robert Whitaker: There has indeed been much public attention on the corrupting influence of pharmaceutical money on American psychiatry. But the public's focus on pharmaceutical companies as the main problem distracts attention from the larger corrupting influence, and that is psychiatry's own guild interests.

In 1980, when the APA [American Psychiatric Association] published the third edition of its Diagnostic and Statistical Manual [DSM III], it adopted a "medical model" for diagnosing and treating mental disorders.



The APA then launched a public relations effort to sell this new model to the public, which meant informing the public that psychiatric disorders are real "diseases" of the brain; that they are under-recognized and undertreated; and that psychiatric drugs are very effective - and disease-specific-treatments - for these disorders. The APA has relentlessly promoted that message to the public for 35 years.

This is a narrative that has served the psychiatry guild's interests well. Pharma money flowed to the APA and to academic psychiatrists and their medical schools; psychiatry's influence in society dramatically increased; and psychiatry was able to present itself, to the public and to itself, as a medical specialty that treated diseases of the brain. Money, power, a boost in psychiatry's public image - that is a powerful mix of rewards from a narrative.

The problem is that mainstream psychiatric research was not showing it to be true. Research failed to validate the disorders in psychiatry's DSM; the chemical imbalance hypothesis fell apart long ago; and clinical studies of the drugs, including studies funded by the NIMH [National Institute of Mental Health], have shown that their short-term efficacy is of a very modest sort and that they may do more harm than good over the long-term.

But the APA and academic psychiatry haven't told the public that story of science, and that is because it runs counter to their guild interests. And, of course, the public relies on the medical specialty - as opposed to pharmaceutical companies - to be a reliable provider of information, which is why this corruption due to guild interests is so problematic.

Lisa Cosgrove: I would add to what Bob said that there was a clear scientific impulse to the APA's creation of DSM III. As we wrote in our book, the APA set out to redo its diagnostic manual in order to address issues of reliability. Spitzer, the chair of the DSM III task force, did have the public's interest at heart. He wanted to have a more scientific, empirically based taxonomy.It also should be noted, as part of this discussion, that no medical specialty or professional organization is immune to guild interests.

Psychiatry Under the Influence attempts to understand psychiatry's denial and refusal to accept blame for its failures. So, for example, Ronald Pies, editor-in-chief of Psychiatric Times, refuses to blame psychiatry for the dissemination of the disproven chemical imbalance theory of mental illness (which fueled the dramatic rise of antidepressant use).

Pies claims that the chemical imbalance theory "was always a kind of urban legend - never seriously propounded by well-informed psychiatrists," and he blames Americans' widespread belief in it on drug companies. You attribute much of psychiatry's denial and evasion of responsibility to "cognitive dissonance theory" - can you speak about this?

Robert Whitaker: Again, this is part of the "institutional corruption" lens we were using to study the institution of psychiatry and its behavior. The assumption is that individuals within the institution can't see that their behavior has been corrupted by "economies of influence."

And so, when those outside the institution begin pointing out the corruption in it, those within it may construct a narrative that protects their self-image. In this case, psychiatrists need to protect their image as honest researchers and as physicians who put the interests of their patients first. Cognitive dissonance theory reveals that there are a myriad of ways that people protect themselves in this manner.

We can see that cognitive dissonance quite clearly in Ronald Pies' claim that the "chemical imbalance" theory was always a kind of urban legend. The fact that psychiatrists, for a long period of time, regularly told patients that the drugs fix chemical imbalances in the brain represented a fundamental betrayal of those patients.

So once the chemical imbalance story fell apart publicly, what does Pies do? Does he admit, even in his own mind, that psychiatrists told this false story to patients for decades? No, he says well-informed psychiatrists never said it and places the blame on the pharmaceutical companies for telling that false story.

Pies makes this argument even though it is easy to document that the leaders of the APA often told this chemical imbalance story to the public, and that, even today, many prominent psychiatrists serve on advisory boards of patient advocacy groups that continue to tell it to the public.

Lisa Cosgrove: One of my favorite quotes is by Carol Tavris: "Mistakes were made, but not by me." None of us are immune to cognitive dissonance. It is part of the human condition to have implicit biases and remain blissfully ignorant of them.

You talk about the "social injury" caused by psychiatry's institutional corruption, and I sense that you both are especially troubled by the injury incurred by young people, especially foster kids. Can you elaborate?

Robert Whitaker: This is one of the reasons that the institutional corruption framework can prove so useful. It requires an examination of the social injury resulting from the corruption, and when you do that in this case, you see how vast it is. We, as a society, have organized ourselves - both individually and as a society - around a false narrative of science. And what has been the resulting social injury?

It has led to the pathologizing of millions of children, which is doing extraordinary harm; it has given us an impoverished philosophy of being, with its ever-narrowing boundaries of what is deemed normal; and it prevents us, as a society, from trying to create a more just society, since problems are located within the brain of the individual, rather than in poverty, poor schools and so forth. Society gets a free ride with this model.

The injury done to children in foster care illuminates, with great clarity, this larger societal injury. ... The children may be neglected, abused and so forth - they in essence drew a short straw in the lottery of life. But what do we do in the post DSM III era? We don't ask what happened to these children and try to create nurturing environments for them. Instead, we regularly diagnose them with a psychiatric disorder and medicate them.

Of course the drugs - and this is particularly true of the antipsychotics - make it more difficult for the child to think and to experience emotion.

And thus the social injury from this corruption: We as a society think we are providing medication to fix a disease the child has, while the child is now burdened with the stigma of a diagnosis and the burden of the medications.

Lisa Cosgrove: In order to fully address this social injury in marginalized populations, such as foster care children, we also need to understand that the way our health-care system is structured deincentivizes prescribing providers from taking a more contextual approach. If you talk to clinicians on the ground, that is what they want to do, but they are incentivized to prescribe.

You describe institutional corruption as a problem of "good people" doing "bad things" because of a corrupted environment. I personally know a young politician who genuinely sought to do public good but quickly grasped the reality that candidates with the most money win elections, and he was compelled to either focus on raising money or not run at all.

Is psychiatry really in that same situation? Psychiatry is not facing a big-spending opponent, and it has had every opportunity as the "incumbent" to gain public confidence by simply being honest and effective. And individual psychiatrists can reject drug company incentives and still make a good living, at least compared to most Americans - and some dissident psychiatrists do reject those incentives. Are you being too easy on psychiatry?

Robert Whitaker: Perhaps, but that too is part of the of the institutional corruption framework: Any path to reform must start with a generosity of spirit, which avoids condemnation of individuals - regardless of whether some individuals within the institution deserve such condemnation - and instead focuses on how "economies of influence" have created an environment where "corrupt" behavior has become normalized and unrecognized.

The point is that the framework seeks "understanding" rather than "condemnation," with the thought that such understanding will have two effects. First, in the absence of condemnation, leaders in the institution may be better able to see how the economies of influence have corrupted their behavior. Second, it will focus public attention on how to neutralize the economies of influence as a solution to the corruption, as opposed to stirring public anger toward individuals within the institution.

Lisa Cosgrove: I think this question points to a problem with the societal discussion we have been having. To me, this question of whether we were too easy on psychiatry is close to asking, are you "anti-psychiatry" or "pro-psychiatry?" And I think when we pose questions or answers as dichotomies, we undermine the potential for solutions.

I am not anti-psychiatry; I am not pro-psychiatry. I hope that our book provides data that enables people to think critically about these issues. In my work as a researcher, I try to do empirical work that fosters such critical thinking, and helps people make more informed decisions about their mental health issues.

In your subsection on "Psychiatry's Self-Image," you had quotes from the 12 past American Psychiatric Association presidents who address psychiatry's low professional self-esteem, upset that psychiatrists are not seen as real doctors and suffer demeaning jokes in medical school - and exalting APA members to "change the way the world thinks of psychiatry and the way we think of ourselves as psychiatrists" (Jeffrey Lieberman, APA president through 2014). In addition to trying to pump up psychiatrists' self-esteem, a major role of the APA president is apparently to attack psychiatry's critics - as Lieberman recently called you, Bob, "a menace to society." Is there any hope of reforming American psychiatry?

Robert Whitaker: This is the bottom-line question, and unfortunately, when you apply this institutional framework to psychiatry, the answer becomes clear: American psychiatry, as an institution, is not going to reform itself. The guild influence is too strong; so too the cognitive dissonance.

Lieberman is an example of this: He called me a "menace to society," but what had I done? I had written and spoken about research that reported better long-term outcomes for unmedicated psychiatric patients, compared to those taking medication. But Lieberman can't acknowledge that this could be the case, and so he needs to kill the messenger to protect his profession and to protect his own beliefs.

That is precisely why psychiatry can't be expected to reform itself. The field, as a whole, is too invested in a narrative born of guild interests, and it has shown little sign of the introspection, as an institution, that could lead it to seriously reform its ways.

So what is a possible solution? It must come from an informed public that will see the need to strip psychiatry of its authority over this domain of our lives and instead demand that the authority be vested in a multidisciplinary group of professionals, philosophers and "users" of psychiatric care.

Psychiatry could be a part of this multidisciplinary group, but not the ruler of it. But can this really happen? I am rather pessimistic, and yet, at the same time, the public is increasingly becoming aware that our society has organized itself around a false narrative and that this is doing great harm, and so perhaps this will lead to society putting its trust in a more diverse, multidisciplinary group. I hope so, because this is a case of institutional corruption that is doing great harm to our society.

Lisa Cosgrove: What we were trying to highlight in our book is the harm that can be done when norms and incentive structures develop that undermine reflexivity and critical thinking. Although it is easy to vilify a few people, to effect real change, members of that organization will need to be willing to address the ways in which their guild interests took precedence over their public health mission.

In addition, the framework of institutional corruptions gives us tools to identify solutions and to think big. If we want to effect change, we need to change our current health-care system. We have a society that thinks there is a pill for every ill and a system that incentivizes the prescribing of pills. So there needs to be a paradigm shift, as well as public policy initiatives, that will foster an appreciation of the socio-political grounding of emotional distress.

