Although I cannot answer the questions, I can draw important conclusions from the fact that so many are asking them. It is clear as day that the US government has lost credibility among large segments of the American population as well as abroad. Increasingly, Americans do not believe their government or the media that lies for the government. This is why the print and TV media are on the decline, making it easier for the CIA to buy the media to serve its agendas.

Where shall we begin? Clinton’s lies about Serbia and Kosovo? George W. Bush’s lies about Saddam Hussein’s weapons of mass destruction? Obama’s lies about Gaddafi and Assad’s use of chemical weapons? The lies about Iranian nukes? Obama’s lies about Ukraine? The demonization of Putin?

Or shall we go back to the official lies about President John F. Kennedy’s assassination? Or Martin Luther King’s? Tonkin Gulf? The USS Liberty? Pearl Harbor? “Remember the Maine”?

Or the granddaddy of them all–9/11?

Try to come up with one important event about which the US government did not lie.

My Ph.D. dissertation chairman, Warren Nutter, who was later given the task of winding down the Vietnam war, taught his students that democracy requires trust between the government and the people. Clearly, the government does not trust the American people. Washington pursues hidden agendas that it advances by deceiving the American people.

The first observant and patriotic citizens who warned us of the deceptions practiced by our government were dismissed as “anti-American.” Patriotism became defined as “belief in the government’s word,” as British prime minister Cameron reiterated the other day. Today skeptics who utilize free speech are defined by Homeland Security as “domestic extremists.” Anyone who tells the truth in America is instantly discredited. Indeed, to speak truth in America is a high risk activity.

As Warren Nutter taught, our democracy only works when the government’s agenda is openly revealed and consistent with American principles. When the government lies in order to orchestrate wars that benefit special interests, the government breaks trust with the people and becomes arbitrary, dictatorial, and unaccountable. And when the media prefers money to truth, the government gets away with it.

The government has got away with so much that I cannot imagine anything that the government could not get away with.

Underpinning most of the discussion was the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP).

Alec Baldwin, who early in the show Brand refers to as “still quite dishy ”, kicks off on a serious note with another given, that banks and corporations in the US think they’re too big to fail and above the law.

“Wealthy people have put it up in neon: ‘Anyone who works hard is a chump, an idiot.’There’s no respect for workers, for union labor,” Baldwin said.

Russell Brand, who has been calling for revolution for a number of years now, jumps in on Keiser’s request and says why serious change is needed.

“Because of stuff like the TTIP, it’s preserving and preserving the rights of more and more elite bodies to operate above the law.”

Russell has just brought out a new book called Revolution where he argues that the poor are being shafted by the rich, the planet is being destroyed and it’s time to do something about it.

Keiser suggests that if TTIP goes through then the few communal services left that the Brits hold dear, particularly the NHS, will be dead.

Brand explains why something as terrible as the demise the NHS could happen.

“A great conjuring trick has been practiced upon us, the people of the Western world. We are told that within the political sphere no one has any real power, the Conservatives don’t offer an alternative, Labour doesn’t offer an alternative. None of us want the NHS dismantled, who is benefitting from it? Why can’t we get any purchase on that power? Power hasn’t just disappeared, it has become more elusive, it has become something that we can’t directly confront, what’s required is direct action,” implored the comedian.

Alec Baldwin kind of agrees but with a little less revolution.

“In the US people are so disenfranchised with democracy. They have no political power. The government gets elected and says we’re going to do whatever we’re going to do.They’ve transferred that Roman Coliseum connection to the tabloid media through thumbs up and thumbs down to public figures that has no political efficacy.”

And like a good many Americans Alec is more optimistic for the future than Russell and believes that “deep down they’re beginning to respond in some way and speak out in some way about this disconnect.” The cases of Edward Snowden and Bradley Manning may prove him to be right.

But on one thing Alec and Russell are absolutely hand in hand, and as Russell reminds us they have kissed each other before, at least in a film. Although Brand says he did for free whereas Alec says he needed “hazard pay”.

Alec asks if there was one thing you had to prioritize, give the leadership it needs and change it what would it be.

Russell goes for something social and immediate, which shows perhaps better than anything else, what’s happened to the UK over the last three decades.

“The biggest issue facing Londoners is housing. Normal folk can’t afford to live in London anymore. It’s becoming a playground for the superrich but already there are campaigns starting for people to claim back their homes.”

Alec Says it’s the same in New York and while banging the table for emphasis people can’t afford to live there. The US, government, he says, “is no longer in control of the situation”.

The European Police Office (Europol) said governments are ill-equipped to counter the menace of “injury and possible deaths” spurred by hacking attacks on critical safety equipment, the UK Independent reported Sunday.

Security experts called for a paradigm shift in forensic science which would react to the ‘Internet of Everything’ (IoE) – the dawning era of technological interconnectedness where increasingly more human activity is mediated through computer networks.

“The IoE represents a whole new attack vector that we believe criminals will already be looking for ways to exploit," according to the Europol threat assessment.

“The IoE is inevitable. We must expect a rapidly growing number of devices to be rendered ‘smart’ and thence to become interconnected. Unfortunately, we feel that it is equally inevitable that many of these devices will leave vulnerabilities via which access to networks can be gained by criminals."

In a world of smart cars, homes and even cities, the risk of hacking and cracking attacks will only increase as tens of billions of devices are expected to be accessible remotely in the coming decades. It’s feared the attacks will not only be launched for financial gain, but also to inflict personal harm.

Citing a December 2013 report by US security firm IID, the Europol threat assessment warned of the first murder via "hacked internet-connected device" by the end of 2014.

The idea was widely popularized by the US spy drama Homeland, in which terrorists hacked into the pacemaker of Vice-President Walden, sending him into cardiac arrest. In the real world, a team of computer security researchers managed to gain wireless access to a combination heart defibrillator and pacemaker as far back as 2008.

At the time, the experiment required more than $30,000 worth of lab equipment and a sustained effort by a team of specialists from the University of Washington and the University of Massachusetts to interpret the data gathered from the implant’s signals, the New York Times reported.

The risk, however, did not escape real-life former US Vice-President Dick Cheney, who admitted in October 2013 he harbored the exact same fear.

“I was aware of the danger that existed,” Cheney said. “I knew from the experience we’d had the necessity for adjusting my own device [pacemaker] that it [Homeland] was an accurate portrayal.”

In Cheney’s case, doctors opted to turn off the remote function in Cheney’s pacemaker back in 2007.

Conspiracy theories have also surrounded the death of Rolling Stone and Buzzfeed journalist Michael Hastings, who died in a high-speed car crash on June 18, 2013.

Former US National Coordinator for Security, Infrastructure Protection, and Counter-terrorism Richard Clarke said that based on the available information, the crash was "consistent with a car cyber-attack."

"There is reason to believe that intelligence agencies for major powers – including the United States – know how to remotely seize control of a car. So if there were a cyber-attack on [Hastings'] car – and I'm not saying there was, I think whoever did it would probably get away with it."

Hastings, incidentally, was a vociferous critic of the US surveillance state. Just hours before his death, he sent an email to his colleagues warning of an FBI investigation and that he needed to "go off the rada[r]" for a bit.

That same month, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) pressured the healthcare industry to seal up vulnerabilities in Internet-connected medical devices like pacemakers, “which could be hacked to send out lethal jolts of electricity, or insulin pumps, which can be reprogrammed to administer overdoses,” the IID report said.

In another twist seemingly out of Hollywood, 35-year-old New Zealand hacker, programmer and computer security expert Barnaby Jack died in July 2013, just a week before he was to give a presentation on hacking heart implants at a computer security conference.

Despite rumblings on the internet, Jack had already demonstrated this type of “anonymous assassination” by reverse-engineering a pacemaker transmitter that could deliver deadly electric shocks, the Daily Beast reported.

Jack had done extensive research into the potential of exploiting medical devices including pacemakers and insulin pumps, prompting the FDA to change regulations regarding wireless medical devices in 2012.

Meanwhile, the latest cybersecurity threat assessment is the product of the 2015 Europol-INTERPOL cybercrime conference, which concluded at Europol's headquarters in The Hague on Friday.

The three-day conference brought together some 230 specialists from law enforcement, the private sector and academia “to review current trends and new modus operandi used by organized crime networks.”

The conference named prevention, information exchange, investigation and capacity building as the four core elements needed to combat cybercrime.