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the hunger-ending organizations RESULTS, and Bread for the World estimate that 15 million people die each year from preventable poverty, of whom 11 million are children under the age of five. Jeffrey Sachs says the total deaths are closer to 8 million. Either way, poverty causes more human destruction every year than those claimed in the Holocaust.

The total deaths from poverty in the last 15 years is conservatively greater than from all wars, revolutions, murders, accidents, and suicides in the 20th century. In the past 20 years, the total deaths from poverty probably eclipse all the above categories of death in all known human history; ~400 million.

Make sure you get this: in your lifetime, human beings have allowed other people in poverty, mostly helpless children under the age of five, to die before our eyes in slow, gruesome, painful death in numbers greater than all of the catastrophic events in all recorded human history.

To put this number in one perspective that I provide for my students: since I graduated from high school in 1978, preventable poverty has killed ~ 500 million people, one-half a billion; which equals the entire population of the United States plus five additional Californias.

Crucial to the case to prove Crimes against Humanity as intentional policy is the fact of ongoing “Developed Nations’” reneged promises to end poverty since 1969. For 18 years I was a volunteer leader for RESULTS, and participated in education for Congress and heads of state on solutions for ending poverty that are technically so easy and affordable that all counter-arguments were ended, both academically and politically.

We championed two UN Summits for heads of state: the 1990 World Summit for Children (largest meeting of heads of state in world history) and the 1997 Microcredit Summit (topic of the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize). All “Developed Nation” leaders attended, smiled for the cameras, and agreed to end poverty without expressed doubt, counter-argument, or concern. The developed nations promised a mere 0.7% of their income to end all aspects of global poverty. The US typically underfunds this promise by ~400% (providing just 1/4th the promise).

The American public believe we give 25% of our budget to foreign aid, and are willing to give 10% (~$380 billion for 2015). The amount invested is actually ~$30 billion/year. The US spends over $600 billion/year on the military. The total amount to end poverty is ~$100 billion combined from all the developed nations a year for ten years. In contrast to the policy we receive, the .01% oligarchs “legally” hide $20 to $30 trillion in offshore tax havens in a rigged-casino economy designed for “peak inequality.” This .01% parasitic loot is twenty to thirty times the amount to end global poverty forever.

Ending poverty reduces population growth rates in every historical case, reduces strains on resources, and according to the CIA is the best way to end global terrorism.

This is ongoing Crimes against Humanity because it’s systemic premeditated attack that rejects world summit promises to end poverty, and instead willfully chooses these humans’ murder, extermination, and inhumane great suffering, the most serious bodily harm, and crippling mental injury.

The 2004 Vioxx recall, as you may remember, was spurred by the nearly 30,000 excess cases of heart attacks and sudden cardiac deaths caused by the drug between 1999-2003.

There are, of course, hundreds of additional substances which have been studied for their pain-killing and/or anti-inflammatory effects, and there are also aromatherapeutic approaches that do not require the ingestion of anything at all, but there is also a danger here. When we think of taking an alternative pain-killer to ibuprofen, we are still thinking within the palliative, allopathic medical model: suppress the symptom, and go on about our business.

It would behoove us to look deeper into what is causing our pain. And when possible, remove the cause(s). And that often requires a dramatic dietary shift away from pro-inflammatory foods, many of which most Westerners still consider absolutely delightful, e.g. wheat, dairy, nighshade vegetables and even wheat-free grains, etc.

Ken Wamsley Sometimes Dreams that he’s playing softball again. He’ll be at center field, just like when he played slow pitch back in his teens, or pounding the ball over the fence as the crowd goes wild. Other times, he’s somehow inexplicably back at work in the lab. Wamsley calls them nightmares, these stories that play out in his sleep, but really the only scary part is the end, when “I wake up and I have no rectum anymore.”



Wamsley is 73. After developing rectal cancer and having surgery to treat it in 2002, he walks slowly and gets up from the bench in his small backyard slowly. His voice, which has a gentle Appalachian lilt, is still animated, though, especially when he talks about his happier days. There were many.

While Wamsley knew plenty of people in Parkersburg, West Virginia, who struggled to stay employed, he made an enviable wage for almost four decades at the DuPont plant here. The company was generous, helping him pay for college courses and training him to become a lab analyst in the Teflon division.

He enjoyed the work, particularly the precision and care it required. For years, he measured levels of a chemical called C8 in various products. The chemical “was everywhere,” as Wamsley remembers it, bubbling out of the glass flasks he used to transport it, wafting into a smelly vapor that formed when he heated it. A fine powder, possibly C8, dusted the laboratory drawers and floated in the hazy lab air.

At the time, Wamsley and his coworkers weren’t particularly concerned about the strange stuff.

“We never thought about it, never worried about it,” he said recently. He believed it was harmless; “Like a soap. Wash your hands [with it], your face, take a bath.”

“Who knew?” he asked. “When did they know? Did they lie?”

Until recently, few people had heard much about chemicals like C8. One of tens of thousands of unregulated industrial chemicals, perfluorooctanoic acid, or PFOA - also called C8 because of the eight-carbon chain that makes up its chemical backbone - had gone unnoticed for most of its eight or so decades on earth, even as it helped cement the success of one of the world’s largest corporations.

Several blockbuster discoveries, including nylon, Lycra, and Tyvek, helped transform the E. I. du Pont de Nemours company from a 19th-century gunpowder mill into “one of the most successful and sustained industrial enterprises in the world,” as its corporate website puts it.

Indeed, in 2014, the company reaped more than $95 million in sales each day. Perhaps no product is as responsible for its dominance as Teflon, which was introduced in 1946, and for more than 60 years C8 was an essential ingredient of Teflon.

Called a “surfactant” because it reduces the surface tension of water, the slippery, stable compound was eventually used in hundreds of products, including:

Gore-Tex and other waterproof clothing; coatings for eye glasses and tennis rackets; stain-proof coatings for carpets and furniture; fire-fighting foam; fast food wrappers; microwave popcorn bags; bicycle lubricants; satellite components; ski wax; communications cables; and pizza boxes.

Concerns about the safety of Teflon, C8, and other long-chain perfluorinated chemicals first came to wide public attention more than a decade ago, but the story of DuPont’s long involvement with C8 has never been fully told.

Over the past 15 years, as lawyers have been waging an epic legal battle - culminating as the first of approximately 3,500 personal injury claims comes to trial in September - a long trail of documents has emerged that casts new light on C8, DuPont, and the fitful attempts of the Environmental Protection Agency to deal with a threat to public health.

This story is based on many of those documents, which until they were entered into evidence for these trials had been hidden away in DuPont’s files.

Among them are write-ups of experiments on rats, dogs, and rabbits showing that C8 was associated with a wide range of health problems that sometimes killed the lab animals.

Many thousands of pages of expert testimony and depositions have been prepared by attorneys for the plaintiffs. And through the process of legal discovery they have uncovered hundreds of internal communications revealing that DuPont employees for many years suspected that C8 was harmful and yet continued to use it, putting the company’s workers and the people who lived near its plants at risk.

The best evidence of how C8 affects humans has also come out through the legal battle over the chemical, though in a more public form. As part of a 2005 settlement over contamination around the West Virginia plant where Wamsley worked, lawyers for both DuPont and the plaintiffs approved a team of three scientists, who were charged with determining if and how the chemical affects people. In 2011 and 2012, after seven years of research, the science panel found that C8 was “more likely than not” linked to ulcerative colitis - Wamsley’s condition - as well as to high cholesterol; pregnancy-induced hypertension; thyroid disease; testicular cancer; and kidney cancer.

Another revelation about C8 makes all of this more disturbing and gives the upcoming trials, the first of which will be held this fall in Columbus, Ohio, global significance: This deadly chemical that DuPont continued to use well after it knew it was linked to health problems is now practically everywhere.

A man-made compound that didn’t exist a century ago, C8 is in the blood of 99.7 percent of Americans, according to a 2007 analysis of data from the Centers for Disease Control, as well as in newborn human babies, breast milk, and umbilical cord blood.

A growing group of scientists have been tracking the chemical’s spread through the environment, documenting its presence in a wide range of wildlife, including Loggerhead sea turtles, bottlenose dolphins, harbor seals, polar bears, caribou, walruses, bald eagles, lions, tigers, and arctic birds.

Although DuPont no longer uses C8, fully removing the chemical from all the bodies of water and bloodstreams it pollutes is now impossible. And, because it is so chemically stable - in fact, as far as scientists can determine, it never breaks down - C8 is expected to remain on the planet well after humans are gone from it.

'In some ways, C8 already is the tobacco of the chemical industry - a substance whose health effects were the subject of a decades-long corporate cover-up.'

Eight companies are responsible for C8 contamination in the U.S. (In addition to DuPont, the leader by far in terms of both use and emissions, seven others had a role, including 3M, which produced C8 and sold it to DuPont for years.)



If these polluters were ever forced to clean up the chemical, which has been detected by the EPA 716 times across water systems in 29 states, and in some areas may be present at dangerous levels, the costs could be astronomical - and C8 cases could enter the storied realm of tobacco litigation, forever changing how the public thinks about these products and how a powerful industry does business.

In some ways, C8 already is the tobacco of the chemical industry - a substance whose health effects were the subject of a decades-long corporate cover-up. As with tobacco, public health organizations have taken up the cause - and numerous reporters have dived into the mammoth story.

Like the tobacco litigation, the lawsuits around C8 also involve huge amounts of money. And, like tobacco, C8 is a symbol of how difficult it is to hold companies responsible, even when mounting scientific evidence links their products to cancer and other diseases.

There is at least one sense in which the tobacco analogy fails. Exposure to tobacco usually contains an element of volition, and most people who smoked it in the past half century knew about some of the risks involved. But the vast majority of Americans - along with most people on the planet - now have C8 in their bodies. And we’ve had no choice in the matter.