Global Patriot Act: Resolution 1373 - in effect, a global Patriot Act - fanned outward from the Security Council. Regional bodies joined the effort, adding action plans and treaties to carry out the new policies.

The European Union, the African Union, the Organization of American States, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, the Association of South East Asian Nations, the Arab League, and other organizations supported the Security Council plan and required their member states to comply with it.

When it passed Resolution 1373, the Security Council failed to link global security law with human rights. For two years, the council’s website pronounced that it was other international agencies’ business to monitor rights since the Security Council was only in the security business.

Countries as diverse as Germany, Vanuatu, Thailand, Russia, Canada, and Ethiopia and more than 100 others adopted comprehensive anti-terrorism laws to comply with Resolution 1373. Although these countries were all following the same instructions, their anti-terrorism laws differed substantially.

By the time the Security Council officially expressed concern about the dire human-rights implications of the policies some governments adopted, it was too late. The measures were already enacted.

A layered approach to online security

Now Obama’s advisers, no doubt led by the blood-thirsty National Security Adviser, Susan Rice, have come up with a new war. This is the War Against Ebola. On September 16, President Obama solemnly declared the war. He announced, to the surprise of most sane citizens, that he had ordered 3,000 American troops, the so-called “boots on the ground” that the Pentagon refuses to agree to in Syria, to wage a war against….a virus?

In a carefully stage-managed appearance at the US Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Obama read a bone-chilling speech. He called the alleged Ebola outbreaks in west Africa,

“a global threat, and it demands a truly global response. This is an epidemic that is not just a threat to regional security. It’s a potential threat to global security, if these countries break down, if their economies break down, if people panic,” Obama continued, conjuring images that would have made Andromeda Strain novelist Michael Chrichton drool with envy. Obama added, “That has profound effects on all of us, even if we are not directly contracting the disease. This outbreak is already spiraling out of control.”

With that hair-raising introduction, the President of the world’s greatest Superpower announced his response. In his role as Commander-in-Chief of the United States of America announced he has ordered 3,000 US troops to west Africa in what he called, “the largest international response in the history of the CDC.”

He didn’t make clear if their job would be to shoot the virus wherever it reared its ugly head, or to shoot any poor hapless African suspected of having Ebola. Little does it matter that the US military doesn’t have anywhere near 3,000 troops with the slightest training in public health.

Before we all panic and line up to receive the millions of doses of untested and reportedly highly dangerous “Ebola vaccines” the major drug-makers are preparing to dump on the market, some peculiarities of this Ebola outbreak in Africa are worth noting.

Certified Ebola Deaths?

The World Health Organization, under the Director, Dr Margaret Chan, in a press conference on September 13, sounded the alarm, warning that Ebola in west Africa was surging out of control. “In the three hardest hit countries, Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone, the number of new patients is moving far faster than the capacity to manage them,” Chan claimed.





WHO claims that almost half of 301 health-care workers dealing with alleged Ebola patients have themselves died, and that 2,400 people out of 4,784 cases in Africa have died of Ebola. On August 8, Chan declared the African Ebola situation a “Public Health Emergency of International Concern,” whatever that is supposed to mean.

A major problem for Chan and her backers, however, is that her Ebola statistics are very, very dubious.

Public health experts are saying that these refusals to have their children vaccinated (at a rate of half as often than just 7 years ago) is contributing to the re-emergence of measles across the state, and may lead to serious outbreaks of ‘other diseases.’ But this is nothing more than scare-mongering and the typical line of vaccination-pushers.

Actually, there are numerous studies which show that un-vaccinated children are far healthier than their vaccinated peers.

Findings uncovered during one study looking at New Zealand’s children found that:

“. . . 92 percent of the children requiring a tonsillectomy operation had received the measles vaccination, indicating that the vaccination for measles may have made some of the children more susceptible to tonsillitis.”

The percentage of kindergartens in which at least 8% of students are not fully vaccinated because of personal beliefs has more than doubled as well, according to data on file with the state.

Health officials are not pleased with this trend since they believe in herd immunity, and since according to ‘experts,’ measles and whooping cough need at least 92% of kids immunized. The CDC is a big pusher of herd immunity, but as a direct result of vaccinations, mucosal immunity in children is very weak. This leads to more than one million children having to have tubes put in their ears every year due to Otitis Media or “glue ear.” It is a buildup of water in the ear, which requires this invasive medical procedure.

Despite herd immunity propaganda, there is no system of the human being, from mind to muscles to immune system, which gets stronger through avoiding challenges, but only through overcoming challenges.

Furthermore, it is a lie that disease will spread without vaccinations at a 95% rate. In truth, most states fail to meet the CDC’s goals of extending basic immunizations to 80% (not 95%) of children. Rates ran as low as 65% in Colorado in years past, and as low as 75% in Florida. This did not cause a sudden epidemic of measles, or flu, or whooping cough. Some experts suggest that herd immunity is a myth created by those who might profit from it,. It looks like many Californian parents agree, or at least are wary of vaccines in general.

“Five days a week, [children are] in their small classroom,” said Shannon Stokley, an epidemiologist at the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases, part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. “That’s the perfect conditions for spreading germs and spreading infections.”

What Stokley seems to disregard are the numerous other factors which can contribute to outbreaks.

Barbara Loe Fisher, president of the National Vaccine Information Centre, a consumer’s group based in Virginia, argues that vaccines are responsible for the increasing numbers of children and adults who suffer from immune system and neurologic disorders, hyperactivity, learning disabilities, asthma, chronic fatigue syndrome, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, and seizure disorders. She believes more studies to monitor the long-term effects of mass vaccination should be conducted. She wants physicians to be absolutely sure these vaccines are safe and not harming people.

Neil Z. Miller, vaccine investigator, points to the polio vaccine as an example. It is now responsible for every new polio case in the U.S.

Holly Blumhardt and her husband, Shannon, are part of a growing minority in Orange County and other affluent areas across the county: They do not vaccinate their children. She says:

“It is part of a larger philosophy. I think that we are very aware, from the foods that we eat, like being more organic, non-GMO . . . We just want to have the healthiest family that we can.”

California immunization rates have been dropping since the 1980s, but the recent drop in the past 7 years is a convenient excuse for health officials to claim for a disease that could have been caused by super bugs, environmental conditions like drought, and any number of other mitigating factors.

The trend is especially pronounced in Orange County, where the proportion of kindergartners with their full shots fell from 92.9% in 2003 to 89.3% in 2012, predominantly in the county’s wealthy beachfront communities. The county is also battling the state’s largest measles outbreak in recent memory: 22 cases.

The CDC blames anti-vaxers for the recent outbreak. Assistant surgeon general Dr. Anne Schuchat says:

“The current increase in measles cases is being driven by unvaccinated people, primarily U.S. residents, who got measles in other countries, brought the virus back to the United States and spread to others in communities where many people are not vaccinated.”

Within the report, however, was an admittance that unvaccinated missionaries returning from the Philippines were included in their data, where a measles outbreak of 20,000 reported cases resulted in 50 deaths.

“90 percent of all measles cases in the United States were in people who were not vaccinated or whose vaccination status was unknown. Among the U.S. residents who were not vaccinated, 85 percent were religious, philosophical or personal reasons.”

Even high antibody titers in people only convey a 68% chance of protecting against or delaying clinically manifest measles. In Africa, vaccination with the MMR-vaccine has reduced the diseases vaccinated against, but has doubled mortality rates in infants after a single dose.

California state law requires kindergartners to be vaccinated against measles, pertussis (whooping cough), polio, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, chicken pox, diphtheria and tetanus.

Parents who claim immunization is against their personal beliefs can get exemptions. Some parents opt out of all the mandatory shots, while others allow students to get select vaccinations. There are also temporary and medical exemptions available.

The moment of truth draws near. We will, or we will not be. The choice is ours to make and if we do not decide then someone else will decide for us. My choice is made!! I won’t back down!!

Not all will make it through this darkness and there is no question that for some this is a terrible fright; and I pray that those who have no fear will be strong enough to protect each and every one of you. Not everyone can be courageous! It will take all kinds!

We have been fighting amongst ourselves which surely must bring a smile to our enemies. Then again, are we fighting amongst ourselves or is it they are also the enemy?

My read on the entire matter is that we must move forward, steadily, step by step; until we reach the doors that until now have been closed to us.