For its furst undred years DuPont mostly made explosives, which, while hazardous, were at least well understood. But by the 1930s, the company had expanded into new products that brought new mysterious health problems. Leaded gasoline, which DuPont made in its New Jersey plant, for instance, wound up causing madness and violent deaths and life-long institutionalization of workers. And certain rubber and industrial chemicals inexplicably turned the skin of exposed workers blue.

Perhaps most troubling, at least to a DuPont doctor named George Gehrmann, was a number of bladder cancers that had recently begun to crop up among many dye workers.

Worried over “the tendency to believe [chemicals] are harmless until proven otherwise,” Gehrmann pushed DuPont to create Haskell Laboratories in 1935. Haskell was one of the first in-house toxicology facilities and its first project was to address the bladder cancers. But the inherent problems of assigning staff scientists to study a company’s own employees and products became clear from the outset.

One of Haskell’s first employees, a pathologist named Wilhelm Hueper, helped crack the bladder cancer case by developing a model of how the dye chemicals led to disease. But the company forbade him from publishing some of his research and, according to epidemiologist and public health scholar David Michaels, fired him in 1937 before going on to use the chemicals in question for decades.

DuPont elected not to disclose its findings to regulators.

C8 would prove to be arguably even more ethically and scientifically challenging for Haskell. From the beginning, DuPont scientists approached the chemical’s potential dangers with rigor. In 1954, the very year a French engineer first applied the slick coating to a frying pan, a DuPont employee named R. A. Dickison noted that he had received an inquiry regarding C8’s “possible toxicity.” In 1961, just seven years later, in-house researchers already had the short answer to Dickison’s question:

C8 was indeed toxic and should be “handled with extreme care,” according to a report filed by plaintiffs. By the next year experiments had honed these broad concerns into clear, bright red flags that pointed to specific organs:

C8 exposure was linked to the enlargement of rats’ testes, adrenal glands, and kidneys. In 1965, 14 employees, including Haskell’s then-director, John Zapp, received a memo describing preliminary studies that showed that even low doses of a related surfactant could increase the size of rats’ livers, a classic response to exposure to a poison.

The company even conducted a human C8 experiment, a deposition revealed. In 1962, DuPont scientists asked volunteers to smoke cigarettes laced with the chemical and observed that:

“Nine out of ten people in the highest-dosed group were noticeably ill for an average of nine hours with flu-like symptoms that included chills, backache, fever, and coughing.”

Because of its toxicity, C8 disposal presented a problem.

In the early 1960s, the company buried about 200 drums of the chemical on the banks of the Ohio River near the plant. An internal DuPont document from 1975 about “Teflon Waste Disposal” detailed how the company began packing the waste in drums, shipping the drums on barges out to sea, and dumping them into the ocean, adding stones to make the drums sink.

Though the practice resulted in a moment of unfavorable publicity when a fisherman caught one of the drums in his net, no one outside the company realized the danger the chemical presented. At some point before 1965, ocean dumping ceased, and DuPont began disposing of its Teflon waste in landfills instead.

In 1978, Bruce Karrh, DuPont’s corporate medical director, was outspoken about the company’s duty “to discover and reveal the unvarnished facts about health hazards,” as he wrote in the Bulletin of the New York Academy of Medicine at the time.

When deposed in 2004, Karrh emphasized that DuPont’s internal health and safety rules often went further than the government’s and that the company’s policy was to comply with either laws or the company’s internal health and safety standards, “whichever was the more strict.” In his 1978 article, Karrh also insisted that a company;

“Should be candid, and lay all the facts on the table. This is the only responsible and ethical way to go.”

Yet DuPont only laid out some of its facts. In 1978, for instance, DuPont alerted workers to the results of a study done by 3M showing that its employees were accumulating C8 in their blood.

Later that year, Karrh and his colleagues began reviewing employee medical records and measuring the level of C8 in the blood of the company’s own workers in Parkersburg, as well as at another DuPont plant in Deepwater, New Jersey, where the company had been using C8 and related chemicals since the 1950s.

They found that exposed workers at the New Jersey plant had increased rates of endocrine disorders. Another notable pattern was that, like dogs and rats, people employed at the DuPont plants more frequently had abnormal liver function tests after C8 exposure.

DuPont elected not to disclose its findings to regulators. The reasoning, according to Karrh, was that the abnormal test results weren’t proven to be adverse health effects related to C8. When asked about the decision in deposition, Karrh said that “at that point in time, we saw no substantial risk, so therefore we saw no obligation to report.”

Not long after the decision was made not to alert the EPA, in 1981, another study of DuPont workers by a staff epidemiologist declared that liver test data collected in Parkersburg lacked “conclusive evidence of an occupationally related health problem among workers exposed to C-8.”

Yet the research might have reasonably led to more testing. An assistant medical director named Vann Brewster suggested that an early draft of the study be edited to state that DuPont should conduct further liver test monitoring. Years later, a proposal for a follow-up study was rejected.

If the health effects on humans could still be debated in 1979, C8’s effects on animals continued to be apparent. A report prepared for plaintiffs stated that by then, DuPont was aware of studies showing that exposed beagles had abnormal enzyme levels “indicative of cellular damage.” Given enough of the stuff, the dogs died.

DuPont employees knew in 1979 about a recent 3M study showing that some rhesus monkeys also died when exposed to C8, according to documents submitted by plaintiffs. Scientists divided the primates into five groups and exposed them to different amounts of C8 over 90 days.



Those given the highest dose all died within five weeks. More notable was that three of the monkeys who received less than half that amount also died, their faces and gums growing pale and their eyes swelling before they wasted away. Some of the monkeys given the lower dose began losing weight in the first week it was administered. C8 also appeared to affect some monkeys’ kidneys.

Of course, enough of anything can be deadly. Even a certain amount of table salt would kill a lab animal, a DuPont employee named C. E. Steiner noted in a confidential 1980 communications meeting. For C8, the lethal oral dose was listed as one ounce per 150 pounds, although the document stated that the chemical was most toxic when inhaled.

The harder question was to determine a maximum safe dosage. How much could an animal - or a person - be exposed to without having any effects at all? The1965 DuPont study of rats suggested that even a single dose of a similar surfactant could have a prolonged effect. Nearly two months after being exposed, the rats’ livers were still three times larger than normal.

Steiner declared that there was no “conclusive evidence” that C8 harmed workers, yet he also stated that “continued exposure is not tolerable.” Because C8 accumulated in bodies, the potential for harm was there, and Steiner predicted the company would continue medical and toxicological monitoring and described plans to supply workers who were directly exposed to the chemical with protective clothing.

Two years after DuPont learned of the monkey study, in 1981, 3M shared the results of another study it had done, this one on pregnant rats, whose unborn pups were more likely to have eye defects after they were exposed to C8. The EPA was also informed of the results. After 3M’s rat study came out, DuPont transferred all women out of work assignments with potential for exposure to C8.

DuPont doctors then began tracking a small group of women who had been exposed to C8 and had recently been pregnant. If even one in five women gave birth to children who had craniofacial deformities, a DuPont epidemiologist named Fayerweather warned, the results should be considered significant enough to suggest that C8 exposure caused the problems.

As it turned out, at least one of eight babies born to women who worked in the Teflon division did have birth defects. A little boy named Bucky Bailey, whose mother, Sue, had worked in Teflon early in her pregnancy, was born with tear duct deformities, only one nostril, an eyelid that started down by his nose, and a condition known as “keyhole pupil,” which looked like a tear in his iris. Another child, who was two years old when the rat study was published in 1981, had an “unconfirmed eye and tear duct defect,” according to a DuPont document that was marked confidential. Like Wamsley, Sue Bailey, one of the plaintiffs whose personal injury suits are scheduled to come to trial in the fall, remembers having plenty of contact with C8.

When she started at DuPont in 1978, she worked first in the Nylon division and then in Lucite, she told me in an interview. But in 1980, when she was in the first trimester of her pregnancy with Bucky, she moved to Teflon, where she often sat watch over a large pipe that periodically filled up with liquid, which she had to pump to a pond in back of the plant. Occasionally some of the bubbly stuff would overflow from a nearby holding tank, and her supervisor taught her how to squeegee the excess into a drain.

Soon after Bucky was born, Bailey received a call from a DuPont doctor. “I thought it was just a compassion call, you know: can we do anything or do you need anything?” Bailey recalled. “Shoot. I should have known better.” In fact, the doctor didn’t express his sympathies, Bailey said, and instead asked her whether her child had any birth defects, explaining that it was standard to record such problems in employees’ newborns.

While Bailey was still on maternity leave, she learned that the company was removing its female workers from the Teflon division. She remembers the moment - and that it made her feel deceived. “It sure was a big eye-opener,” said Bailey, who still lives in West Virginia but left DuPont a few years after Bucky’s birth.

The Federal Toxic Substances Control Act requires companies that work with chemicals to report to the Environmental Protection Agency any evidence they find that shows or even suggests that they are harmful. In keeping with this requirement, 3M submitted its rat study to the EPA, and later DuPont scientists wound up discussing the study with the federal agency, saying they believed it was flawed. DuPont scientists neglected to inform the EPA about what they had found in tracking their own workers.

When DuPont began transferring women workers out of Teflon, the company did send out a flier alerting them to the results of the 3M study. When Sue Bailey saw the notice on the bench of the locker room and read about the rat study, she immediately thought of Bucky.

Yet when she went in to request a blood test, the results of which the doctor carefully noted to the thousandth decimal point, and asked if there might be a connection between Bucky’s birth defects and the rat study she had read about, Bailey recalls that Dr. Younger Lovelace Power, the plant doctor, said no. According to Karrh’s deposition, he told Karrh the same.

“We went back to him and asked him to follow up on it, and he did, and came back saying that he did not think it was related.” “I said, ‘I was in Teflon. Is this what happened to my baby?’” Bailey remembered. “And he said, ‘No, no.’”

Power also told Bailey that the company had no record of her having worked in Teflon. Shortly afterward, she considered suing DuPont and even contacted a lawyer in Parkersburg, who she says wasn’t interested in taking her case against the town’s biggest employer. When contacted for his response to Bailey’s recollections, Power declined to comment.