Once opened, then and only then, will we be aware of what has really happened to our forefathers, fathers, families and so on. We will see with eyes wide open what needs to be done to take care of the matters that confront us, in order to prevent this abomination from continuing forward or happening again.

Our children, grandchildren, grandparents and friends throughout this world depend upon our opening those doors and confronting and defeating what lays behind them (if anything at all), no matter what – in order to save what is everyone’s planet (not just politicians and bankers etc).

Once confronted, we must chop the head off the beast, bring it home, and wait for everything to come tumbling down! We already know who the beast is – or who they are.

Yes, it can be scary and I do not expect everyone to make it through, but enough of us will in order to ensure that our families and friends can continue on in this journey called life. I wish you all safety.

All the data gathered by the cameras will be processed by HP cloud servers based in Palo Alto, California.

Auckland Transport's Chief Information Officer Roger Jones is quoted by HP as saying: "The safety and well-being of our citizens is always our top priority and the Future Cities initiative is a big step in the right direction".

"Only HP could comprehensively deliver the custom solution, expertise and ecosystem at this scale to transform our vision into reality."

The vast amount of data including text, images, audio and real-time video will be analysed by HP's system.

"The system will leverage data from a variety of sources, including thousands of security and traffic management cameras, a vast network of road and environmental sensors as well as real-time social media and news feeds," HP said. "We are proud to work with such an innovative and forward-thinking government agency like Auckland Transport," HP's Big Data group manager Colin Mahony said.

An Auckland Transport spokesman said there were currently five video systems and this move would consolidate things into one processing system.

"We are not installing new cameras, this is a back end system for the approximately 800 cameras we have access to covering intersections, railway and busway stations." "The system will be used to monitor traffic flows, vandalism and safety. We will not be using any capability which identifies faces or number plates."

He said Auckland Transport was in ongoing discussions with the Privacy Commissioner and would not proceed until all protocols had been signed off on.

Auckland Council's memorandum of understanding, which was used to create the contract, provides draft "Surveillance Principles".

It refers to live feeds and says these should be trained on "specific crime and safety hot-spots", traffic management areas and real-time matters being investigated or responded to by police.

The system... "should not be used for surveillance or monitoring of specific individuals (whether or not identifiable by name, and whether not facilitated by supporting technology) except in respect of specific criminal acts or organised crime or other reasonably suspected criminal behaviour (including terrorism) on the basis of such evidence or reasonable suspicion of criminal offending," ... the principles state..

Police are also told they should not provide access to the data to any other agencies in New Zealand or abroad except where that complies in all respects with the terms of these surveillance principles and New Zealand law.

All lies. All avoidances.

A child gets a vaccine. The child suffers brain damage. That happens.

In general, how much damage do vaccines cause every year in the US? Unsurprisingly, there is no reliable count.

Fisher: “But how many children have [adverse] vaccine reactions every year? Is it really only one in 110,000 or one in a million who are left permanently disabled after vaccination?"

Former FDA Commissioner David Kessler observed in 1993 that less than 1 percent of doctors report adverse events following prescription drug use. [See DA Kessler, “Introducing MEDWatch,” JAMA, June 2, 1993: 2765-2768]

“There have been estimates that perhaps less than 5 or 10 percent of doctors report hospitalizations, injuries, deaths, or other serious health problems following vaccination. The 1986 Vaccine Injury Act contained no legal sanctions for not reporting; doctors can refuse to report and suffer no consequences.

“Even so, each year about 12,000 reports are made to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System; parents as well as doctors can make those reports."

Then why does the government say, over and over, that vaccines are safe?

Because they want to lie. What about all the studies that show this vaccine and that vaccine are safe?

The term: The Washington Consensus, stands for the consensus over a series of points the global final elite has been pursuing since the mid eighties and which they hope will culminate in corporate global control with trade agreements such as the TPPA and the TTIP (The Atlantic side of the treaty).

It is what is at the base of the entire NeoCon / Neoliberal coup we have been witnessing over the last 30 years and to which the NZ Labour party delivered us in the eighties and according to which National will deliver the final blow to this country if we let them sign the TPPA.

The term was coined first in 1989 By economist John Williamson, an economist from the Institute for International Economics who compiled the following 10 points.

1. Fiscal policy discipline, with avoidance of large fiscal deficits relative to GDP;
2. Redirection of public spending from subsidies (“especially indiscriminate subsidies”) toward broad-based provision of key pro-growth, pro-poor services like primary education, primary health care and infrastructure investment;
3. Tax reform, broadening the tax base and adopting moderate marginal tax rates;
4. Interest rates that are market determined and positive (but moderate) in real terms;
5. Competitive exchange rates;
6. Trade liberalization: liberalization of imports, with particular emphasis on elimination of quantitative restrictions (licensing, etc.); any trade protection to be provided by low and relatively uniform tariffs;
7. Liberalization of inward foreign direct investment;
8. Privatization of state enterprises;
9. Deregulation: abolition of regulations that impede market entry or restrict competition, except for those justified on safety, environmental and consumer protection grounds, and prudential oversight of financial institutions;
10. Legal security for property rights.

I will not go into the analysis of the list today but I will go into the points one by one over the next 10 days to help connect them to the TPPA and it’s over reaching powers which will disable every democratic tool we, as a people, have at our disposal to make this a country for us and not for international corporations.

The public fell for the lie that Saddam Hussein in Iraq had “weapons of mass destruction” that were a threat to America and that if the US did not invade Iraq Americans risked a “mushroom cloud going up over an American city.” With the rise of ISIS, this long war apparently is far from over.

Billions of dollars more in profits will pour into the coffers of the US military security complex as Washington fights those who are redrawing the false Middle East boundaries created by the British and French after WW I when the British and French seized territories of the former Ottoman Empire.

The American public fell for the lies told about Gaddafi in Libya. The formerly stable and prosperous country is now in chaos.

The American public fell for the lie that Iran has, or is building, nuclear weapons. Sanctioned and reviled by the West, Iran has shifted toward an Eastern orientation, thereby removing a principal oil producer from Western influence.

The public fell for the lie that Assad of Syria used “chemical weapons against his own people.” The jihadists that Washington sent to overthrow Assad have turned out to be, according to Washington’s propaganda, a threat to America.

The greatest threat to the world is Washington’s insistence on its hegemony. The ideology of a handful of neoconservatives is the basis for this insistence. We face the situation in which a handful of American neoconservative psychopaths claim to determine the fate of countries.

Many still believe Washington’s lies, but increasingly the world sees Washington as the greatest threat to peace and life on earth. The claim that America is “exceptional and indispensable” is used to justify Washington’s right to dictate to other countries.

The casualties of Washington’s bombings are invariably civilians, and the deaths will produce more recruits for ISIS.
Already there are calls for Washington to reintroduce “boots on the ground” in Iraq. Otherwise, Western civilization is doomed, and our heads will be cut off. The newly created propaganda of a “Russian threat” requires more NATO spending and more military bases on Russia’s borders. A “quick reaction force” is being created to respond to a nonexistent threat of a Russian invasion of the Baltics, Poland, and Europe.

Usually it takes the American public a year, or two, three, or four to realize that it has been deceived by lies and propaganda, but by that time the public has swallowed a new set of lies and propaganda and is all concerned about the latest “threat.” The American public seems incapable of understanding that just as the first, second, third, fourth, and fifth, threat was a hoax, so is the sixth threat, and so will be the seventh, eighth, and ninth.

Moreover, none of these American military attacks on other countries has resulted in a better situation, as Vladimir Putin honestly states. Yet, the public and its representatives in Congress support each new military adventure despite the record of deception and failure.

Perhaps if Americans were taught their true history in place of idealistic fairy tales, they would be less gullible and less susceptible to government propaganda.

I have recommended Oliver Stone and Peter Kuznick’s The The Untold History of the United States, Howard Zinn’s A People’s History of the United States, and now I recommend Stephen Kinzer’s The Brothers, the story of the long rule of John Foster and Allen Dulles over the State Department and CIA and their demonization of reformist governments that they often succeeded in overthrowing. Kinzer’s history of the Dulles brothers’ plots to overthrow six governments provides insight into how Washington operates today.

How Do Microwaves Work?

Microwaves use super-fast particles to literally radiate the contents of water inside food and bring it to boil.

Microwaves are a source of electromagnetic energy (a form of nonionizing form of radiation) electronically generated. When penetrating the aliments, they trigger an inner rotation of the water molecules inside the food. This rotation triggers a friction between the molecules and the result is a rapid growth in temperature.

Microwaves use super-fast particles to literally radiate the contents of water inside food and bring it to boil. Not only has microwave use been linked to causing infertility in men, but it also denatures many of the essential proteins in the food making them virtually indigestible. Most animals will only consume food in its natural, unprocessed state, but humans actually go out of their way to render food nutritionally worthless before eating it. Think about all the prepackaged and processed foods we purchase and consume annually. It's no wonder the state of our health is in dire straits.

Microwave ovens work physically, biochemically and physiologically, producing ions and various free radicals, which destroy viruses and bacteria, but not toxins and microtoxins. The experts have concluded that food cooked in microwaves loses between 60% and 90% of its vital energy and, at the same time, the structural disintegration processes accelerates.

Also, the nutrient substances are altered, leading to digestive diseases. These microwaves can increase both the number of cancerous cells in blood and the number of stomach and intestinal cancerous cells.

Radiation Exposure

Microwaves leaking radiation is a serious issue. Serious enough for the FDA to set legal limits on the leakage permitted by every microwave manufacturer. However, the only way to completely eliminate the radiation dangers associated with microwaves is not to use one. Microwave radiation has been known to cause cataracts, birth defects, cancer and other serious illnesses.

Because of these causes the microwave ovens were banned in the Soviet Union in 1976. Soviet scientists found that the microwave exposure decreases the ability of some vitamins to by absorbed by the human body, dramatically accelerates the structural disintegration of all foods and reduces the metabolic stress of the alkaloids, glycosides and galactoses.

In 1991, the Swiss Doctor Hans Ulrich Hertel made a study that demonstrated that cooking or heating food presents much greater risks for health than the traditionally cooked food. He found that people who ate microwave prepared food recorded losses in the hemoglobines and lymphoites.

In 2003, a Spanish governmental study elaborated in Murcia demonstrated that the vegetables and fruits cooked in a microwave lost a percentage of 97% of the substances that contribute to reducing the incidence of coronary heart diseases.

In Dr. Lita Lee’s book, Health Effects of Microwave Radiation — Microwave Ovens, and in the March and September 1991 issues of Earthletter, she stated that every microwave oven leaks electro-magnetic radiation, harms food, and converts substances cooked in it to dangerous organ-toxic and carcinogenic products.

In a study entitled ‘Comparative Study of Food Prepared Conventionally and in the Microwave Oven’, published by Raum & Zelt in 1992, at 3(2): 43, it states:

"Artificially produced microwaves, including those in ovens, are produced from alternating current and force a billion or more polarity reversals per second in every food molecule they hit. Production of unnatural molecules is inevitable. Naturally occurring amino acids have been observed to undergo isomeric changes (changes in shape morphing) as well as transformation into toxic forms, under the impact of microwaves produced in ovens.”

There are no atoms, molecules or cells of any organic system able to withstand such a violent, destructive power for any extended period of time, not even in the low energy range of milliwatts. Microwaves quickly destroy the delicate molecules of vitamins and phytonutrients (plant medicines) naturally found in foods. One study showed that microwaving vegetables destroys up to 97% of the nutritional content (vitamins and other plant-based nutrients that prevent disease, boost immune function and enhance health).

Dr. Hertel was the first scientist to conceive and carry out a quality clinical study on the effects microwaved nutrients have on the blood and physiology of the human body. His small but well controlled study showed the degenerative force produced in microwave ovens and the food processed in them.

The scientific conclusion showed that microwave cooking changed the nutrients in the food; and, changes took place in the participants’ blood that could cause deterioration in the human system. Hertel’s scientific study was done along with Dr. Bernard H. Blanc of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology and the University Institute for Biochemistry.


12 Effects of Microwave Radiation

1. A breakdown of the human “life-energy field” in those who were exposed to microwave ovens while in operation, with side-effects to the human energy field of increasingly longer duration;

2. A degeneration of the cellular voltage parallels during the process of using the apparatus, especially in the blood and lymphatic areas;

3. A degeneration and destabilization of the external energy activated potentials of food utilization within the processes of human metabolism;

4. A degeneration and destabilization of internal cellular membrane potentials while transferring catabolic [metabolic breakdown] processes into the blood serum from the digestive process;

5. Degeneration and circuit breakdowns of electrical nerve impulses within the junction potentials of the cerebrum [the front portion of the brain where thought and higher functions reside];

6. A degeneration and breakdown of nerve electrical circuits and loss of energy field symmetry in the neuroplexuses [nerve centers] both in the front and the rear of the central and autonomic nervous systems;

7. Loss of balance and circuiting of the bioelectric strengths within the ascending reticular activating system [the system which controls the function of consciousness];

8. A long term cumulative loss of vital energies within humans, animals and plants that were located within a 500-meter radius of the operational equipment;

9. Long lasting residual effects of magnetic “deposits” were located throughout the nervous system and lymphatic system;

10. A destabilization and interruption in the production of hormones and maintenance of hormonal balance in males and females;

11. Markedly higher levels of brainwave disturbance in the alpha, theta, and delta wave signal patterns of persons exposed to microwave emission fields, and;

12. Because of this brainwave disturbance, negative psychological effects were noted, including loss of memory, loss of ability to concentrate, suppressed emotional threshold, deceleration of intellective processes, and interruptive sleep episodes in a statistically higher percentage of individuals subjected to continual range emissive field effects of microwave apparatus, either in cooking apparatus or in transmission stations.

Take a look around you at every person that still uses a microwave. The largest majority are unhealthy and overweight. The more you use the microwave, the worse your nutritional state gets, and the more likely you are to be diagnosed with various diseases and put on pharmaceuticals which, of course, will create other health problems that lead to a grand spiraling nosedive of health.

Of all the natural substances -- which are polar -- the oxygen of water molecules reacts most sensitively. This is how microwave cooking heat is generated -- friction from this violence in water molecules. Structures of molecules are torn apart, molecules are forcefully deformed, called structural isomerism, and thus become impaired in quality. This is contrary to conventional heating of food where heat transfers convectionally from without to within. Cooking by microwaves begins within the cells and molecules where water is present and where the energy is transformed into frictional heat.

The following is a summary of the Russian investigations published by the Atlantis Raising Educational Center in Portland, Oregon:

Microwaving prepared meats sufficiently to insure sanitary ingestion caused formation of d-Nitrosodienthanolamines, a well-known carcinogen.

Microwaving milk and cereal grains converted some of their amino acids into carcinogens.

Thawing frozen fruits converted their glucoside and galactoside containing fractions into carcinogenic substances.

Extremely short exposure of raw, cooked or frozen vegetables converted their plant alkaloids into carcinogens.

Carcinogenic free radicals were formed in microwaved plants, especially root vegetables.

Russian researchers also reported a marked acceleration of structural degradation leading to a decreased food value of 60 to 90% in all foods tested. Among the changes observed were:

Deceased bio-availability of vitamin B complex, vitamin C, vitamin E, essential minerals and lipotropics factors in all food tested.

Various kinds of damaged to many plant substances, such as alkaloids, glucosides, galactosides and nitrilosides.

According to Dr. Lee, changes are observed in the blood chemistries and the rates of certain diseases among consumers of microwaved foods. The symptoms above can easily be caused by the observations shown below.


The following is a sample of these changes:

a.. Lymphatic disorders were observed, leading to decreased ability to prevent certain types of cancers.

b.. An increased rate of cancer cell formation was observed in the blood.

c.. Increased rates of stomach and intestinal cancers were observed.

d.. Higher rates of digestive disorders and a gradual breakdown of the systems of elimination were observed.

Decrease in Food Value

Microwave exposure caused significant decreases in the nutritive value of all foods researched. The following are the most important findings:

1. A decrease in the bioavailability [capability of the body to utilize the nutriment] of B-complex vitamins, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, essential minerals and lipotropics in all foods;

2. A loss of 60-90% of the vital energy field content of all tested foods;

3. A reduction in the metabolic behavior and integration process capability of alkaloids [organic nitrogen based elements], glucosides and galactosides, and nitrilosides;

4. A destruction of the nutritive value of nucleoproteins in meats;

5. A marked acceleration of structural disintegration in all foods.

How Do You Heat Your Food The Healthy Way?