By testing the blood of female Teflon workers who had given birth, DuPont researchers, who then reported their findings to Karrh, documented for the first time that C8 had moved across the human placenta.

In 2005, when the EPA fined the company for withholding this information, attorneys for DuPont argued that because the agency already had evidence of the connection between C8 and birth defects in rats, the evidence it had withheld was “merely confirmatory” and not of great significance, according to the agency’s consent agreement on the matter.

Ken Wamsley also remembers when his supervisor told him they had taken female workers out of Teflon. “I said, ‘Why’d you send all the women home?’ He said, ‘Well, we’re afraid, we think maybe it hurts the pregnancies in some of the women,’” recalled Wamsley. “They said, ‘Ken, it won’t hurt the men.’”

The University Of Otago, FDA, Medsafe & Other Bodies Admit That Their Claims About MMS Being Dangerous Are Not Supported By Any Scientific Evidence

The FDA (Food and Drug Administration) was asked by an MMS customer to provide the scientific studies or any other evidence to support the statements made on their website; that using activated MMS (chlorine dioxide) in low concentrations was dangerous. The customer had asked as follows;

“Can you please send me (or direct me to), the scientific studies and any other evidence upon which you have based your warnings against taking chlorine dioxide in the low concentrations being promoted by MMS users."

The FDA responded by directing the customer to the same 'statements made on their website' as being their evidence. That is like going to court accusing someone of stealing from you, and the only evidence that you have, is you saying that they stole from you!

The FDA further stated that they had no "additional information" to offer, that would scientifically support their claims.

The statements made by the FDA are the basis of most other warnings being released regarding MMS, such as those released by Health Canada, Food Standards Authority in the UK, The Victorian Poisons Centre in Australia, Medsafe in NZ; plus all of the related Media articles.

If the source of such claims now admit that they have published statements that are not supported by any scientific evidence; wouldn't that cast the same unreliability upon all other such warnings?



For example, The Victorian Poisons Centre reference the FDA's statements as evidence of MMS being dangerous.

As well as quoting the somewhat discredited warnings from the FDA, the Victorian Poisons Centre state in their letter above that "there is no published scientifically sound evidence that MMS has any health benefits".

Because the FDA now admit that they have no scientific evidence of its correct use being harmful; the only real evidence that we do have, is at least one University Study confirming that it is safe for human consumption; 

"...the relative safety of oral ingestion of chlorine dioxide... was demonstrated".

(In one 6-month phase of the tests, the dosages were the same as MMS doses).

As unofficial evidence, we also have thousands of independent cases from around the world indicating that it works;

Other MMS customers have also received from official sources, similar responses to their requests for evidence of MMS being dangerous, or evidence of harm resulting from correctly following the MMS sacraments of The Genesis II Church of Health and Healing. 

Here for example, Medsafe in NZ admit that their department has also conducted NO testing of MMS or chlorine dioxide, upon which they could support any of their claims regarding MMS being dangerous;




Another letter confirms that in relation to safety, the National Poisons Centre has received no complaints or reports of adverse reactions in relation to the use of MMS, over a 13 year period of it's use in NZ; 





Likewise, the Centre for Adverse Reactions Monitoring (CARM) has received no reports of adverse reactions in relation to the use of MMS at the time of writing;




So with the somewhat discredited information published by the FDA (and then duplicated by other departments around the world), put aside; here is what we are left with in relation to activated MMS (chlorine dioxide):

Conclusions:

It seems that the supposed absence of scientific evidence that chlorine dioxide has any health benefits, has had no influence on actual results showing that it does!

The official sources agree with the results, that using activated MMS (chlorine dioxide) correctly has not caused serious harm.

Governments from around the world admit they carry out false flag terror.



A major with the Nazi SS admitted at the Nuremberg trials that – under orders from the chief of the Gestapo – he and some other Nazi operatives faked attacks on their own people and resources which they blamed on the Poles, to justify the invasion of Poland. Nazi general Franz Halder also testified at the Nuremberg trials that Nazi leader Hermann Goering admitted to setting fire to the German parliament building, and then falsely blaming the communists for the arson.

Soviet leader  Nikita Khrushchev admitted in writing that the Soviet Union’s Red Army shelled the Russian village of Mainila in 1939, and declared that the fire originated from Finland as a basis launching the Winter War four days later.

2 years before, American Senator George Smathers had suggested that the U.S. make “a false attack made on Guantanamo Bay which would give us the excuse of actually fomenting a fight which would then give us the excuse to go in and [overthrow Castro]“.



And Official State Department documents show that – only nine months before the Joint Chiefs of Staff plan was proposed – the head of the Joint Chiefs and other high-level officials discussed blowing up a consulate in the Dominican Republic in order to justify an invasion of that country. The 3 plans were not carried out, but they were all discussed as serious proposals.

The South African Truth and Reconciliation Council found that, in 1989, the Civil Cooperation Bureau (a covert branch of the South African Defense Force) approached an explosives expert and asked him “to participate in an operation aimed at discrediting the ANC [the African National Congress] by bombing the police vehicle of the investigating officer into the murder incident”, thus framing the ANC for the bombing.

According to the Washington Post, Indonesian police admit that the Indonesian military killed American teachers in Papua in 2002 and blamed the murders on a Papuan separatist group in order to get that group listed as a terrorist organization.

The well-respected former Indonesian president also admits that the government probably had a role in the Bali bombings.

As reported by BBC, the New York Times, and Associated Press, Macedonian officials admit that the government murdered 7 innocent immigrants in cold blood and pretended that they were Al Qaeda soldiers attempting to assassinate Macedonian police, in order to join the “war on terror”.

Although the FBI now admits that the 2001 anthrax attacks were carried out by one or more U.S. government scientists, a senior FBI official says that the FBI was actually told to blame the Anthrax attacks on Al Qaeda by White House officials (remember what the anthrax letters looked like). A Colombian army colonel has admitted that his unit murdered 57 civilians, then dressed them in uniforms and claimed they were rebels killed in combat.

U.S. soldiers have admitted that if they kill innocent Iraqis and Afghanis, they then “drop” automatic weapons near their body so they can pretend they were militants.

The highly-respected writer for the Telegraph Ambrose Evans-Pritchard says that the head of Saudi intelligence – Prince Bandar – admitted last the Saudi government controls “Chechen” terrorists.

So Common - There’s a Name for It

This tactic is so common that it was given a name for hundreds of years ago.

“False flag terrorism” is defined as a government attacking its own people, then blaming others in order to justify going to war against the people it blames. Or as Wikipedia defines it:

"False flag operations are covert operations conducted by governments, corporations, or other organizations, which are designed to appear as if they are being carried out by other entities. The name is derived from the military concept of flying false colors; that is, flying the flag of a country other than one’s own. False flag operations are not limited to war and counter-insurgency operations, and have been used in peace-time; for example, during Italy’s strategy of tension."

The term comes from the old days of wooden ships, when one ship would hang the flag of its enemy before attacking another ship in its own navy. Because the enemy’s flag, instead of the flag of the real country of the attacking ship, was hung, it was called a “false flag” attack.

Indeed, this concept is so well-accepted that rules of engagement for naval, air and land warfare all prohibit false flag attacks.

You would think that something so widely used and so well accepted would have quite the pristine story leading to its acceptance. But that just isn’t the case as you will soon discover after reading this post.

How Aspartame Became Legal

Born out of accident. In the mid 1960's a chemist working for the company by the name of of G.D. Searle accidentally created aspartame in a quest to produce a cure for stomach ulcers. Searle puts aspartame through some testing procedures and eventually gets approval by the FDA.

Unfortunately, the testing process was among the worst. Not long after approval, the dangers of aspartame brought G.D. Searle under major fire.

In fact: Aspartame triggered the first criminal investigation of a manufacturer put into place by the FDA in 1977.

In 1980 the FDA banned aspartame from use after having 3 independent scientist study the artificial sweetener. Why?

Because they found that aspartame came with a high danger of inducing brain tumors.

Brain tumors: Bad. Aspartame banned by the FDA.

In January of 1981 Donald Rumsfeld, CEO of Searle, stated in a sales meeting that he was going to “call in his markers” and make a push to get aspartame approved. That month Ronald Reagan was sworn in as President of the United States. His transition team included Rumsfeld who hand picked Dr. Arthur Hull Hayes Jr. to be the new FDA Commissioner.

Within a couple of months, Hayes appointed a 5-person Scientific Commission to review the claims on aspartame. In a 3 – 2 decision, the panel upheld the original ban, stating that the artificial sweetener was unsafe.

Aspartame: Banned twice by the FDA.

Despite the panel’s decision, Hayes later installed a sixth member on the commission who voted in favor of the making aspartame legal. The vote was now deadlocked.

So what happened?

Hayes personally broke the tie in aspartame’s favor. (Keep in mind that Dr. Hayes, a pharmacologist had no previous experience with food additives before becoming the FDA Director.)

On July 18, 1981 Hayes officially approved the use of aspartame as an artificial sweetener in dry goods. (How’s this for a kicker: In 1983 Hayes later left his post at the FDA amid accusations that he was accepting corporate gifts for political favors. BUT, just before leaving office in scandal, Hayes approved the use of aspartame in beverages.)

The icing on the cake: In 1985 Searle was absorbed by Monsanto. Donald Rumsfeld reportedly received a $12 million bonus. And the sad tale of fake food and experimentation on the human race continued onward.

December 1965 – While working on an ulcer drug, James Schlatter, a chemist at G.D. Searle, accidentally discovers aspartame, a substance that is 180 times sweeter than sugar yet has no calories.

Spring 1967 – Searle begins the safety tests on aspartame that are necessary for applying for FDA approval of food additives.

Fall 1967 – Dr. Harold Waisman, a biochemist at the University of Wisconsin, conducts aspartame safety tests on infant monkeys on behalf of the Searle Company. Of the seven monkeys that were being fed aspartame mixed with milk, one dies and five others have grand mal seizures.