This is kind of a misnomer because there is truthfully, with perhaps the exception of dehydration, no way to heat food and maintain its structural and nutritional value. However, gently heating food in a cast iron pan over the stove may be the healthiest alternative to nuking it. This is the old fashioned way and it never failed our ancestors.

Toss that microwave and strive to consume at least half of your diet from raw foods, that is a huge step in the right direction to maintain their nutritional value. My mother always used to tell me that if food comes from a package, or has to be heated to be eaten, there's a good a chance it's low in nutrition. She was right for the most part, so keep that in mind when venturing the aisles at the grocery.

#1 There were very few stories on the Ede - Slater link, yet I considered it to be the most damning point in your book. Do you think Media are complicit or colluding in ignoring the main thrust of the book? Most stories focused on stories around the periphery of the corruption you uncovered

Reply: I also considered that the prime minister's office/Ede/Slater links were an important part of the book. This is the subject that John Key and National tried hardest to avoid answering questions about and the country saw them refusing to answer questions about it despite lots of journalists trying.

So I didn't feel the media as a whole tried to ignore this. I think many news organisations did there best. If the people responsible won't front up and repeatedly won't answer questions, there's nothing much that can be done... apart from remembering and reminding the public in future about how they acted.



#2 What gives you the moral right to select only your political opponents for attack mostly by inference in Dirty Politics and then complain selectively about their moral conduct? And don't pretend they weren't your political opponents.

Reply: I would write exactly the same book about Labour or another party if they were running dirty tricks campaigns, systematically smearing their opponents in underhand ways or abusing government power. In fact, as you will know, I have done that in the past about Labour on what I saw as an abuse of power.

#4 Both your Dirty Politics book and Kim Dotcom's Moment of Truth event were about exposing corrupt systems within the Government, yet New Zealanders chose to dismiss these truths and elect National back into power for a 3rd term.

How do you feel towards the perception that the release of your book and the MOT event may have harmed the campaigns for the Left coined as "attack politics"? What could have been done differently to get the message out to initiate positive change related to these 2 significant topics? Different timing?

Reply: I think my book and the September 20 Auckland Town Hall meeting were totally different sorts of things. The meeting was organised by a political party. No one in any political party even knew I had a book coming or what I was working on.

I think public comments that my book may have harmed some parties' campaigns is just wrong. The argument was that it 'took oxygen' from the issues, but there are no more important issues than integrity in politics. Besides, if I had left the book until after the election, I am certain there would have been continued attacks and smears via the Whale Oil blog and other outlets that would have distracted off other party policies far more. Publishing the book and exposing the orchestrated attack activities got in the way of planned attacks and cleared space for some real politics.

#5 What is in the "public interest" can be quite subjective. By publishing books like 'The Hollow Men' and 'Dirty Politics' aren't you encouraging people to use criminal methods (such as hacking, burglary, etc) against their political opponents?

Deterring crime is strongly in the public interest, so how did you (or did you at all) balance that interest against what you saw as the public interest in publishing stolen private data?

Reply: Daniel, if you read the book, you will see that I try very hard to be ethical in what I write. Leaking can only be justified when there are serious political issues at stake that are being hidden from the public. This was certainly a case of that. When National or ACT are in opposition, they are happy to receive leaks.

But of course no government likes it when the leak is exposing their own actions. If we had more transparency in our government, leaks would not be necessary, but currently they are sometimes essential. Having said this, I believe strongly in people's rights to privacy. In the book, there are secrets about government and corporate activities exposed but I was very careful not to trespass on Cameron Slater's or other people's personal privacy.

They were lucky that it was me, who cares about privacy, who decided what got put in the book and what was not.



#8 Do you consider Judith Collins a scalp? (You barely mentioned the SFO/Adam Feeley controversy in Dirty Politics).

Reply: I'm not really into scalps. I was pleased to be able to show the public how unsuitable she is to be a Minister of Justice or a leader. Everyone has a right to know what their politicians are really like, not just how they want to spin themselves. However, I do think it was ridiculous when, after weeks of clear opinion polls and growing pressure for her to resign, John Key pretended that her departure had nothing to do with the book.

#9 What does Nicky think about Jason Ede's resignation from the National Party yesterday, and are his sources inside the National Party confident that there will be no further "dirty tricks" played to destabilise the Party leader and other leadership aspirants?

Reply: Like Judith Collins' departure, there is no doubt that Ede was hidden during the election campaign and then had to depart because of what the book revealed. However, he was only an employee. His managers and John Key will have known what he was doing. So it seems to me that Ede is being sent on his way so that the rest of them can try to avoid accountability for their collective strategies and actions.

#10 Have the 'moderate conservatives' inside the National Party (who Mr Hager claims as sources or tipsters for two of his books on the Party) won, and do they have clean hands?

Reply: I got support from people I described as moderate conservatives for my book The Hollow Men. Some of those people felt that, with Don Brash as leader, their party had been hijacked by the ACT party. They provided good evidence of this. Since then, Brash went on to be leader of the ACT Party, which was consistent with their concerns and what I had written in that book.

This recent book, as you'll know, had completely different sources. I talked to some National Party people during the research, but the heart of the story was the leaked Cameron Slater documents.

#11 Dotcom's "Moment of Truth" event - a useful complement to Dirty Politics, or an evidence-free three-ring circus that distracted from Dirty Politics, sparked a backlash that helped National get back with an increased majority?

Reply: As I wrote above, I think the 'Moment of Truth' was a completely different sort of thing to my book. I think that the surveillance issues raised there are important, but I wouldn't have personally timed them five days before the election in a political party event.



#13 National and John Key are back in power, with an increased majority. Do you think your book had any impact, or did it in fact galvanise National supporters?

Reply: I am very happy about the impact that my book has had and, I think, will continue to have. But this is not about votes on election day. I think National (and other parties) will be very careful not to be caught again involved in manufactured smears and personal attacks on the Whale Oil blog and elsewhere.

I think the National government will be much mor e careful about using official information for political purposes and other abuses of power. Generally, I hope that people across the political spectrum will think harder about their ethics and what is and isn't fair game in politics.

I feel optimistic about these things. When my book came out, John Key and National were shocked and very concerned that they could lose the election. I believe this will have a positive effect on how they are prepared to act in future. And this is ultimately the point of transparency (including transparency through leaking).

If political people think they can get away with being tricky, and will never be caught out, it is more tempting to act that way. But if they know it might blow up in their faces, they are more likely to only do things they wouldn't mind seeing in the news. This is better for the whole country.

#19 Rawshark/Whaledump released an email exchange in which Cathy Odgers/Cactus Kate. Cactus suggested revealing your home address (which was duly posted on Whaleoil) and wrote stuff like "Those Chinese can be very vicious when they lose face ... Chop chop for Nicky."

Do you fear for your safety, or do you think it was just "pub talk" as Cactus etc claim?

Reply: By the time I found the "chop chop for Nicky" e-mail and Slater giving her my home address, it was many months later. Obviously the Chinese mafia had not turned up at my door in the intervening months and I wasn't worried. I think it showed a nastiness of character (why deliberately pass around my address and post it on the Internet?) but I didn't take it as plan to have me done in.



#21 I think more information is almost always better, and it was useful to have a light shone on some of the murkier goings on in the Beehive. But are you willing to concede you made a couple of mistakes.

On a minor level (looking at page 20 of Dirty Politics, I've previously worked with John Key's ex-head of digital Francis Till, and I can confirm he is in fact a he, not a Ms. And David Farrar has strenuously denied organising a Young Nats "princess party".

He's also argued he's always been up front about his National Party affiliation. (Although he did also introduce new disclosure rules for Kiwiblog and apply to be covered by a media regulator. In hindsight, do you think you were a little rough on Farrar?

Reply: It is virtually impossible to write a whole book, with hundreds of source documents, footnotes etc, and not have some errors.

I'm only human and I am relieved that I got nothing substantial wrong. In the case of Francis Till, I was quickly informed about his correct gender and it was changed in all the subsequent printings of the book.

On David Farrar organising a princess party, some of his close mates said in writing that he organised it but there can easily be different views about something like that.

On the more important point of whether David Farrar has been up front about his political roles, I totally stand by what I put in the book. Farrar is the chief pollster for the National Party, briefing the prime minister virtually every day during an election campaign, and then he felt alright being a commentator on the elections without declaring this. That is really not good enough.