November 1970 – Cyclamate, the reigning low-calorie artificial sweetener - is pulled off the market after some scientists associate it with cancer. Questions are also raised about safety of saccharin, the only other artificial sweetener on the market, leaving the field wide open for aspartame.

December 18, 1970 – Searle Company executives lay out a “Food and Drug Sweetener Strategy’ that they feel will put the FDA into a positive frame of mind about aspartame. An internal policy memo describes psychological tactics the company should use to bring the FDA into a subconscious spirit of participation” with them on aspartame and get FDA regulators into the “habit of saying, “Yes”.”

Spring 1971 – Neuroscientist Dr. John Olney (whose pioneering work with monosodium glutamate was responsible for having it removed from baby foods) informs Searle that his studies show that aspartic acid (one of the ingredients of aspartame) caused holes in the brains of infant mice. One of Searle’s own researchers confirmed Dr. Olney’s findings in a similar study.

February 1973 – After spending tens of millions of dollars conducting safety tests, the G.D. Searle Company applies for FDA approval and submits over 100 studies they claim support aspartame’s safety.

March 5, 1973 – One of the first FDA scientists to review the aspartame safety data states that:

"The information provided (by Searle) is inadequate to permit an evaluation of the potential toxicity of aspartame”.

She says in her report that in order to be certain that aspartame is safe, further clinical tests are needed.

May 1974 – Attorney, Jim Turner (consumer advocate who was instrumental in getting cyclamate taken off the market) meets with Searle representatives to discuss Dr. Olney’s 1971 study which showed that aspartic acid caused holes in the brains of infant mice.

July 26, 1974 – The FDA grants aspartame its first approval for restricted use in dry foods.

August 1974 – Jim Turner and Dr. John Olney file the first objections against aspartame’s approval.

March 24, 1976 – Turner and Olney’s petition triggers an FDA investigation of the laboratory practices of aspartame’s manufacturer, G.D. Searle. The investigation finds Searle’s testing procedures shoddy, full of inaccuracies and “manipulated” test data. The investigators report they “had never seen anything as bad as Searle’s testing.”

January 10, 1977 – The FDA formally requests the U.S. Attorney’s office to begin grand jury proceedings to investigate whether indictments should be filed against Searle for knowingly misrepresenting findings and “concealing material facts and making false statements” in aspartame safety tests. This is the first time in the FDA’s history that they request a criminal investigation of a manufacturer.

January 26, 1977 – While the grand jury probe is underway, Sidley & Austin, the law firm representing Searle, begins job negotiations with the U.S. Attorney in charge of the investigation, Samuel Skinner.

March 8, 1977 – G. D. Searle hires prominent Washington insider Donald Rumsfeld as the new CEO to try to turn the beleaguered company around. A former Member of Congress and Secretary of Defense in the Ford Administration, Rumsfeld brings in several of his Washington cronies as top management.

July 1, 1977 – Samuel Skinner leaves the U.S. Attorney’s office and takes a job with Searle’s law firm. (see Jan. 26th)

August 1, 1977 – The Bressler Report, compiled by FDA investigators and headed by Jerome Bressler, is released. The report finds that 98 of the 196 animals died during one of Searle’s studies and weren’t autopsied until later dates, in some cases over one year after death. Many other errors and inconsistencies are noted. For example, a rat was reported alive, then dead, then alive, then dead again; a mass, a uterine polyp, and ovarian neoplasms were found in animals but not reported or diagnosed in Searle’s reports.

December 8, 1977 – U.S. Attorney Skinner’s withdrawal and resignation stalls the Searle grand jury investigation for so long that the statue of limitations on the aspartame charges runs out. The grand jury investigation is dropped.

June 1, 1979 – The FDA established a Public Board of Inquiry (PBOI) to rule on safety issues surrounding NutraSweet.

September 30, 1980 – The Public Board of Inquiry concludes NutraSweet should not be approved pending further investigations of brain tumors in animals. The board states it “has not been presented with proof of reasonable certainty that aspartame is safe for use as a food additive.”

January 1981 – Donald Rumsfeld, CEO of Searle, states in a sales meeting that he is going to make a big push to get aspartame approved within the year. Rumsfeld says he will use his political pull in Washington, rather than scientific means, to make sure it gets approved.

January 21, 1981 – Ronald Reagan is sworn in as President of the United States. Reagan’s transition team, which includes Donald Rumsfeld, CEO of G. D. Searle, hand picks Dr. Arthur Hull Hayes Jr. to be the new FDA Commissioner.

March, 1981 – An FDA commissioner’s panel is established to review issues raised by the Public Board of Inquiry.

May 19, 1981 – Three of six in-house FDA scientists who were responsible for reviewing the brain tumor issues, Dr. Robert Condon, Dr. Satya Dubey, and Dr. Douglas Park, advise against approval of NutraSweet, stating on the record that the Searle tests are unreliable and not adequate to determine the safety of aspartame.

July 15, 1981 – In one of his first official acts, Dr. Arthur Hayes Jr., the new FDA commissioner, overrules the Public Board of Inquiry, ignores the recommendations of his own internal FDA team and approves NutraSweet for dry products. Hayes says that aspartame has been shown to be safe for its’ proposed uses and says few compounds have withstood such detailed testing and repeated close scrutiny.

October 15, 1982 – The FDA announces that Searle has filed a petition that aspartame be approved as a sweetener in carbonated beverages and other liquids.

July 1, 1983 – The National Soft Drink Association (NSDA) urges the FDA to delay approval of aspartame for carbonated beverages pending further testing because aspartame is very unstable in liquid form. When liquid aspartame is stored in temperatures above 85 degrees Fahrenheit, it breaks down into DKP and formaldehyde, both of which are known toxins.

July 8, 1983 – The National Soft Drink Association drafts an objection to the final ruling which permits the use of aspartame in carbonated beverages and syrup bases and requests a hearing on the objections. The association says that Searle has not provided responsible certainty that aspartame and its’ degradation products are safe for use in soft drinks.

August 8, 1983 – Consumer Attorney, Jim Turner of the Community Nutrition Institute and Dr. Woodrow Monte, Arizona State University’s Director of Food Science and Nutritional Laboratories, file suit with the FDA objecting to aspartame approval based on unresolved safety issues.

September, 1983 – FDA Commissioner Hayes resigns under a cloud of controversy about his taking unauthorized rides aboard a General Foods jet. (General foods is a major customer of NutraSweet) Burson-Marsteller, Searle’s public relation firm (which also represented several of NutraSweet’s major users), immediately hires Hayes as senior scientific consultant.

Fall 1983 – The first carbonated beverages containing aspartame are sold for public consumption.

What Is Aspartame? Five Surprising Facts You Never Know About This Chemical Sweetener

The controversy surrounding one of the world’s most popular artificial sweeteners, aspartame (NutraSweet, Equal), continues some 30 years after the chemical was rammed through the regulatory process by pharmaceutical interests, despite its well-documented dangers. And yet to this very day, many people are still unaware of the chemical sweetener’s sordid history, not to mention what aspartame is actually made from and how it affects the body and brain.



To many, aspartame is just another FDA-approved sugar alternative that has to be safe, otherwise it wouldn’t be on the market. But the truth about aspartame is much more sinister, including how the chemical sweetener gained market approval. And there’s so much more to the aspartame story that you’ve probably never heard before, thanks to government collusion with powerful drug interests.

1) Aspartame is converted by the body into formaldehyde, a cancer-causing chemical.

Composed of three unique compounds, aspartame is a synergistically toxic chemical, meaning the sum of its individual parts is exponentially more toxic than each one by itself. And yet even in isolation, the three main constituents found in aspartame — aspartic acid, phenylalanine, and methanol — are idiosyncratically toxic in their own right.

Free methanol in particular is highly toxic, converting first into formaldehyde and then into formic acid upon consumption. Unlike the methanol found in alcoholic beverages and various fruits and vegetables, the methanol produced by aspartame is not accompanied by ethanol, which acts as a protector against methanol poisoning. By itself, methanol embalms living tissues and damages DNA, and can cause lymphoma, leukemia, and other forms of cancer.

2) Aspartame causes obesity and metabolic syndrome.

Artificial sweeteners are typically viewed as a safe alternative to sugar, which many people now recognize as a cause of weight gain and metabolic disorders like diabetes when consumed in excess. But a number of scientific studies have found that chemicals like aspartame are perhaps even more damaging, as they promote weight gain in ways unrelated to caloric intake.

A study published in the journal Appetite back in 2013 found that compared to sucrose, a form of sugar, aspartame is actually worse in terms of promoting weight gain. Similar research published in the Yale Journal of Biology and Medicine (YJBM) found that aspartame alters the body’s natural production of hormones, increasing both appetite and sugar cravings.

3) Reagan-appointed FDA commissioner helped get aspartame approved despite evidence showing its toxicity.

Believe it or not, aspartame was an accidental discovery made by scientists working on the development of an ulcer drug for G.D. Searle and Company, a pharmaceutical corporation that was later acquired by Monsanto in 1985. When researchers discovered that the chemical had a sweet taste, G.D. Searle presented it to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for commercial approval.

But the earliest safety studies conducted on the chemical found that it caused grand mal seizures and death in monkeys, findings that were withheld from the FDA. When FDA scientists discovered on their own that aspartame was unsafe, G.D. Searle made a strategic move, waiting for a new FDA commissioner appointed by the late Ronald Reagan to force the chemical through the approval process.

The details of this political transaction are spelled out in the following document posted at the FDA’s own website, but suffice it to say that aspartame was never proven to be safe. It was only through corruption that this artificial sweetener ended up making its way into more than 9,000 consumer products, many of which still contain it today.

4) Aspartame is made from the feces of genetically-modified (GM) E. coli bacteria.

Another disturbing fact about aspartame is that it is produced from the feces of genetically-modified E. coli bacteria. Similar to the fermentation process, E. coli are modified with special genes that cause them to produce unnaturally high levels of a special enzyme that, as a byproduct, produces the phenylalanine needed for aspartame production.

5) Aspartame crosses the blood-brain barrier, potentially causing permanent brain damage.