Just saying that he is a National Party member doesn't even begin to explain his central role in elections and National's management of issues. It would be like me writing a book about politics and then people finding out that I earn most of my living from some of the people I'm writing about.

I don't think I was rough on him at all. I think as a nation we need to do better at having genuinely independent commentators and I think political participants such as Farrar owe it to the public to be open about the roles he plays.

#22 Have you been Interveiwed by the NZ Police in relation to the hacking of Cameron Slaters Email?

Lest we forget, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, have been financing and training the ISIL terrorists on behalf of the United States. Israel is harboring the Islamic State (ISIL) in the Golan Heights, NATO in liaison with the Turkish high command has since March 2011 been involved in coordinating the recruitment of the jihadist fighters dispatched to Syria. Moreover, the ISIL brigades in both Syria and Iraq are integrated by Western special forces and military advisers.

All this is known and documented, yet not a single head of state or head of government has had the courage to point to the absurdity of the US sponsored United Nations Security Council resolution, which was adopted unanimously on September 24.

“Absurdity” is an understatement. What we are witnessing is a criminal undertaking under UN auspices.

While international diplomacy is often based on deception, US foreign policy lies are no longer credible. What we are witnessing is a total breakdown of established diplomatic practice. The “Forbidden Truth” is that the Islamic State is an instrument of Washington, a US ” intelligence asset”. ISIL is not an independent entity, nor is it an “outside enemy” which threatens global security, as conveyed by the Western media.

While everybody knows this, the big lie prevails. The Lie becomes the Truth.

The United Nations Security Council resolution calls upon member states to “suppress the recruiting, organizing, transporting, equipping” and financing of foreign terrorist fighters,” Specifically, the resolution points to the “the particular and urgent need to implement this resolution with respect to those foreign terrorist fighters who are associated with ISIL [Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant], ANF [Al-Nusrah Front] and other cells, affiliates, splinter groups or derivatives of Al-Qaida…” But are these not precisely the “opposition freedom fighters” trained and recruited by the Western military alliance in their quest to unseat the government of Bashar Al Assad?

Political leaders present at the UN Security Council session applauded the US counter-terrorism initiative. France’s President Francois Hollande pointed to the fact that:

"terrorism has taken on another dimension, and it wants to conquer territory now.”

Several US allies including Jordan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar which are currently involved in supporting ISIL and Al Nusrah are now involved in the US sponsored air raids allegedly targeted against the ISIL inside Syria.

Turkey and Jordan have borders with Syria. Saudi Arabia and Turkey have borders with Iraq. The direct military involvement of these countries points to a scenario of escalation and sectarian warfare extending from the Mediterranean to Central Asia.

In this regard, Turkey has already announced that it will be involved in ground operations inside Syria and Iraq. The newly-elected Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu announced (a day prior to the UN Security Council meeting) that his government will be seeking the endorsement of the Turkish Parliament to intervene militarily in both Iraq and Syria.

What is at stake is a so-called “no fly zone” in disguise, a justification to bomb Iraq and Syria under a counter-terrorism mandate, largely targeting the civilian population. The political architects of the Islamic State including president Obama, prime minister Cameron and their counterparts in France, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, et al, are now waging a military campaign against the Islamic State, which they themselves created. Boots on the ground are also contemplated. According to Iraqi government sources, the US will be deploying sending ome 13,000 troops to Iraq.

The leaders of western countries are either utterly ignorant and stupid, or totally corrupt and complicit? “The Terrorists R US.” Moreover, they seem totally unaware of the broad implications of their actions.

War propaganda is a criminal act under Nuremberg: Crime against the Peace. By upholding the lies and fabrications of US foreign policy, the mainstream media is complicit in war crimes.

Britain’s Prime Minister David Cameron is to bring the matter to the British parliament. The revocation of citizenship is contemplated in Britain as well as in Canada for those suspected of supporting the jihadist movement. While Britain’s Prime minister has called upon Her Majesty’s government:

"to restrict or rescind the passports of British jihadists … Home Secretary Theresa May has threatened to deprive those Britons already fighting with the Islamic State of their citizenship.”

Ironically, Prime Minister Cameron is complicit in facilitating and organizing within the UK the recruitment of British jihadists. And indeed one might suggest, pending the formulation of criminal charges, that his passport should be revoked for “supporting the jihadist movement”.

The forbidden truth is that the US is involved in a diabolical undertaking: it has created an Islamic terror network with a view to destroying sovereign countries and now it is waging a war against its own terror network. The US president and his indefectible British ally “R the Terrorists”, they are the “state sponsors of terrorism”, with a view to waging a war of conquest. The United Nations is complicit in this undertaking.

Come on girls, this is 2014 not 1924. Granny pants are out, bikinis are in, and hey, it seems no public personality is without groupies. Because Denise and Jean are very obviously not happy or young, they feebly attempt to try to condemn those who are.

The reality is that we are all being killed off by the hands of the cabal every single day. We see the chemtrails in our skies every day. We know the deadly effects of their man-made viruses and lethal vaccines. We know that the GMO foods are poison to our bodies. They are trying to eliminate us without them having to dirty their own filthy hands. This is the fight we must bring to them!

To do this we have to wake up and acknowledge what is going on. We have to open our eyes and those of our children, our family, our friends and those that would be our friends. All of our lives are at stake here.

Even translated into English, the letter will still sound alien to most Americans, said Nihad Awad, executive director of the Council of American-Islamic Relations, who released it in Washington with 10 other American Muslim religious and civil rights leaders.

"The letter is written in Arabic. It is using heavy classical religious texts and classical religious scholars that ISIS has used to mobilize young people to join its forces,” said Awad, using one of the acronyms for the group. “This letter is not meant for a liberal audience.”

Even mainstream Muslims, he said, may find it difficult to understand.

Awad said its aim is to offer a comprehensive Islamic refutation, “point-by-point,” to the philosophy of the Islamic State and the violence it has perpetrated. The letter’s authors include well-known religious and scholarly figures in the Muslim world, including Sheikh Shawqi Allam, the grand mufti of Egypt, and Sheikh Muhammad Ahmad Hussein, the mufti of Jerusalem and All Palestine.

A translated 24-point summary of the letter includes the following: “It is forbidden in Islam to torture”; “It is forbidden in Islam to attribute evil acts to God”; and “It is forbidden in Islam to declare people non-Muslims until he (or she) openly declares disbelief.”

This is not the first time Muslim leaders have joined to condemn the Islamic State. The chairman of the Central Council of Muslims in Germany, Aiman Mazyek, for example, last week told the nation’s Muslims that they should speak out against the “terrorist and murderers” who fight for the Islamic State and who have dragged Islam “through the mud.”

But the Muslim leaders who endorsed Wednesday’s letter called it an unprecedented refutation of the Islamic State ideology from a collaboration of religious scholars. It is addressed to the group’s self-anointed leader, Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi, and “the fighters and followers of the self-declared ‘Islamic State.’”

But the words “Islamic State” are in quotes, and the Muslim leaders who released the letter asked people to stop using the term, arguing that it plays into the group’s unfounded logic that it is protecting Muslim lands from non-Muslims and is resurrecting the caliphate — a state governed by a Muslim leader that once controlled vast swaths of the Middle East.

Ahmed Bedier, a Muslim and the president of United Voices of America, a nonprofit that encourages minority groups to engage in civic life said:

“the group known as ISIL” - in his speech to the United Nations earlier Wednesday. In that speech, Obama also disconnected the group from Islam.

Comment: Then Perhaps Mr Obama should stop funding it.

The “disposition matrix” will be used to determine how a terrorist suspect is to be “disposed of” by the United States. This might include indefinite detention, or prosecution in a real court. In some cases it can and will include assassination-by-drone, or by the CIA. In any case, this “disposition matrix” was said to be needed a full 12 years after the attacks on 9/11 which were used as the original justification for this endless “War on Terror.”

"Among senior Obama administration officials, there is a broad consensus that such operations are likely to be extended at least another decade. Given the way al-Qaida continues to metastasize, some officials said no clear end is in sight. . . . That timeline suggests that the United Stateshas reached only the midpoint of what was once known as the global war on terrorism.”