Aspartame is composed of roughly 40 percent aspartic acid, a free-form amino acid that has the ability to cross the blood-brain barrier. When excess amounts of this compound via aspartame enter the body, brain cells are bombarded with an excess of calcium. The result is neural cell damage and even cell death, which can lead to serious brain damage.

In extreme cases, exposure to aspartic acid, also known as aspartate, can cause neurological conditions like epilepsy and Alzheimer’s disease, and is also implicated in causing diseases like multiple sclerosis (MS) and dementia. Endocrine disorders, or imbalanced or inadequate hormone production, are also linked to so-called “excitotoxin” exposure, or exposure to free-form amino acids like aspartate that overstimulate the brain.

"There's no doubt in my mind whatsoever that Pandemrix increased the occurrence of narcolepsy onset in children in some countries - and probably in most countries," says Emmanuelle Mignot, a specialist in sleep disorder at Stanford University who looked into the effects of the vaccine.

About 80 percent of those affected have been children, but GSK continually turned a blind eye. Even when a study came out showing that vaccinated children where 13 times more likely to develop narcolepsy, the company didn't admit any link. Even when, in 2011, the European Medicines Agency issued a warning that people under 20 should refrain from getting the vaccine, GSK didn't pay attention.

They maintain that they are professionals dedicated to human health; the GSK website currently says;

"At GSK responsible business is how we do business. Our mission is to improve the quality of human life by enabling people to do more, feel better, live longer."

Sure, tell that to eight-year-old Josh Hadfield, from Somerset, England. He took Pandemrix and guess what? He's now on anti-narcolepsy drugs to help keep him awake in school, something which costs approximately $15,000 annually.

"If you make him laugh, he collapses. His memory is shot. There is no cure," his mother says. "He says he wishes he hadn't been born. I feel incredibly guilty about letting him have the vaccine."

GSK Website Puts Emphasis On "Delivering Financial Performance"

Interestingly, the same GSK website that talks about the company's responsibility to help others feel good and live long lives also touches on a more pressing issue, at least for them - and it's one that says a mouthful. Just a few sentences below its statement of health dedication, in larger font that stands out from the rest of the copy, it says;

"How we operate is just as important to us as delivering financial performance."

The statement is attributed to Sir Andrew Witty, GSK CEO. So there you have it. That, my friends, is it in a nutshell, basically as close as we'll come to "hearing" straight from the source itself that all Big Pharma truly has in mind is the health of their numbers.

Of course the fact that GSK will be paying the UK government millions of dollars to those who now have brain damage from taking Pandemrix also speaks volumes.

It acts as an admission that taking the vaccine is indeed a health problem; otherwise, why would GSK be on board with giving money to those who are now hardly able to function in their daily lives? It they truly felt they were in the right, they'd stand firm and refuse to make any payments, right?

"There has never been a case like this before," says Peter Todd, a lawyer who represented many of the claimants in the U.K. "The victims of this vaccine have an incurable and lifelong condition and will require extensive medication."

It's expected that even more people will develop brain injuries associated with taking the swine flu vaccine, especially narcolepsy and cataplexy, which makes a person lose consciousness whenever they experience deep emotions such as the basic act of laughing.

If you have not read John Perkins’ book, Confessions Of An Economic Hit Man, you should. The book is easy to read and explains clearly from the inside how US corporations deceive foreign governments into debts that they cannot service or repay and then use the IMF and World Bank as looting mechanisms and reduce the indebted countries to penury.



Capitalism has become a socially dysfunctional system focused on pillage and not on the growth of consumer income that sustains and grows markets for goods and services. Once the last prospect is looted, there is nothing left to sustain capitalism.

In this interview John Perkins describes the looting process in Greece. Tomorrow the Greek people face the same decision that the people in Iceland and Ireland faced. In Iceland the people rejected the debts and refused to pay them. Now Iceland is recovering. Somehow the feisty Irish were brainwashed into accepting austerity programs so that the looting of Ireland could continue, and Ireland continues to suffer. Sunday will tell us if Greeks have learned from the examples.

Michael Nevradakis: In your book, you write about how you were, for many years, a so-called "economic hit man." Who are these economic hit men, and what do they do?

John Perkins: Essentially, my job was to identify countries that had resources that our corporations want, and that could be things like oil - or it could be markets - it could be transportation systems. There're so many different things.

Once we identified these countries, we arranged huge loans to them, but the money would never actually go to the countries; instead it would go to our own corporations to build infrastructure projects in those countries, things like power plants and highways that benefitted a few wealthy people as well as our own corporations, but not the majority of people who couldn't afford to buy into these things, and yet they were left holding a huge debt, very much like what Greece has today, a phenomenal debt.

“[Indebted countries] become servants to what I call the corporatocracy ... today we have a global empire, and it's not an American empire. It's not a national empire ... It's a corporate empire, and the big corporations rule."

"In the case of Greece, my reaction was that 'Greece is being hit.' There's no question about it."

For example, where we can show economic growth, growth in the GDP, but at the same time unemployment may be going up or staying level, and foreclosures on houses may be going up or staying stable. These numbers tend to reflect the very wealthy, since they have a huge percentage of the economy, statistically speaking.

Nevertheless, we would show that when you invest in these infrastructure projects, your economy does grow, and yet, we would even show it growing much faster than it ever conceivably would, and that was only used to justify these horrendous, incredibly debilitating loans.

Is there a common theme with respect to the countries typically targeted? Are they, for instance, rich in resources or do they typically possess some other strategic importance to the powers that be?

Yes, all of those. Resources can take many different forms: One is the material resources like minerals or oil; another resource is strategic location; another resource is a big marketplace or cheap labor. So, different countries make different requirements. I think what we're seeing in Europe today isn't any different, and that includes Greece. What happens once these countries that are targeted are indebted? How do these major powers, these economic hit men, these international organizations come back and get their "pound of flesh," if you will, from the countries that are heavily in debt? By insisting that the countries adopt policies that will sell their publicly owned utility companies, water and sewage systems, maybe schools, transportation systems, even jails, to the big corporations. Privatize, privatize. Allow us to build military bases on their soil. Many things can be done, but basically, they become servants to what I call the corporatocracy. You have to remember that today we have a global empire, and it's not an American empire. It's not a national empire. It doesn't help the American people very much. It's a corporate empire, and the big corporations rule. They control the politics of the United States, and to a large degree they control a great deal of the policies of countries like China, around the world.

I've been following Greece for a long time. I was on Greek television. A Greek film company did a documentary called "Apology of an Economic Hit Man," and I also spent a lot of time in Iceland and in Ireland.

I was invited to Iceland to help encourage the people there to vote on a referendum not to repay their debts, and I did that and encouraged them not to, and they did vote no, and as a result, Iceland is doing quite well now economically compared to the rest of Europe. Ireland, on the other hand: I tried to do the same thing there, but the Irish people apparently voted against the referendum, though there's been many reports that there was a lot of corruption.

"That's part of the game: convince people that they're wrong, that they're inferior. The corporatocracy is incredibly good at that."

In the case of Greece, my reaction was that "Greece is being hit." There's no question about it. Sure, Greece made mistakes, your leaders made some mistakes, but the people didn't really make the mistakes, and now the people are being asked to pay for the mistakes made by their leaders, often in cahoots with the big banks.

So, people make tremendous amounts of money off of these so-called "mistakes," and now, the people who didn't make the mistakes are being asked to pay the price. That's consistent around the world: We've seen it in Latin America. We've seen it in Asia. We've seen it in so many places around the world.

This leads directly to the next question I had: From my observation, at least in Greece, the crisis has been accompanied by an increase in self-blame or self-loathing; there's this sentiment in Greece that many people have that the country failed, that the people failed . . . there's hardly even protest in Greece anymore, and of course there's a huge "brain drain" - there's a lot of people that are leaving the country. Does this all seem familiar to you when comparing to other countries in which you've had personal experience?

Sure, that's part of the game: Convince people that they're wrong, that they're inferior. The corporatocracy is incredibly good at that, whether it is back during the Vietnam War, convincing the world that the North Vietnamese were evil; today it's the Muslims.

It's a [deliberately devisive] policy of them versus us:



We are good. We are right. We do everything right. You're wrong. And they play us like fools against one another.

And in this case, all of this energy has been directed at the Greek people to say "you're lazy; you didn't do the right thing; you didn't follow the right policies," when in actuality, an awful lot of the blame needs to be laid on the financial community that encouraged Greece to go down this route.

And I would say that we have something very similar going on in the United States, where people here are being led to believe that because their house is being foreclosed that they were stupid, that they bought the wrong houses; they overspent themselves.

"We know that austerity does not work in these situations."

The fact of the matter is their bankers told them to do this, and around the world, we've come to trust bankers - or we used to. In the United States, we never believed that a banker would tell us to buy a $500,000 house if in fact we could really only afford a $300,000 house.

We thought it was in the bank's interest not to foreclose. But that changed a few years ago, and bankers told people who they knew could only afford a $300,000 house to buy a $500,000 house.

"Tighten your belt, in a few years that house will be worth a million dollars; you'll make a lot of money" . . . in fact, the value of the house went down; the market dropped out; the banks foreclosed on these houses, repackaged them, and sold them again.

Double whammy. The people were told, "you were stupid; you were greedy; why did you buy such an expensive house?"

But in actuality, the bankers told them to do this, and we've grown up to believe that we can trust our bankers. Something very similar on a larger scale happened in so many countries around the world, including Greece.

In Greece, the traditional major political parties are, of course, overwhelmingly in favor of the harsh austerity measures that have been imposed, but also we see that the major business and media interests are also overwhelmingly in support. Does this surprise you in the slightest?

No, it doesn't surprise me and yet it's ridiculous because austerity does not work. We've proven that time and time again, and perhaps the greatest proof was the opposite, in the United States during the Great Depression, when President Roosevelt initiated all these policies to put people back to work, to pump money into the economy. That's what works. We know that austerity does not work in these situations.

"What I didn't realize during any of this period was how much corporatocracy does not want a united Europe."

We also have to understand that, in the United States for example, over the past 40 years, the middle class has been on the decline on a real dollar basis, while the economy has been increasing. In fact, that's pretty much happened around the world [and by design].

Globally, the middle class has been in decline. Big business needs to recognize - it hasn't yet, but it needs to recognize - that that serves nobody's long-term interest, that the middle class is the market. And if the middle class continues to be in decline, whether it's in Greece or the United States or globally, ultimately businesses will pay the price; they won't have customers [which is great if your intention is to crash the system].

Henry Ford once said: "I want to pay all my workers enough money so they can go out and buy Ford cars." That's a very good policy. That's wise. This austerity program moves in the opposite direction and it's a foolish policy.

In your book, which was written in 2004, you expressed hope that the euro would serve as a counterweight to American global hegemony, to the hegemony of the US dollar. Did you ever expect that we would see in the European Union what we are seeing today, with austerity that is not just in Greece but also in Spain, Portugal, Ireland, Italy, and also several other countries as well?

What I didn't realize during any of this period was how much corporatocracy does not want a united Europe. We need to understand this. They may be happy enough with the euro, with one currency - they are happy to a certain degree by having it united enough that markets are open - but they do not want standardized rules and regulations.

Let's face it, big corporations, the corporatocracy, take advantage of the fact that some countries in Europe have much more lenient tax laws, some have much more lenient environmental and social laws, and they can pit them against each other.

"[Rafael Correa] ... has to be aware that if you stand up too strongly against the system, if the economic hit men are not happy, if they don't get their way, then the jackals will come in and assassinate you or overthrow you in a coup."

What would it be like for big corporations if they didn't have their tax havens in places like Malta or other places? I think we need to recognize that what the corporatocracy saw at first, the solid euro, a European union seemed like a very good thing, but as it moved forward, they could see that what was going to happen was that social and environmental laws and regulations were going to be standardized.

They didn't want that, so to a certain degree what's been going on in Europe has been because the corporatocracy wants Europe to fail, at least on a certain level.

You wrote about the examples of Ecuador and other countries, which after the collapse of oil prices in the late '80s found themselves with huge debts and this, of course, led to massive austerity measures . . . sounds all very similar to what we are now seeing in Greece. How did the people of Ecuador and other countries that found themselves in similar situations eventually resist?

Ecuador elected a pretty remarkable president, Rafael Correa, who has a PhD in economics from a United States university.

He understands the system, and he understood that Ecuador took on these debts back when I was an economic hit man and the country was ruled by a military junta that was under the control of the CIA and the US.

That junta took on these huge debts, put Ecuador in deep debt; the people didn't agree to that. When Rafael Correa was democratically elected, he immediately said;

"We're not paying these debts; the people did not take on these debts; maybe the IMF should pay the debts and maybe the junta, which of course was long gone - moved to Miami or someplace - should pay the debts, maybe John Perkins and the other economic hit men should pay the debts, but the people shouldn't."

And since then, he's been renegotiating and bringing the debts way down and saying, "We might be willing to pay some of them."

That was a very smart move; it reflected similar things that had been done at different times in places like Brazil and Argentina, and more recently, following that model, Iceland, with great success.

I have to say that Correa has had some real setbacks since then . . . he, like so many presidents, has to be aware that if you stand up too strongly against the system, if the economic hit men are not happy, if they don't get their way, then the jackals will come in and assassinate you or overthrow you in a coup.

There was an attempted coup against him; there was a successful coup in a country not too far away from him, Honduras, because these presidents stood up.

We have to realize that these presidents are in very, very vulnerable positions, and ultimately we the people have to stand up, because leaders can only do a certain amount. Today, in many places, leaders are not just vulnerable; it doesn't take a bullet to bring down a leader anymore.

A scandal - a sex scandal, a drug scandal - can bring down a leader. We saw that happen to Bill Clinton, to Strauss-Kahn of the IMF; we've seen it happen a number of times. These leaders are very aware that they are in very vulnerable positions:

If they stand up or go against the status quo too strongly, they're going to be taken out, one way or another.

They're aware of that, and it behooves we the people to really stand up for our own rights.

You mentioned the recent example of Iceland . . . other than the referendum that was held, what other measures did the country adopt to get out of this spiral of austerity and to return to growth and to a much more positive outlook for the country?

It's been investing money in programs that put people back to work and it's also been putting on trial some of the bankers that caused the problems, which has been a big uplift in terms of morale for the people.

So Iceland has launched some programs that say;

"No, we're not going to go into austerity; we're not going to pay back these loans; we're going to put the money into putting people back to work," - and ultimately that's what drives an economy, people working.

If you've got high unemployment, like you do in Greece today, extremely high unemployment, the country's always going to be in trouble. You've got to bring down that unemployment, you've got to hire people.

It's so important to put people back to work. Your unemployment is about 28 percent; it's staggering, and disposable income has dropped 40 percent and it's going to continue to drop if you have high unemployment.

So, the important thing for an economy is to get the employment up and get disposable income back up, so that people will invest in their country and in goods and services.

In closing, what message would you like to share with the people of Greece, as they continue to experience and to live through the very harsh results of the austerity policies that have been implemented in the country for the past three years?

I want to draw upon Greece's history. You're a proud, strong country, a country of warriors. The mythology of the warrior to some degree comes out of Greece, and so does democracy! And to realize that the marketplace is a democracy today, and how we spend our money is casting our ballot.

Most political democracies are corrupt, including that of the United States. Democracy is not really working on a governmental basis because the corporations are in charge. But it is working on a market basis. I would encourage the people of Greece to stand up: Don't pay off those debts; have your own referendums; refuse to pay them off; go to the streets and strike.

And so, I would encourage the Greek people to continue to do this.

Don't accept this criticism that it's your fault, you're to blame, you've got to suffer austerity, austerity, austerity. That only works for the rich people; it does not work for the average person or the middle class.

Build up that middle class; bring employment back; bring disposable income back to the average citizen of Greece. Fight for that; make it happen; stand up for your rights; respect your history as fighters and leaders in democracy, and show the world!

The revelations of the deep affinity between numerous members of the British royal family and Adolf Hitler - in light of the central role which British policy is playing both in the imposition of a brutal austerity policy on all of Europe, and in the confrontation course with Russia and China - ranks among the most important strategic developments of today.

The quicker the House of Windsor lands in the rubbish heap of history, the better are the chances for reorganizing the totally bankrupt trans - Atlantic financial system, and avoiding a new - this time thermonuclear - world war.

In that context, the publication of a 17 second-long video, in which the seven or eight year old Elizabeth - later Queen Elizabeth II - is seen presenting a Hitler-salute, is only the tip of the iceberg.

Since then, hundreds of articles have been circulated in the English and American press and on the Internet, which shed light on the open adulation of various members of the British Monarchy and British aristocracy for Hitler and the Nazis.

The sympathies of Elizabeth's uncle, former King Edward VIII, who, after his abdication was called the Duke of Windsor, are well-known. More explosive is the role of Prince Philip, whose involvement, according to the British media, are to aired on July 30 on Channel Four of British TV, in a documentary called "The Plot to Make a King."

In this, the close ties of Prince Philip to the Nazis are supposed to be uncovered, as well as the fact that his three sisters were all married to leading members of the National Socialist Party and the SS, and much more.

The Times of Israel on July 19 published an extensive interview with German-British historian Karina Urbach of the University of London, on the results of her research on this subject, which she has just published in a book with the title "Go-Betweens for Hitler."

The book deals with the intense alliance between broad sections of the British Establishment and the Nazis, which alliance played a central role in British geopolitics between the world wars.

How did this material, which until now had previously been kept under absolute lock and key in the British archives, now become public in a way that can only be called a campaign?

The background is, among other things, a kind of blood feud among the Windsors concerning the line of succession to Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, who are in the meantime considered too old to hold the British Empire together at a point in time when the trans-Atlantic financial system is on the edge of a crash, compared to which the collapse of Lehman Brother and AIG in 2008 was child's play.

Part of the Windsor clan wants to skip over Prince Charles in the succession, and make William King; another faction is convinced that Great Britain can only save its relevance if it undergoes a fundamental restructuring of the whole Commonwealth. This second faction is apparently behind the revelations.


Environmentalist Fascists

But in the current strategic situation, the significance of the exposure of the Nazi sympathies of the British royals does not lie merely in hushed-up historical facts coming out, but in the meaning of this tradition for the political offensive which is using the so-called anthropogenic climate change as a pretext for the "decarbonization of the world economy" - an offensive which the British Monarchy is leading globally.

Because if the goal of this climate-lobby, the goal of supporting the energy consumption of the entire world exclusively with so-called renewable energy sources - therefore excluding not only nuclear energy, but also all fossil fuel energy sources - were reached, then the number of people who could be sustained on Earth would be reduced from today's approximate seven billion, to one billion or less.

Because there is a direct connection between the energy flux density used in the production process, which, with "renewable" energies is extremely low, and the potential population which can be supported.

Prince Philip is infamous for his statement that, in his opinion, the Earth is only suitable for one billion people, and he wrote in the foreword to his book If I Were an Animal, published in 1986, that he would like to be reincarnated as a deadly virus, in order to make a contribution to the reduction of the world's population.

The same holds for the World Wildlife Fund and a whole number of other environmental organizations he founded, who, over the past decades, have sabotaged innumerable infrastructure projects in all parts of the world, and thereby have shortened the lives of millions of people.

At present a worldwide campaign is escalating, which would use the upcoming COP21 Climate Conference in December in Paris for the conclusive erection of a world dictatorship, through which the prescribed climate goals would strangle all development of those formerly called developing countries.

The fact that Hans Joachim Schellnhuber, who insists on being identified as "Commander of the British Empire," succeeded in writing his population-reducing theses on the "Great Transformation of Decarbonization of the World Economy" into the latest Encyclical of Pope Francis, Laudato Si', represents a great catastrophe for the Catholic Church, of a sort that hasn't occurred since the Inquisition.