The former reporter for Wired, Spencer Ackerman, now the Guardian US’s national security editor, said “asked at a Senate hearing today how long the war on terrorism will last, Michael Sheehan, the assistant secretary of defense for special operations and low-intensity conflict, answered, ‘At least 10 to 20 years.’ . . . A spokeswoman, Army Col. Anne Edgecomb, clarified that Sheehan meant the conflict is likely to last 10 to 20 more years from today – atop the 12 years that the conflict has already lasted. Welcome to America’s Thirty Years War.”

Military historian Andrew Bacevich has warned for years that US policy planners now have an explicit doctrine of what he calls “endless war.”

The House voted 255-67 to hold Mr. Holder in criminal contempt in a vote that amounted to a political spanking for the attorney general and President Obama, underscored by the 17 Democrats who joined Republicans.

Holder already is one of the longest-serving members of the Obama Cabinet and ranks as the fourth-longest tenured AG in history.

You’re sitting in your favorite restaurant one balmy September morning. Your waitress brings a pot of coffee and a standard 5-ounce cup.

“Would you like cream and sugar with it?” she asks. You drink your coffee black. And hot. You decline her offer.

“Would you like arsenic with it?” she asks. Arsenic? You’re baffled. And more than a little suspicious.

“It enhances the flavor,” says your waitress. “I really don’t think I want arsenic,” you say, now wondering why she’s so cheerful. “It really does enhance the flavor—and there’s absolutely no harm in it,” she says. “But it’s arsenic!” you reply. “That’s rat poison. It can kill you.”

“Only in large doses,” she says. “I’ll add just 150 drops to your coffee. It tastes good and won’t harm you,” she says, still as cheery as ever. “But 150 drops is deadly!” you reply, looking around to see if you’re on “Candid Camera.” You’re not, and she’s serious.

“It’s really nothing,” she says, explaining that 150 drops, when mixed with five ounces of coffee is only 0.5 percent of the total. She explains that 99.5 percent of the coffee—about 2,800 drops—is still freshly-brewed coffee.

Ridiculous? Of course it’s ridiculous.

But the oil and gas industry want you to believe that 99.5 percent of all the fluids they shove into the earth to do horizontal fracturing, also known as fracking, is harmless. Just fresh river water. Move along. Nothing to see here.

As to the other half of one-percent? They tell you it’s just food products. Table salt. Guar gum (used in ice cream and baked goods). Lemon juice. Nothing to worry about, they assure you.

The Environmental Protection Agency, in 2013, identified about 1,000 chemicals that the oil and gas industry uses in fracking operations, most of them carcinogens at the strengths they shove into the earth. Depending upon the geology of the area and other factors, the driller uses a combination of fluids - perhaps a couple of dozen at one well, a different couple of dozen at another well.

But, because state legislatures have allowed the companies to invoke “trade secrets” protection, they don’t have to identify which chemicals and in what strengths they use at each well. Even health professionals and those in emergency management aren’t allowed to know the composition of the fluids—unless they sign non-disclosure statements. Patients and the public are still kept from the information.

What is known is that among the most common chemicals in fracking fluids, in addition to arsenic, are benzene, which can lead to leukemia and several cancers, reduce white blood cell production in bones, and cause genetic mutation; formaldehyde, which can cause leukemia and genetic and birth defects; hydrofluoric acid, which can cause genetic mutation and chronic lung disease, cause third degree burns, affect bone structure, the central nervous system, and cause cardiac arrest; nitrogen oxide and sulfur dioxide, which can cause pulmonary edema and heart disease; radon, which has strong links to lung cancer; and toluene, which in higher doses can produce nausea, muscle weakness, and memory and hearing loss.





Each well requires an average of three to eight million gallons of water for the first frack, depending upon the geology of the area. Energy companies drilling in the Pennsylvania part of the Marcellus Shale, the most productive of the nation’s shales, use an average of 4.0–5.6 million gallons of water per frack.

That’s only an average. Seneca Resources needed almost 19 million gallons of water to frack a well in northeastern Pennsylvania in 2012; Encana Oil & Gas USA used more than 21 million gallons of water to frack one well in Michigan the following year. A well may be fracked several times (known as “restimulation”), but most fracking after the first one is usually not economical.

After the water, chemicals, and proppants (usually about 10,000 tons of silica sand) are shoved deep into the earth, most have to be brought back up. Flowback water, also known as wastewater, contains not just chemicals and elements that went into the earth, but elements that were undisturbed in the earth until the fracking process had begun. Among the elements that are often present in the flowback water are Uranium-238, Thorium-232, and Radium, which decays into Radon, one of the most radioactive and toxic of all gases.

Wastewater is often stored in plastic-lined pits, some as large as an acre. These pits can leak, spilling the wastewater onto the ground and into streams. The waste water can also evaporate, eventually causing health problems of those living near the pits who can be exposed by inhaling the invisible toxic clouds or from absorbing it through their skin. In the eight years since drilling began in the Marcellus Shale, about 6.5 billion gallons of wastewater have been produced.

Many of the pits are now closed systems. But that doesn’t prevent health problems. Trucks pick up the wastewater and transport it to injection wells that can be several hundred miles away. At any point in that journey, there can be leaks, especially if the truck is involved in a highway accident.

Assuming there are no accidents or spills, the trucks will unload flowback water into injection pits, shoving the toxic waste back into the ground, disturbing the earth and leading to what geologists now identify as human-induced earthquakes.

Now, let’s go back to the industry’s claim of innocence—that 99.5 percent of all fluids shoved into the earth are completely harmless. Assuming only five million gallons of pure river water are necessary for one frack at one well, that means at least 25,000 gallons are toxic.

Would you like cream and sugar with that?

Like you I am a Toa Iwi or a foreignerin this country. I am a 58 year old Dutch women, like you almost 2 meters tall. I have been married to a Kiwi for the last 28 years and still going strong. Like you I ended up here under less than ideal circumstances in the hope of finding peace and safety.

And like you I have been a vocal opponent of John Key and I have had 8 years to hone my knowledge and research on the man but I came to come to the conclusion as far away back as March 2008 already, 8 months before he was elected the first time, that he was a fraudulent scumbag financed and send here by the international financial Mafia currently destroying our global economy and taking us to ever increasing unsustainable wars.

The revelations of Snowden, Greenwald and Amsterdam only served to cement that knowledge and did not surprise me in the least.

Where I differ from you is that since I have been in it for the long haul is in my expectations with regards to the behavior of the Kiwi voting population.

It wasn’t until and article appeared in the Boston Globe online on July 11, 2010 titled: How facts backfire that I began to understand what was happening. Next you raise the fear levels by raising the threat alert level. From green (low) to yellow, from yellow to orange and from orange to red (high) . Like in Australia just before the raids and just after Prime Minister Tony Abbott announced Australia would be sending troops

Next you target a group and conduct a raid to show the public you are in control, and that the spying has been a good thing because they caught some villains!

To complete the scaremongering you tell the public you really did prevent an attack and that they can now sleep safely in their beds again.

This happened numerous times in the US and the UK . In the UK there was a conviction rate of 13% with over 56% of the arrested not even being brought before a court. In the US most plots are aided and set up by the FBI according to this article in the Guardian.

Unlike someone I know, who stays in his house all day drawing comics and watchingSimpsons reruns, Banksy is a REAL artist who challenges the status quo, forces people to think and puts himself in danger, all while remaining a complete mystery to the world. I mean think about it, he’s one of the most famous artists on the planet, his work has been popping up in major cities for the past 10 years and sell for millions of dollars and no one knows who the hell this guy is! I take my hat off to the dude.

If you haven’t seen it, I recommend the documentary Banksy directed, Exit Through the Gift Shop. What was meant to be a film about Banksy instead turned into a movie about the man who was obsessed in trying to meet him. Although many have claimed that it’s a ‘mockumentary’ and the plot a set-up, it’s still a brilliant film. It not only documents the street art movement, it also deals with the meaning of art, and whether or not an artist actually needs any talent or can just survive on hype alone. Two thumbs up!

It names names. It lists reasons for the dissent.

Reality is engineered consensus. But when that doesn’t work, “experts” just assert there is a consensus when there isn’t.

Will Obama show up and read from the teleprompter, “The science is settled, the science is settled…”

Will a CIA drone zoom over Times Square and launch gluten-free electromagnetic love bombs on the adoring crowds?

Consensus on manmade global warming? Are you kidding?

And I want to keep them that way. I do not want to inject drugs into them before they can walk and talk- at 12 hours old; before I even know who they are. Are my children dirty? Are they walking germ-pools?