Prince Philip's adviser for religion and climate questions, Martin Palmer, who, in preparation for the December Conference, co-organized a so-called "Summit of Conscience" in Paris on July 21, in his role as general secretary of the "Alliance for Religion and the Environment" (ARC), attacked the "anthropocentric gospel" there.

By this he means that religions such as Christianity, Judaism, and Islam have had difficulty understanding that man is simply not that important. He believes there must be a debate between members of these religions, in order to stamp out the idea that mankind represents something unique.

Here there comes to light the man-hating ideology which is the same as that of the Conservative Revolution, founded against the "ideas of 1789," and of the Nazis and the Green movement: that man is only a higher beast, and therefore human life should be no more sacrosanct than that of the animals; therefore, if required, the numbers of people could also be reduced - as the helots were in ancient Sparta, or the "useless eaters" under the Nazis, or even up to six billion people, who must be sacrificed to the goal of 'saving the climate."

Armin Mohler, the former chairman of the Siemens Foundation, already wrote in his 1949 book The Conservative Revolution that the Conservative Revolution wanted to return to the pre-Christian Gaia-mythology, because the Christian image of man brought with it the cultural optimism, which made possible the modern development of mankind.

The sooner the whole historical truth about the British Empire leads to its well-deserved end, the better.

The Indian opposition parliamentarian Shashi Tharoor performed a small, but important service July 24, in a brilliant speech at the University of Oxford on the crimes of this British Empire in its 200-year colonial domination of India.

He pointed out that India's share of the world economy over this period was reduced from 23% to 4%, and that deliberately triggered famines costing 15 to 29 million Indians their lives.

Indian parliamentarian Shashi Tharoor’s May 28 speech at the Oxford Union, detailing British genocide against India, has now gone viral. Here, Tharoor at Chatham House on June 2, 2015.

For example, Winston Churchill deliberately ordered the removal of foodstuffs for the starving Bengali population, which cost four million Bengalis their lives in 1943. When conscience-stricken British officials alluded to the dimensions of the tragedy which his decision had caused, Churchill only answered: "Why hasn't Gandhi died yet?"

The same Churchill in 1937 said before the House of Commons:

"I did not suggest that, if I had to make a choice between communism and Nazism, I would choose communism."

The fall of the British monarchy would have a liberating effect for all Europe, but especially for Germany, because it would break the continuity of geopolitical manipulation and world wars which has persisted from the dismissal of Otto von Bismarck, deliberately arranged by the British manipulation, to the present day, and of which the tightening of austerity policy toward Greece after the visit of the Queen to Berlin, and the sanctions against Russia are only the latest examples.



But let it be said to the court lackies of the likes of Palmer and Schellnhuber:

Mankind is a unique species, whose inviolable dignity lies in his creativity, which differentiates him from all animals.

Mankind is the only creative species known so far, whose capability for discovering ever new and progressing universal principles, is capable of unlimited improvement, and which has explored the laws of the anti-entropically developing universe ever more successfully.

And that applies in particular to the effects of the cycles of our Solar System and our Galaxy and their effect on the climate.

Therefore the creativity of all mankind will undergo a gargantuan qualitative leap forward - after the downfall of the British monarchy.

Was this merely a joke or was he hinting at something?

Over the years, the Skunk Works division of Lockheed has designed and built a number of high-tech aircraft such as the U-2, the SR-71 Blackbird, the F-22 Raptor and the F-117 Nighthawk. Taking this into account, some have drawn the conclusion that Rich alluded to advanced technology being secretly developed and it might be responsible for some of the flying disks we see today.

Seems too far-fetched? We’re on the same page but wait, it gets better.

In 2001, British systems administrator Gary McKinnon hacked his way into 97 U.S. military and NASA computers. He intended to find top-secret files regarding free energy but stumbled upon something bigger.

McKinnon claimed to have uncovered a spreadsheet containing names and information about “non-terrestrial officers” and transfers between fleets.

He cross referenced these names with a database of all U.S. Navy and military personnel but was unable to find any of the officers.



McKinnon therefore concluded they were not of this world and labeled them as “Space Marines”.

In an interview with the BBC, he said he had been motivated by The Disclosure Project because;

"They are some very credible, relied-upon people, all saying yes, there is UFO technology, there’s anti-gravity, there’s free energy, and it’s extraterrestrial in origin and they’ve captured spacecraft and reverse engineered them.”

McKinnon was discovered just as he was examining the image of a UFO stored in a NASA computer in Johnson Space Center’s Building 8. Caught in 2002, he was facing up to 70 years in prison and several million dollars in fines. However, the U.K. never extradited him to the U.S. and McKinnon managed to avoid prison.

Some say that he was able to do so because he had amassed sensitive information that he used as leverage.

He maintains his claim that extraterrestrial spacecraft have been captured and reverse-engineered and now the alien technology is being used by entities in our own figurative backyard.

This brings us to Solar Warden. According to conspiracy theorists, Solar Warden is an ultra-secret project that maintains a fleet (or several fleets) of spaceships that are operating within our solar system. Some say they’re defending us against alien threats. Others say they’re involved in the covert colonization of space.



Such a fleet would require technology way ahead of what we’ve currently got. In order to send manned missions into the far reaches of our solar system we’d need exotic materials and propulsion systems. But there are some who claim we already do.

"I suspect that in the last 60 years or so, that there has been some back-engineering and the creation of this type of equipment, that is not nearly as sophisticated yet as what the apparent visitors have.” - Dr. Edgar Mitchell, the sixth astronaut to walk on the Moon

Even so, who would have the coin required to fund such a venture?

The United States’ black budget for 2014 amounted to some $52.6 billion and they plan on spending around $58.7 B this year. But even this astronomical sum isn’t enough to fund or maintain a secret space fleet.

And that’s when conspiracy voices start mentioning the deep black budgets. Whether these programs are myth or reality is hard to tell.

Comment: It has emerged that we the people paid for these programs with money being siphoned out of the economy from military budgets, the military industrial complex, and overpriced technologies. As it turns out, there might be UFOs that were built on Earth, based on technology that originated elsewhere in the universe. And we might [definitely] have a space fleet without knowing it.

A few readers took exception to the truth and misconstrued a statement of historical facts as a racist defense of slavery. In an article on LewRockwell.com, the well-known African-American, Walter Williams, points out that the war was about money, not slavery.

Just as Jews who tell the truth about Israel’s policies are called “self-hating Jews,” will Walter Williams be called a “self-hating black?” Invective is used as a defense against truth.

Racist explanations can be very misleading. For example, it is now a given that the police are racists because they kill without cause black Americans and almost always get away with it. Here is a case of a true fact being dangerously misconstrued. In actual fact, the police kill more whites than blacks, and they get away with these murders also. So how is race the explanation?

The real explanation is that the police have been militarized and trained to view the public as enemy who must first be subdued with force and then questioned.

This is the reason that so many innocent people, of every race, are brutalized and killed. No doubt some police are racists, but overall their attitude toward the public is a brutal attitude toward all races, genders, and ages. The police are a danger to everyone, not only to blacks.

We see the same kind of mistake made with the Confederate Battle Flag. Reading some of the accounts of the recent Charleston church shootings, I got the impression that the Confederate Battle Flag, not Dylann Roof, was responsible for the murders.

Those declaring the flag to be a “symbol of hate” might be correct. Possibly it is a symbol of their hatred of the “white South,” a hatred that dates from the mischaracterization of what is called the “Civil War.”

As one commentator pointed out, if flying over slavery for four years makes the Confederate flag a symbol of hate, what does that make the U.S. flag, which flew over slavery for 88 years?

Flags on a battlefield are information devices to show soldiers where their lines are. In the days of black powder, battles produced enormous clouds of smoke that obscured the line between opposing forces. In the first battle of Bull Run confusion resulted from the similarity of the flags. Thus, the Confederate Battle Flag was born. It had nothing to do with hate.

Americans born into the centralized state are unaware that their forebears regarded themselves principally as residents of states, and not as Americans. Their loyalty was to their state.

When Robert E. Lee was offered command in the Union Army, he declined on the grounds that he was a Virginian and could not go to war against his native country of Virginia.

A nonsensical myth has been created that Southerners made blacks into slaves because Southerners are racist. The fact of the matter is that slaves were brought to the new world as a labor force for large scale agriculture.

The first slaves were whites sentenced to slavery under European penal codes. Encyclopedia Virginia reports that:

“Convict laborers could be purchased for a lower price than indentured white or enslaved African laborers, and because they already existed outside society’s rules, they could be more easily exploited.”

White slavery also took the form of indentured servants in which whites served under contract as slaves for a limited time. Native Indians were enslaved. But whites and native Indians proved to be unsatisfactory labor forces for large scale agriculture. The whites had no resistance to malaria and yellow fever.

It was discovered that some Africans did, and Africans were also accustomed to hot climates. Favored by superior survivability, Africans became the labor force of choice.

Slaves were more prominent in the Southern colonies than in the north, because the land in the South was more suitable for large scale agriculture. By the time of the American Revolution, the South was specialized in agriculture, and slavery was an inherited institution that long pre-dated both the United States and the Confederate States of America. The percentage of slave owners in the population was very small, because slavery was associated with large land holdings that produced export crops.

The motive behind slavery was to have a labor force in order to exploit the land. Those with large land holdings wanted labor and did not care about its color. Trial and error revealed that some Africans had superior survivability to malaria, and thus Africans became the labor force of choice. There was no free labor market. The expanding frontier offered poor whites land of their own, which they preferred to wages as agricultural workers.

A racist explanation of slavery and the Confederacy satisfies some agendas, but it is ahistorical.

Explanations are not justifications. Every institution, every vice, every virtue, and language itself has roots. Every institution and every cause has vested interests defending them. There have been a few efforts, such as the French Revolution and the Bolshevik Revolution, to remake the world in a day by casting off all existing institutions, but these attempts came a cropper.

Constant charges of racism can both create and perpetuate racism, just as the constant propaganda out of Washington is creating Islamophobia and Russophobia in the American population.

We should be careful about the words we use and reject agenda-driven explanations.