Are people with black skin dirty? Are homosexuals walking germ-pools, infecting us all with AIDs?

Of course not! These are stigmas- negative and unfair beliefs- that come from fear, misunderstanding, discrimination and inaccurate teachings. At one point in time, they are stigmas that much of society held. But just because the majority of society believes something doesn’t make it true.

Unvaccinated children are not walking around spreading disease simply because they’re unvaccinated. Our children are not dirty, and they are not a danger to society.

Power, Conspiracy And Future Choices: The Moment Of Truth's Real Significance

It is a rare thing, to be prescient of history as it happens. Surreal, confronting even. Frightening in its significance. That dull glimmer: a recognition of our connection to the very real decisions that shape our reality – and their tangible changeability.

No longer distinct from time, we are forced to concede our agency. History, like all other culture, is a product of us. It doesn’t happen to people; it is something people make happen – and in this is incredible power.

Our power.

The worm is turning. The revelations over the last few days feel like a crescendo, the crystallisation of what many of us have felt, but been unable to articulate. The centre cannot hold. We have grown too removed, our existence too precarious for the house of cards to maintain its shape.

There is disturbance; collapse beckons. Not a Hollywood implosion, but a slower, more insidious decay… social unrest, unravelling lies; climate change, energy scarcity and a weakening centralised infrastructure. How tight the fingers that grip onto the last vestiges of power.

The days of empire are passing; our reality is that of history in progress, the turning point. Put aside your views on Kim Dotcom (and the fact that he is as self-serving as any of the politicians he seeks to decry) and look deeper. What is it that his attempted extradition has uncovered?




This is not a political endorsement

Legal or no, there is no denying the cooperation with America required, nor the prevalence of their corporately drafted copyright law in our own statute books. And now: Snowden and Greenwald, Bob Armstrong on the TPPA – internationally renowned minds, casting doubt on the assurances of our government.

If you can look beyond the headlines – the lies, Dirty Politics, and mass surveillance – then something deeper emerges. The back room subjugation of New Zealand’s sovereignty by US corporate interests (not to mention the disregard for transparency, the rule of law, democratic accountability etc) is symptomatic of a pervasive malaise: that of separation and scarcity - the seeds of global capitalism and the concentrated power that when left unchecked inevitably corrupts, feeding self-serving behaviour to the detriment (and in denial of) the greater whole. It is a systemic failing – and we make the system.

This is why voting matters so much. Just like the nature we are part of, our existence occurs within a complex system - except, unlike nature, we have a choice as to the direction it takes. A vote against National won't solve New Zealand's problems (no single act will), but it is a step in the right direction: helping to change the political landscape and ensuring that our autonomy - our ability to determine our future, environmental or otherwise - is preserved.

Adherents will cry “but Labour would have done it too” – but they miss the point. Labour didn’t – and a vote for National is absolutely an endorsement of their behaviour.

Irrespective of what happens this Saturday, the Moment of Truth will be remembered in history as an instance of vindication – a demonstration of the power of conscience and the defiance of injustice. The actions of individuals such as Snowden are revolutionary for the machinations that they reveal – calling power to account and revealing the spin of those who seek to control for the propaganda that it is.

Even though it is scarcely mentioned, our lives are framed by the whole-system goal we serve. It’s the reason for the TPPA; it’s the reasons for crony capitalism, environmental degradation and the callous politics that cast out our most vulnerable members when they are at their lowest – all the while telling us that they do so in our collective interests, that opportunity awaits for us too - as if they are the most deserving, rather than the best placed.





Donna Meadows, of Limits to Growth fame, writes:

"What is the point of the game? To grow, to increase market share, to bring the world (customers, suppliers, regulators) more and more under the control of the corporation, so that its operations becomes ever more shielded from uncertainty. John Kenneth Galbraith recognized that corporate goal—to engulf everything—long ago. It’s the goal of a cancer too."

Privacy is integral to the human experience. It is the key to our diversity, identities and creativity. Without privacy and the absence of judgment and reflection that it provides, humans are loath to experiment, loath to be different. Our reality is social.

We seek connection – this is the very mechanism for our willingness to conform, group identity built on imitation and concession – and yet in absence of privacy, this tendency is exploited, existing power structures reinforced and a colourful world rendered in black and white. At its core, privacy comes down to autonomy – having the space necessary for self-knowledge, expression and governance.

In the transcendence of “conspiracy” and all its negative connotations we have an opportunity to discuss the other uncomfortable truths equally unjustly dismissed by those with the most interest in preserving the status quo: the effect of debt as the basis of our monetary system – driving a growth our finite planet cannot sustain; the degree of corporate intrusion into our democratic institutions, the massive inequality this helps fuel and the societal costs it imposes; our dependence on oil and the incompatibility of this with both our climate and industrial economy; and the limits of our psychology when faced with a centralised political system.





Will the revelations of one truth open your eyes to others, or will you continue to let an old narrative obscure anything to the contrary, even as the evidence piles up against it? It is absolutely time to wake up: time to examine the core beliefs that our society is founded on, and to ask whether our current system is capable of providing them. It is time to look at the root of our economic, social and environmental crises, and to ask some hard questions: to what degree is it productive? Who does it serve? Could there be a better way?

We have been conditioned our whole lives to disbelieve doomsayers, their claims of collapse and all the exhortation for change this brings. Time and time again we have seen these heretics slammed: wrong, insane, deluded – til the analysis that correctly rejected their misdirection is abandoned in favour of wholesale dismissal – no longer evidence based, but fuelled by an unholy tangle of identity and ideology.

How ironic, that we might come to this – a rejection of the best respected, their claims ignored under pretence of conspiracy then downright slandered in an attempt to distract from any objective validity they might have.

In this we don’t just see a rejection of their position, but a rejection of the objective fact-based reasoning that underlies our very knowledge systems.

This is the eruption of ego that blights the right: the exaltation of dominance over all else – I am right and you are wrong. It this removal of any checks or balances, of any recourse to something beyond the individual, that cuts man off from man, woman, himself, and us all off from the earth that has nourished us so well that we now grow indifferent to its limits, bloated from the bounty we have extracted, scrambling in the darkness. Still the earth is indifferent to us. So, would it seem, is the Government.

I quote Snowden:

"Let me be clear: any statement that mass surveillance is not performed in New Zealand, or that the internet communications are not comprehensively intercepted and monitored, or that this is not intentionally and actively abetted by the GCSB, is categorically false. If you live in New Zealand, you are being watched."

You see, Sir Bruce Ferguson was the GCSB chef until 2011. By the time the GCSB illegally spied on Kim Dotcom he had left the building and it was Hugh Wolfensohn who was acting director at the time who had “authorized” the illegal probes. Not just on Kim Dotcom but also on around 80 other New Zealanders.

What Snowden is testifying too is the fact that John Key presided over the development of a “Business” plan for whole sale data collection in 2012 AFTER Sir Bruce Ferguson had left and before the date of 8 May 2013 at which John Key presented the change in law required to enable wholesale spying legally

Mr Key said cyber attacks in 2011 led the Cabinet to approve an investigation into wider cyber protection which he stopped in March 2013.

Wider cyber protection I hope you will agree with me is just a spin name for wholesale spying on an entire population.

Leading up to the “Moment of truth” event John Key at first denied that there was wholesale data gathering going but that is not the issue here.

The issue is that the Prime minister of this country was involved in organizing wholesale spying on his population by a FOREIGN and very controversial spying agency (NSA) with the help of a NSA financed group (GCSB) to whom he appointed a hand picked dare I say it HENCHMAN and former schoolmate Ian Fletcher in what Sir Bruce Ferguson said was a very disturbing manner at a time this was highly illegal and without telling his population.

He also told his population that there would be not way the amendment to the law would enable anybody to collect wholesale data while he knew very well that it would.

The amendment was passed under urgency which is essentially a very nasty way of bullying laws into existence without due process in the manner used by the National party.

You have to ask yourself the question as to why John Key who came here to help New Zealand or so he said, made it possible for foreign intelligence gatherers to collect large amounts of data from people who are not accused of being engaged in any criminal activities. It is clearly not in New Zealand’s interest to have their privacy being invaded in such a wholesale manner.

In Holland we have a saying: U vraagt, wij draaien. It essentially stands for: you tell me what you want me to do and I’ll jump. The question is who asked and who did John Key jump for?
